My lightbox weren't working properly, I paid them $922 for a transformer replacement. It stopped working after 5 days, as I was requesting a technician to help fix this issue on the phone, they hung up on me. I called back, texted and nobody answers. Avoid this business if you don't want to put your money in trash. Also, my lightbox has white sheet that goes on top, they broke it and put white tape on it. From here, you can tell what kind of a crappy business this is. AVOID! Take your business somewhere more professional. OVERPRICED. read more

This is not a professional company. But they do charge professional prices. We had an electrician from Solomon come to the house to work on an electrical issue and to give us a quote for some electrical work. We decided not to do much of the suggested work because the price was quite high. But we did pay an exorbitant price to have some outside light fixtures connected because we needed it done quickly.. The analyst spent a couple hours at the house and didn't solve the problem. He left without clearly communicating what he was doing or when he was coming back. Another electrician was sent out on the next workday to finish the job. He did his work in a few minutes, locating the problem and fixing it. We were told by the company that the first electrician had done all the analysis, so the fix was very easy for the second electrician. That fix was tightening the wire connection and adding a plastic cap. Somehow it doesn't add up because the work done by the second electrician could have been done by the first electrician in about five minutes. Who would leave a job in the middle of the afternoon when a couple minutes is left and have another technician sent out for a 30 or 40 minute drive to and from a location for a couple minutes of work? The more annoying thing is that the first electrician had removed the guard from the outdoor circuit breakers and left it lying in the grass. So I'll have to reattach the guard myself. That technician had also removed a outlet cover, which he put back on with one screw, not two, and then tightened so hard that the cover cracked. I'll also have to fix that myself. This is ridiculously unprofessional company. Buyer beware. Look elsewhere! read more

I got a diagnostic package with 1 switch repair for $399 (with tax it was $416.96). I called the company on Thursday and they were fully booked on Friday. So they came out on Monday morning. The electrician stayed less than an hour and he replaced the Lutron three way switch with the new one that I had for him. read more

I had a horrible experience with Solomon Electric. I contracted with this company for an external residential rewire job. This job had to be permitted by the City of Miramar, which they were told upfront. The permitting process was initiated however this company could not present a plan that was accepted by the code enforcement department. I started asking for a refund for the deposit I paid and did not get any cooperation. I had to take file a small claims case in Broward County. After six months of haggling and delay tactics, I finally got my refund plus court fees. There was never an apology, only a promise to make it right. It never happened. Beware. read more
