    Passionfruit "key lime pie"

The only saving grace of this establishment is the live music. Service leaves wanting more. Much more. Our waiter abandoned us after bringing our dessert and tea and learning that we will not be ordering anything else. No one checked in on us the entire time we were occupying the table. Even Getting our bill was not as simple as it should be. We got tea and dessert at 9pm on a Monday and were told that since we are occupying a table at prime time evening slot, we must order alcohol. Which we did not want. So we were charged mandatory drink minimum. Not cool. Especially on a strip of cafes and restaurants that offer same live music and do not require you to pay for what you do not want. Go to a different cafe that has better service and treats you with respect! Passionfruit "key lime pie" was overly sweet and underwhelming. All we could taste was sugar and syrup. Will not be returning.

$7 beers, total bill over $70 for fish tacos, 2 beers. You pay to see the beach. It is loud.. can't hear your partner. Tacos were dry but the beer was cold. Total tourist trap. Sorry, but think there's better out there. Drinks around us were interesting. Don't think I'd return.

Service was fantastic here. Very friendly and attentive. They had some fantastic drink specials but it was in a humongous glass... if I didn't have to work the next day I would have gotten one of those...I think she said it was 45oz! The food was great. Everything came out fast, fresh and tasty.

Cute and convenient restaurant near the beach. We stopped by for a quick lunch with my dogs and they were very accommodating. Both food and drinks were delicious. Our server was super sweet as well. I forgot his name. Totally recommend.

A letdown. Summary: business owners exploit labor for profits. Classic, but rarely do you see it so obviously. Just wanted a decent breakfast and while yes the food itself was good, it wasn't so great that it could excuse several decisions by the business' operating model. 1. A 15% service charge is tacked onto your check. This is NOT gratuity - you are still expected to tip your servers. It's explained that this charge goes to the back of house. Which tells me this owners of this place do not pay their back of house any kind of decent wage. For folks who have worked on restaurants you know how crucial these jobs are to a successful operation. Further more, the average age of the girls working tells me the owners are exploiting labor under the guise of "first job/gain experience." A server explaining a service charge and asking to be tipped? If I were the owner of this place I would be ashamed of myself. 2. Atmosphere: mind you, my wife and I wanted some breakfast. Why is there a DJ bumping house music at 10am on a Saturday morning to hungover patrons? Read the room my guys... This spot is dirty. Look up and you can see dust bunnies on fans, vents, and the lighting system. Massive fire hazards all over with the general lack of care & maintenance. You know what did look good? The bar area. I can see where the priorities lie. Tables and chairs need some serious updating. The aesthetic is very "let's spend as little as possible on anything and everything so it all falls apart and looks terrible when left outside to the elements." Which is this whole place. 3. No silverware - just plastic forks and knives. But real plates? If everything was roughly 5 bucks cheaper I could excuse this, but if you're charging restaurant prices then you better show up. 4. Food: it was fine. It won't win any awards but it will satiate you. I was a bit disappointed in the Mexican omelette as the eggs were over cooked in order to cook the vegetables inside, which were largely underdone anyway. My wife ordered the nachos and we shared that. It was just okay as well however the portion size is indeed great for sharing.

What a fantastic vibe. When they have live music it is a blast! Everyone dancing, singing and having a good time. The live music was amazing. They sang a variety of music genres and knew how to work the crowd. I loved how nice and friendly all the staff were. The food was good. The drinks were well balanced with alcohol to delicious flavors

Love love love this place!!! Yes it is expensive but you're eating on the strip looking at the beach so it is given. The food and dtinks were phenomenal. We got the smothered nachos with steak and sampler basket. Hit the spot on delicious-ness. Definitely recommend coming here.

Stopped by for a couple drinks after dinner on a Saturday night. We caught some great live music while we were there. Our bartender was very friendly and attentive, and made our first round of drinks (key lime pie martinis) nice and strong. The place is right by the water, and the lighting is clutch, making this place's atmosphere A-1. The drinks were a little pricey but ok for what we were going for. A nice place to stop if you're out in Fort Lauderdale on a Saturday night.

Classic "tourist trap" beachside restaurant. This spot is in line with 5 other places just like it at the intersection of Las Olas and the beach. I will say the views are Great which is what you're paying for. The food is pretty average. The chips are thin and mediocre. Guac was too soft/puréed. Got the Vegan Burger which actually tasted pretty good. The waffle/curly fries were tasty and fried. This place like the others had many drink "specials" but everything is overpriced for the value received. Live music or DJ is a nice touch. Overall you pay for the view and the location which is prime. Was surprised to see an added "Service Fee" even though we were a Table for 2.

The food, having eaten the Vegan burger was mediocre at best. The atmosphere, being along the main drag on this New Year's Eve was brilliant. Live music, Anna our server was extraordinary at taking care of us and made sure we had all the right meals. I would have wished for a better quality in my meal but well worth the outing if you are to drink as they looked like sizable portions.

I give this place 3 stars because the atmosphere is appealing and draws you in. They had a dj playing good music at night when we went. I order a dragonrita, tasted like a mule more than a margarita. My husband and I order the sampler -- came with curly fries, fried shrimp, chicken tenders and onion rings with 3 dipping sauces. The chicken tenders & shrimp were fine but the fries and onion rings were not fresh.

I can confidently say they delivered on one of those things, the experience. Unfortunately, the food felt like a failed attempt to escape... an escape room. Let's start with what absolutely works. The location is stunning. Truly breathtaking. The views are spectacular, the atmosphere is elegant, and the setting makes you feel like you have unlocked a premium level of Fort Lauderdale nightlife. The service is upscale and unhurried. No one rushes you, no one pressures you, and you are encouraged to linger and enjoy the moment. From a vibe perspective, you are winning. The drink menu is limited, but what they offer is top notch. Well crafted, balanced, and enjoyable. Think of the drinks as the first puzzle you solve successfully. Confidence is high at this point. Then the food arrives, and this is where the escape attempt starts to fall apart. We began with the bruschetta, which was absolutely dominated by balsamic. Not gently accented. Not thoughtfully drizzled. This was a full-scale balsamic ambush that completely overwhelmed the dish. Puzzle one failed. Next came the octopus. Perfectly cooked. Tender. Juicy. Textbook execution. Unfortunately, the flavor was nowhere to be found. Every bite was completely hijacked by the beans in the dish, leaving the octopus feeling like a background prop in its own plate. Puzzle two failed, morale dropping. Then came the calamari and mussels. Once again, the seafood was cooked properly, but flavor had clearly escaped through a hidden exit. Bland, forgettable, and confusing in how something prepared this well could taste like so little. Puzzle three failed, clock ticking. The fourth dish was the caprese salad, which somehow managed to swing in the opposite direction of the bruschetta. The tomatoes tasted like they were fresh from a grocery store shelf. The balsamic barely showed up this time, as if it had used up all its energy earlier. The mozzarella sat there watery and bland, contributing nothing and offering no clues. Final puzzle failed. Escape attempt unsuccessful. By the end of the meal, I felt like I had just spent two hours in an escape room where everything looked incredible, the staff was friendly, the room design was flawless, but none of the puzzles worked and you never actually escaped. Overall, Escape Rooftop Bar delivers breathtaking views, excellent service, and strong drinks. But the food turns the entire experience into a beautifully designed trap. When expectations are sky high and the kitchen cannot deliver, the disappointment hits harder. Two stars, awarded for the scenery, the cocktails, and the hope that one day the food finds the exit.

Between the city and ocean views, the sexy atmosphere, the DJ playing all the best hits, and the indoor/outdoor seating, it instantly gave upscale date night and girls' night energy. Definitely a 21+ crowd and reservation-worthy. We sat outside overlooking the views, and from the moment we arrived, Barbie (I think her name was Barbara/Barbie) was such a sweet and welcoming hostess. Our server was also amazing she was a redhead (forgot her name but shoutout to the "redhead sisters" lol). We started with the short rib empanadas, which were DELICIOUS and came with onions and peppers that added so much flavor. We also had the shrimp two ways coconut fried shrimp and ceviche style. The coconut flavor wasn't super noticeable, but overall still really good. Black Angus Filet medium. WOW. Easily the best thing we ordered. It came with asparagus, mashed potatoes, and this incredible black mushroom sauce that tied everything together perfectly. Cooked beautifully and packed with flavor. Honestly, I'm still thinking about it. My mom ordered the spice crusted salmon salad and absolutely loved it. We also tried the Alla vodka... it was okay for us personally. My cousin and I are huge Italian food lovers, so we've definitely had better, but my moms enjoyed it. Drinks were also on point, we had two dirty martinis, aunt had a margarita, and mom had a white wine. While enjoying the music and rooftop atmosphere. They even have indoor and outdoor bar seating plus bathroom attendants, which added to the upscale experience.

We sat outside and did the seasonal tasting menu. Overall, it was good, but I was disappointed it wasn't truly amazing -- which is what most people expect from Michelin-star dining. The plating, technical execution, and quality were excellent, but somewhere along the way, flavor often took a back seat. One dish also came with what seemed like julienned wax or parchment paper mixed in, which I had to spit out -- definitely unexpected at this level. 5/5 Koshihikari Rice with Maitake -- Served under a creamy Comté foam that slowly melted away to reveal perfect rice underneath. A comforting umami bomb with nutty notes. Easily one of our favorites. 5/5 Wagyu Croustade -- Wagyu tartare in a crisp pastry shell with smoked onion gelée and crispy leeks. Rich, bright, smoky, and texturally perfect. 5/5 Foie Gras "Nutter Butter" -- I'm allergic to peanuts so I couldn't try it, but my husband said it was outstanding. 5/5 Apple & Burrata Salad -- Refreshing, playful, and beautifully balanced while still letting the burrata shine. The flaxseed tuile added great texture. 4/5 Prawn Toast -- Very good, especially with the quail egg, but the gochujang barely registered and the toast itself was extremely oily. 4/5 Japanese A5 Wagyu Bavette -- Perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the sweet potato, but the goji-berry mole was too sweet and overpowering. We would've preferred something more savory with a little heat. 4/5 Wellfleet Oyster -- Beautifully chilled, but the coconut foam overwhelmed the delicate oyster and muted the smoked garlic. 4/5 Brioche Pull Aparts -- Warm, buttery, and pillowy soft. Good, just not particularly memorable. 3.5/5 Brioche Stuffed Amish Chicken -- Impressive technically and incredibly moist, but lacking flavor overall. Even the foie gras sauce fell flat, which felt almost impossible. 2/5 Roasted Corn -- My substitute for the Foie Gras "Nutter Butter" because of my peanut allergy, and honestly not remotely equivalent. Just roasted corn in a dry rice paper cup. 4/5 The Banana -- Hazelnut cake layered with perfectly pea sized piped praline cream and topped with a thin sheet of white chocolate. Great hazelnut flavor and crunch, though the chocolate lacked the snap I expected from being properly tempered (or maybe sat out too long). The dark chocolate ice cream had nice coffee notes but wasn't very creamy. 3.5/5 Strawberry Cheesecake -- Light with an interesting strawberry yuzu compote, but too sweet and not memorable. It may have suffered from sitting out too long. 3.5/5 Madeleines -- Served with a banana foster-style accompaniment. Slightly dry, missing that classic crisp exterior and buttery interior. We didn't order the last two desserts and were told they were compliments from our waiter -- possibly because of the mystery substance I found in one dish. No one really followed up on it, but we appreciated the gesture.

Drew, the bartender, even went out of his way to make me a specialty drink I had seen on Yelp that's no longer on the menu, such a thoughtful touch. The salmon is huge and very fresh. It has a mild blackening/seasoning that forms a nice crust. The chicken reminds me of my mom/grandma/great grandma's chicken cutlets! Very Italian/Sicilian vibe. (Get them with mash potatoes). The patio is always comfortable with a great breeze and a view of the ocean a block away. What really stands out here though is the friendly service. Andres has been there almost every night and has always been great. He is very prompt with bringing drinks and food. You can see them hustling down to the kitchen and keeping things running smoothly. But what I like the most is the friendliness. He is always willing to chat about soccer, music, wine, or anything else (but also knows when to leave you alone so you can eat). Also, the value is pretty good. The wine is $10 or less. They have my favorite Malbec. And even the ribeye, at the beach, for $27 is not bad at all. Some of the appetizers are a bit pricey ($13 french fries) but I think all in all its one of the better values in the area. Note they do not serve liquor, only beer and wine. Also, there are no tables inside. Just a small bar inside and then several tables outside. This is a fairly quiet and unpretentious restaurant. If you want a trendy noisy evening this is not the place. It has never been packed, but there is usually a person or two at the bar. They play music but it does not dominate the atmosphere. Usually something chill like reggae. If you want friendly service, good food, and a relaxing environment, then this is a great choice. Dog friendly patio. This is the type of place you can sit with a book and drink wine, or catch the soccer game and have a beer or three. Definitely worth a visit especially if you are staying at the hotel!

The ambiance of the place is lovely, decorated with string lighting that looks so gorgeous at night. The patio area is much bigger than I anticipated and even has some larger tables for any larger parties. We started off with an appetizer of the peach burrata, which was tasty! I would give it 4/5. We then got wine flights which I thought were such a great value for the price. You get 3 small sized wine glasses for $15 and get to sample three wines! Definitely recommend this 5/5. As entrees, we shared two entrees - the pesto pasta and the gnocchi which at the time was made with a pork type of sauce. Both were very delicious and we really enjoyed the flavors of both. The consistency of the gnocchi's sauce was a bit interesting, as it was all sort of blended together, but the flavor was very good! Would give them each 4/5. We ended the night with tiramisu - delicious and the presentation was very cute. I haven't had very much tiramisu to compare against, but I'll give it 5/5 as I really enjoyed it! As for service, our waitress was very attentive and nice but note that they can get busy on weekend evenings, so expect a little bit of a wait. Overall, I had a great time and enjoyed the food. My favorite part of the night were the ambiance and the wine flights. I hope to come back again soon!

Super friendly across the board. The vibe is the best part. The outdoor courtyard setup is really cool, especially at night. Just a great atmosphere whether you're grabbing a drink or staying a while. Had the margarita pizza our last night and it was legit--really good. Highly recommend if you're in Fort Lauderdale and want a laid-back spot with great energy.

I visited again for the anniversary party and was shocked how many people were there! It was great to see and the energy was off the charts. They had an anniversary drink special which was nice as well as a ton of pop up bars and electric music from a dj. It felt like an EDM concert but free to attend which I was incredible. The beat was so good that it made everyone dance throughout the boat. I have to say that they definitely know how to run a party. I'm not sure if every Saturday night is that busy or if it was due to the anniversary party but I will have to visit again soon to see. The entire marina village was decorated so nicely and had people throughout so it felt alive. I am so glad this addition in Fort Lauderdale is getting the love it deserves so it can still stay lively and be recommended to all. Can't wait to visit again soon.

Sidecar Speakeasy was the play... The speakeasy entrance was hidden in a hallway you can walk right by without even noticing. I dig it. Once inside, it's dark. Most of the light is coming from the light showcasing the bottles in the bar. The seating is a little tight as they're trying to maximize space for such a small area. We visited here twice during my visit: We sat at a table and a bar. You have the perfect amount of space for your party, but you're pretty close to the next table or bar seat. No claustrophobic vibes though. All the mixologists were great during both visits. One visit, we ordered their signature cocktails from the menu. When we sat at the bar, we had the mixologist surprise with a cocktail off the menu. He just asked what kind of liquor vibe we wanted, and he took it from there. He was super creative with every cocktail which made for a great time. They stayed upon until midnight one one visit and until 1 am on the other one. Both my visits were on a weekday. The sidecar speakeasy is easily my favorite bar in Fort Lauderdale and I have a feeling I'll be back. Enjoy!
