I felt supported along the way and she continues to be an excellent resource (our puppy is now almost 5 months!). I traveled by plane to pick up our sweet Jeffrey and I felt so prepared, thanks to Deanna! What could have been a stressful situation was organized and balanced, even despite of COVID (she's also very mindful of precautions, which was important to me). When I took Jeffrey home, he was already used to brushing and nail clipping. He learned to feel comfortable in his crate quickly AND he's the biggest lover of people (kids included!) and other animals. A truly content and sweet puppy . Thank you, Deanna!!!

A min-pin/chiuaua mix, so adorable (see pic)…read more The description said she was staying in a foster home and to contact the foster mother for more info and gave her email, and I thought to myself, here we go again. So I emailed her, not expecting to hear back, but to my surprise she emailed me back within 15 minutes! She sent me an application, which asked reasonable questions and set up an appointment to bring Breezy over the next day and see how she would get along. Turns out, although being really nervous, she got along great, the rescue lets you have a trial period of 1-2 weeks before they cash your check to make sure everything works out. It's now two weeks later, Breezy (now Lemon) is spoiled and loves playing with the other dogs. She's such a sweetheart, we love her, and we love this rescue! Chris' (my fiance) mom also just adopted another little dog from here last week. They are so great to work with, and work really hard to find their dogs homes.

I met with Chris who really took the time to get to know me and talk about the dog I was going to see before bringing him out. I really like how you can meet the dog in a calm environment (out in front of their house under the shade). This rescue is run by a family of four very committed people. They keep the dogs in a home on a large lot; the dogs are not kenneled. The animals are really in a "home" like environment until they find their forever families. They like to keep in touch with adopters, which is awesome and really shows that they care about placing dogs in the perfect home. I would definitely recommend this rescue to anyone looking to adopt a dog!

My little guy was scheduled to be killed because he was so scared. HOME took him in, cleaned him up and took care of him until I met him a month later. I went to an adoption day to look for another dog and saw my future babe in a corner licking his cage. It was love at first sight. He was the missing piece to our family. I can tell he was house trained by HOME and also treated very well. They made sure to interview us and make sure we kept in touch with them to let them know how it worked out. He has no behavioral issues, no health issues and they transferred his registration and microchip into my name after a month. They make sure their dogs don't end up on the street again. This organization also provides extensive medical care for injured dogs out of pocket. I always donate whenever I can. I will never forget the immense gift they gave me just by saving the life of a dog I would come to love more than anything. I would highly recommend this rescue!
