Super clean and aesthetically pleasing studio. I took a Full Body class with Tiffany and it kept me on my toes (literally) the entire time. The class was so active and engaging that the time flew by so quickly. Tiffany was very patient with me and literally showed me the ropes/cords. I'm fairly new to reformer Pilates but this was the best studio I've been to. It's such a bonus that there is free public parking in the adjacent garage next to the AMC and they don't require you to wear grip socks for the workout. I must come back here again. Woah, what a workout. I'm a (trying to be consistent this time around) member of Classpass and really enjoy a good pilates class and figured I'd explore a few around the city and found my faves. And I ended up at solidcore one afternoon! This wasn't my first time at Pilates, but my first time at solidcore. I'm no pro by any means, but definitely a fan. Located in the Madison Yards shopping/retail area, solidcore is right next to a (free) parking deck and a few other fitness and beauty spots. The parking deck was super clutch as I didn't luck up on the great, but limited, spots right outside of the door. It was easy to park and walk only a few steps to class. So important if you're about to get your butt kicked in a pilates workout and need to hobble out to your vehicle, lol. Upon entry, there wasn't anyone at the front but I was obviously at the right place. I love that the door is actually locked and those signed up for class receive a code in advance. Love security measures to keep folks safe. It's an intimate space, so it was easy to see where to go and upon entry, I met with Sarah, our enthusiastic instructor. This class was packed, not a reformer was left out! I'll say that this was a great workout, but it wasn't for anyone who hasn't been to multiple solidcore classes, not even just pilates, Sarah was fantastic, but I absolutely noticed that I was the only person in the class who seemed to be new to solidcore. They do traditional pilates, but the dim lighting, the pacing, not for me. Being that I still consider myself a beginner because I don't immediately know the names of each move (like in Yoga) and because my body doesn't immediately flow into the movement because I'm still computing the instructions, lol, I was not on track with the others. I reallyyyyy wish I would have known it wasn't a beginners class or that it had been labeled as such on Classpass (idk if it is on their website, it very well may be). Luckily for me, I'm no quitter and I really don't even think there would have been a clear moment for me to slip out anyways lol. Sarah was kind, as at a few points when she saw that my form was incorrect she corrected me. I would have loved more guidance but don't blame that on Sarah in any way, as it really was dark in there and she had 6+ other students to pay attention to lol. But I'm big on getting my form right and found that to be a little struggle due to the pace and my usual 4-eyed self not having glasses and unable to see my form in the mirrors due to the lighting LOL. Very much, personal issues that I won't put on solidcore. Overall, a great class taught by Instructor Sarah and my body ached the next day in the best way. Although I had a good experience, I think I'll return once I have more consistent pilates classes under my belt so that I can keep up, or I'll be back when I can slip into a lower-level class until then! read more

They are open! I'm so glad this location didn't shut down permanently. I came back after they reopened due to covid-19. They are practicing social distancing by turning every other machine around so you're not right next to someone while you work out. It works because you are not switching from machine to machine and will stay on one the whole workout. They also spray/wipe the machine after each class. I went to two classes back to back and I am sooo sore! It's definitely an extremely effective workout. I will be going back! Oh, and street parking and garage parking is free! Love the workout & the intensity! A little expensive but normal for the ATL area. Have seen a huge difference in 6 months being consistent!

I took three classes with them and talked to an instructor after my third. From what I understood, the workouts come from corporate so there's little room for modification. The workouts are fast-paced and the instructors are trying to fit everything in. So, there's not much time or light (it's a dark room) for instructors to ensure class attendees have proper form, or for them to share modifications, if needed. . The people who love it REALLY love it. I'd say if you don't have a body that needs modifications and you want something intense, it might be for you. I think that a studio should be able to offer basic mods, but none were offered, and I mainly did my own thing for the majority of my last class. . It was obliques and abs. I was wearing wrist and shoulder braces for support. I was there early. When the instructor asked what kind of injuries people had, two people said shoulder, and I added wrists too. Yet, because it was a corporate assigned workout, the whole thing was on wrists or forearms, anyway. Thus, the low star count. . The vibe: Dark room. Neon blue light across the ground. Loud typical aerobics on a mic instructor voice. They do get to pick their own music. read more

I appreciate a good workout, but it's not worth the attitude. I had my first class at Solidcore with Rose at the Madison Yards location in Atlanta, GA. (My understanding is that she is one of the managers.) My two friends and I had a horrible experience with her that it ruined our perception of the brand in its entirety. I was originally excited to try Solidcore at the recommendation of a friend who attends a studio on the west coast. Rose didn't help us when we struggled (my friend almost fell off and someone in the class came to help her), berated us in front of the entire class for showing up at the start time (instead of early-- which was entirely my misunderstanding), and generally disregarded us. Even though we were still the first to show up, I apologized for any inconveniences-- yet she persisted with her condescending and unprofessional attitude. I'm a scientist at a pharmaceutical company, it's not exactly like I'm a dense person. But Rose seemed to do her best to make us feel stupid and unwelcome during the class by perpetually scolding us and flippantly changing our springs for us when we were not quick enough. After the class, she didn't try to talk to us about our experience or make herself available for questions-- we didn't even get a "bye" from her. Our experience was so horrid, we have no interest in Solidcore as a whole. Perhaps I've been spoiled with other group classes having a friendly and encouraging environment. But if I were you, I'd just walk 5 more feet and go to the Orange Theory next door. read more
