Solidaritet is an nightclub at a good location in Stockholm (in the "Stureplan" neighbourhood that's associated with affluence). The club plays a lot of techno music as many other nightclubs in Sweden. Unfortunately, me and my friends have only negative experiences with the club, as it has a very strange criteria when it comes to admitting guests.
Last night, me and eight friends went out in Stockholm. We had decided a few days in advance to try Solidaritet. I signed us up on the guestlist together with a friend and we received texts saying that we would be welcome. I put on my best clothes to make sure that I fulfilled the dress code and when we came there, we waited in line until our turn came. After the bouncer looked at me up and down, he said to me that I was too drunk to attend the venue and that me and my friends were not welcome. I had not touched a drop of alcohol the entire night. I believe that the bouncer must have used this as an excuse since he did not like me, perhaps because I'm not Swedish. Or perhaps we were just too ugly or looked like we were not rich. After this, me and my group had no choice except to take the train back home. If we had not been told beforehand that we would be welcome to the venue, we could have saved a lot of time and money.
Due to this experience and similar ones that I've heard from other friends, I cannot recommend going to this place. Try nightclubs in the Södermalm area, these things do not happen there. read more
