They even designed a walk in one direction for entering and exiting throughout the office with limited people in the waiting area. She asked to put me on hold to speak to the Dr. She was able to get me an emergency appointment for the next day. I was shocked! I didn't have to wait after signing off on my new patient documents before being called back. They took care of my tooth and of course invited me back. This office uses ultrasonic cleaning and hand tools to really make sure all plaque and calculus is removed. Plus, when I had to get a cleaning from another local place, the quality I got was night and day from here. I really do notice a difference from the time and care she takes. I find this practice to be detail-oriented, and spend the time they need to ensure your needs are met (I've noticed my cleanings go longer to accommodate and get me back to center if I need more work, or Dr. Entralgo spending extra time with me if I come in with a concern) The Doctor doesn't recommend procedures or fillings unless you need it, and even does the "watch and wait" while offering other products I can switch to so I can stay ahead of my dental health trends (whether it's toothpaste or new mouthwash to buy at the store.) As for the office, the staff is extremely kind, caring, and solution-based. I was advised that I needed periodontal scaling and root planing (deep cleaning). I was offered Hydroxyapatite Regeneration Medicam and declined it because I could not afford it. I was informed that I could not receive the antibiotic treatment because I was pregnant (18 weeks pregnant at the time). I understood that the only treatment remaining on my plan was scaling and root planing. I paid $154.50 toward Phase One of treatment. After payment was collected, I was informed that treatment could not be performed until the office obtained clearance from my OB-GYN. I left the appointment without receiving treatment. I returned for what I understood to be my Phase One scaling appointment. Upon arrival, I was told I needed to pay an additional amount exceeding $200 before treatment could be performed. I was not expecting additional charges and did not have the funds available. When I attempted to ask questions about the charges and treatment plan, I felt that I was repeatedly interrupted and spoken over by front desk staff. I retrieved my original treatment plan and receipt from my vehicle to clarify the discrepancy. During the discussion, I was repeatedly told that I needed an antibiotic treatment. This conflicted with the information I was given on my first visit, when I was told I could not receive the antibiotic because of my pregnancy. I attempted to discuss the Hydroxyapatite Regeneration Medicam listed on my treatment plan and explained that I had declined it due to cost. I was told that my understanding of the treatment plan was incorrect and was asked who had provided me with the previous information. As a first-time patient, I did not know the names of the individuals I had spoken with during my initial visit. I requested a refund of the $154.50 that I had previously paid. I was informed that a refund would be issued by check at a later date. I left the office without receiving treatment. I was left confused about my treatment plan, the charges presented to me, and the conflicting information I received regarding treatment during pregnancy. I felt dismissed and distressed by the manner in which my concerns were handled when I attempted to seek clarification.
