I love soup! I can eat hot soup all year long, even when it is over 100º out. So, I was very excited when Solé SoupS opened their third location in the Gelson's Village Calabasas. The shop is small, with a limited variety of fresh bone broth, fresh soups, fresh salads, and fresh sides daily, along with a large variety of many fresh-frozen soups and a few entrees available. The fresh soups vary each day, and you can find out what is available by checking the company's IG account. They post what is fresh in their stores each day. Every time I stop by, I am offered an opportunity to sample the fresh soups. I prefer the fresh varieties over the frozen one, but that is just me. My favorite variety is the chicken-pot-pie chowder. Other favorites are the green split pea, the chicken bone broth, and the vegetarian Mu'Shroom™. Everyone working behind the counter, whether the owner Paul, or the other staff members, has been friendly and provides great customer service. There is no seating in the shop, and just a few tables outdoors if you are interested in eating there. Also, the hours of operation are a bit limited. Since the shop is in a large shopping area, parking is plentiful. If you enjoy soup, I highly recommend stopping by. read more

My husband and I stopped by Sole Soups on a rainy afternoon and were helped by the owner Paul. This spot is definitely more of a grab and go place with no indoor seating but still feels inviting. We both ordered the clam chowder which was light, flavorful, and filling. They offer samples of all the ready-to-go options, so we were able to taste and knew right away the chowder was the right choice for us. You can tell Paul takes a lot of pride in his soups. Soup's ON at this small, unassuming place just to the right of Gelson's in this outdoor shopping center. Helpful chap at the counter offered me a taste of anything from the hot soups available that day. They had about 6-7 to taste and LOTS of frozen ones to take home. Ended up with a "large" celery root soup which was excellent especially since I'm not a fan of celery. Enough to feed two. Grabbed a mushroom one from the frozen section for another time. A bit pricey -- after tax it came to 24 bucks -- but you can tell they use the best ingredients. NO SOUP FOR YOU! Save it all for me! read more

I ordered from this location using GrubHub and absolutely loved everything I got! I wasn't feeling well--possibly coming down with a cold--and on top of that, I was dealing with stomach issues from my GERD and IBS. Soup felt like the only thing I could handle. But finding fresh, clean, and GERD-friendly soup for delivery? Nearly impossible. Most soups are loaded with tomato, citrus, or other triggers, and when I'm sick, I can barely move--let alone cook. So I was thrilled to discover Sole Soups while searching online. It was the only place that had multiple safe options for someone with GERD. Most places offer one (if that), and none with ingredients this fresh, clean, and nutritious. To be honest, the soups sounded a little too simple from the descriptions, but I ordered three anyway--and all three were incredibly delicious! I was genuinely surprised by how good they tasted. My only complaint is the price--it's a bit on the higher side for soup. But since it's made fresh daily with high-quality ingredients, it still feels worth it to me. I can't wait to visit the location in person once I'm feeling better, and I'll definitely keep ordering from them. Located in a very remote area. I had no idea this Gelson's plaza even existed. It's so hidden away. Walked in and was nicely greeted by Paul and Lainey. Paul was awesome as he explained everything about his soups and that it's not overly salted like other places. I basically offered me samples of whatever soups he had that day. They also have frozen soups behind the register that is there year round. The fresh soups are changed out according to the season and ingredients availability. I live in Calabasas and Sole Soups is my favorite place to eat. Their food is literally healing, with ingredients like ginger, turmeric, and spices that will improve your body. I'm tired of eating glorified junk food in the forms of sugary smoothies or so called health food that just leaves you craving more. They were ALL so good it was hard to decide on just one. They have cold summer soups as well if you think it's too hot outside to enjoy a hot soup. I've been a fan of SoLé soups since I found them at the Calabasas farmers market a few years ago. I am not surprised that they have grown into three storefronts that are modern, clean and inviting. They always provide great customer service. So grateful they moved into my neighborhood and I now have easy access. Their soups never disappoint. I started off as a fan of their green detox soup, but now the cabbage and chicken is something I crave. Recently, I felt unable to control my cravings so I decided to try the 2-day soup detox. You get 10 soups for about 105 bucks. It does exactly as advertised. I felt like I was putting nothing but good nutrition into my body the last few days and I can tell my cravings are gone and I feel better about getting back on track with my clean eating. While I did get a little hungry, the fact that the food is ready to go and all you have to do is heat it up, makes it easy to stay disciplined .During this flu season, it's so important to feed yourself nutritious food, SoLé soups makes it easy. Omg Sole Soups is deeeelicious! What a nice addition to the neighborhood, especially in the Gelson's center which has been sorely lacking for food options for years. I love soup but it's hard to find fresh soup at the supermarket that isn't loaded with sodium and also tastes good, so I rarely bought it. Sole soups is like ordering a delicious soup at a restaurant but being able to have it at home, plus it is clean and healthy which makes it a great choice. The staff is extremely nice and always so helpful with suggestions. I love that you can buy a lot of the soups frozen and have them whenever you want or, get a hot soup immediately with their soups of the day option.
