The pictures are very deceiving of this place. I'm not sure if that's an old location or not but this place is TINY with only a small amount of the rare sneakers in the back. With the word "boutique" in the title, I expected Sole Boutique to be a little shoe store with a plethora of shoes. I was off. By more than a little. Sole Boutique is a store that caters to young folk (that's right, sonny, I said folk) who enjoy things like that there board on four little wheels and those ity bity bikes. Okay, Grandma Allison is gone. So Sole Boutique caters to the skateboarding hip crowd, offering fun, colorful shoes and bright shirts with interesting drawings on them. Considering people already think I am substantially younger than I am, I can't allow myself to purchase things that make me look even younger. However, if you have a nephew or son that is 15 years old, he would probably love a shirt or some shoes from this place. If you want to relive being 15 years old, you might fit in as well. read more

People....people. Let's have a moment of silence for all the hoes that you will be killing, in the event that you grab a pair of toe-tappers from this local Sneakery. I had been using and abusing footaction for about 4 years, always waiting for a shipment of unique trainers for my flat, flippity floppity feet. As with any chain, you only get so much "unique" or "exclusive" ladies inventory, and by 'so much', I mean barely any. And if you're not a woman with size 8.5 foot or below, you might as well, shuffle over to the men's section of Champs/Foot Locker/Footaction and tell the sales rep for the millionth time: "YES, the shoes are for ME and not a boyfriend, and NO, I do not need the kids section." They don't have the biggest selection, but what's there is LEGIT. It's the best I've found in San Antonio for off-beat/unique inventory in the sneaker brands we know and love (Gold and Patent Black Adidas, Purple Pumas, And Nike erry-where). And the prices?! WHAT?! They are very reasonable! You'll be able to justify eating Ramen noodles for next few weeks, because the price was right, and the sneaks were tight. Why yes, that *IS* Sho' Nuff from The Last Dragon over there in the ladies section, you just happen to be in one of the best looking boutiques EVAR. The ambience is just as vibrant yet effortless as their range of Sauconys...and don't front, you want a pair of Black velour Sauconys with a lime green trim. I tried on a pair of Black Mesh and Hot Pink Nike Blazer's and a pair of Nike Gladiator Sandals, TWICE, and that is why I can ONLY give them 3 stars (WOMP WOMP). You see, the inventory made me want to come back, after visiting the first time, and receiving lukewarm, inattentive service. I actually ended up *buying* from the boutique becuse of the customer service I recieved from the FANTASTICALLY FUNKY FRESH Ms. Fabby on my second visit. -She acted as though she was happy to help me -She took the time to explain their inventory process to me (They get UNO shipment, and they only get ONE SIZE in each. Sucks if you're identical twins with a flare for cool kicks, AWESOME if you hate to see other's wearing the same pair of shoes you have on) -When I *asked her* she was able to give me an opinion on the fit of the shoe when I had it on, she didn't rush to tell me my banana boats were hanging off the edge or anything. Tried to give this guy my money. Started messaging them at 3:21 pm on 4/21/20 about purchasing some joggers and shorts. After waiting at least 45 before each response he gave me, I was FINALLY told he sold out of the joggers and only had a small left in shorts at 6:15 on the same day. Worst customer service of ALL TIME! Please be advised there are NO REFUNDS here whatsoever! The owner was particularly rude when I attempted to return/exchange a t shirt purchased on April 23rd (I returned to the store May 7 after several attempts when the store was closed - they don't post hours on the store and leave signs up saying they will return at 5:45) Unbeknownst to me, the store does not offer refunds so I attempted to exchange it only to be told rudely by the owner himself that they have a 10 day policy on exchanges (*side note - the receipt does not specify 10 business days or ten calendar days). Also, there are no signs in the store nor do they warn you about their whack return/exchange policy. After voicing my frustration over these hidden policies (to no avail) the owner rudely told me he didn't need my business and demanded I leave his empty store. Also, be advised they are closed Sunday and Monday so be informed of you purchase something on a Friday/Saturday, you have 7-6 days to return it and better do so that week or else Felix (the lovely owner) will refuse to allow you to return it. Worst customer service ever having been a loyal customer and spread the word to friends and sneaker heads in my circle. You're better off buying direct on Amazon and avoiding the mark up/overhead to pay Sole Boutique's rent. I don't expect to return and want to thank the owner Felix and the attendant for the worst customer serivice experience of my life. Avoid this place at all costs. BUYER BEWARE! NO REFUNDS! I always ignored this place until I heard that Biz Markie was going to be there signing autographs. As a product of the 80s, I thought that was pretty exciting but I ended up missing it due to work. I went there last week in search of some new kicks for the hubs. The selection was hipper than I expected for San Antonio but not that hip. I did find some premium leather Nike dunks for $100. They look the same as the regular ones but not as bulky and without the vinyl. read more

This is, for sure, a place you should stop off at if you're in the area. I loved looking around at all the shoes. They had a variety of shoes but nothing like DSW or something. It's a local store which is always something fun to support. I don't think I've ever been into a shoe store that was so colorful and unique. The store itself is really creative and I could tell that whoever runs it has a fun personality. The employees are really helpful and nice. I'll definitely be coming back here for my next pair or sneakers. read more

Neato mosquito place in the Boardwalk on Broadway next to the Witte Museum. I have seen several ads for Sole Boutique in the Current and they always have the hippest looking sneakers, so I decided to take my hip wannabe self on over there. The shop itself is very cool. It looks like perhaps it used to be a high end jewelry shop because there are these glass showcases in the walls by the entrance door. Where thousand dollar jewels once must have been, there are colorful sneakers instead. The employees all looked up and greeted me right away when I walked in, but gave me a chance to walk around and look at all the merchandise. It's all very urban and hip and the store actually looks more like an art gallery on the inside. The paintings all over the walls are very cool and definitely add a vibe to the place. The prices are decent for a 'boutique' and they do have both men's and women's clothing here as well. While I didn't find anything for myself, I do have some people in mind to shop for come Christmas time. read more

I heart SOLE BOUTIQUE! I was in town on business and taken to the store by a friend, Sole Boutique is the bomb! Great selection of shoes! all kicks of all colors! Mos def a place for a sneaker head. I had a chance to meet the owners and they are very nice and welcoming people! So much so it made me feel even better about giving them my business. I use my dollar wisely, I firmly believe that i "vote" with my dollar on a daily and i was happy to spend my hard earned money at Sole Boutique. Their Selection for womens shoes was great, all kicks, but great colors, styles and selection. Lets just say i could have easily walked out with two or three shoes for me and my guy! The clothing was good, lots of unique tee's, some very unique leggings, pants, tanks, watches, belts. This shop gets the limited and luxe adidas, new balance, puma etc. Even for Nike, they do not carry it per se, but you'll be covered at Sneaker Palooza. ;) Faby was extremely kind and helpful, but not overbearing. The space itself is awesome and one of the best I've ever seen. Great art, Inviting and spacious, I would only change the t shirt racks a bit, but thats me nitpicking. They get great shirts and some cool hats, though their selection is kinda small. They are getting hooked up with brands that are rarely seen in the entire state. The one downside is being the same shoe size as Julio! read more

I have never experienced such horrible customer service. It has happened multiple times since they were on Broadway. I will definitely never shop there again nor will I recommend this store to anyone. Don't be fooled. They don't carry anything out of the ordinary.
