He is personable, thorough, and engenders confidence in what he's going to do from the initial meeting. In my case, several other doctors, esp GI doctors, and an emergency room, had missed what was an obvious hernia that had caused me to lose about 20 pounds in a month. When, after four other doctors visits NONE OF WHOM even LOOKED at the area in question and preferred CT scans and other expensive tests, and medicine that made things worse, my wife INSISTED another doctor take a look. By golly, said that other doctor, I believe you might have a hernia. That was what I had suggested for weeks, but they didn't have time to LOOK or PALPATE. Dr. Washington looked immediately and was flabbergasted that someone had missed it. He scheduled surgery immediately and fixed the entire problem, including suggesting another doctor to consider who is now our specialist for that kind of problem.
