Good Faith Energy - Tesla Solar Roof

I first contacted Good Faith Energy to help with solar planning for an all-electric house build I was building in Dallas, TX. While the house was still in the pre-drywall phase, I wanted to make sure that anything that could be added in the construction phase to help with solar installation later was done. Good Faith Energy helped me out, and for a nominal fee, they designed an electrical plan and coordinated with the builder on what components would make installation easier in the future. My original plan was to build the house and live in the house for a year to figure out my electricity needs, and then design a solar system around my usage. However, after moving in in early 2025, I decided to proceed with solar installation given my fear that the solar tax credit would be going away soon. I explored several solar companies, but ultimately picked Good Faith Energy. They were familiar with the products I was interested in (REC solar panels, SPAN panels, and Tesla Powerwall 3). They are very involved with the community and post very insightful videos on YouTube. You can tell that their owner and all of the employees are passionate about what they sell and install, and truly care about selecting the right solar system for you. My sales associate with Sammy, who was happy to provide different quotes, and he offered me very good suggestions about things I hadn't thought of. Joe was the engineer that worked on the plans, and he was also incredibly helpful and patient with me. He understood my desire to maximize the number of panels on my roof space, and tried out different ways with the design to maximize solar production. Samantha and Amanda were excellent project managers, who kept me informed throughout the entire project. My install was a bit more complicated than a typical residential system. My house is all-electric, and I have a 320 amp service powering two 200 amp panels. As a result, I ultimately went with a 28.5 kW REC solar panel system powering two separate sets of Tesla Powerwall 3 (5 total). Special shoutout to our electrician Ronnie and the site manager Shane, along with the rest of the Good Faith Energy install team, who battled some of the hottest days this summer to install the project on time. Their attention to detail was impressive, and the result is a very clean install. I live in a conservation district in Dallas, and as a result, I needed approval from the conservation district as well as from the City of Dallas. It took several months to get a permit, but Good Faith Energy had experience with this and knew how to handle it. There was one minor rough patch. We scheduled a city inspection two weeks ahead of schedule, but Good Faith Energy wasn't there where the city inspector came, which generated an immediate red-tag. However, this was ironed out by the next week, and we received a green tag after just one inspection the following week. Since the install, I've had a couple minor issues with the system, but Good Faith Energy was quick to respond and resolve the issues. I have been left with a feeling that this company stands behind their project. In the end, for such a complex and expensive project, I have had an extremely positive experience working with Good Faith Energy, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a solar install in DFW.

Unfortunately, dealing with Shahin Haynes made each experience less than stellar but the most recent experience with the purchase and installation of additional residential solar panels was extremely disappointing. A deposit was collected and installation was scheduled without a finalized site plan or documented design approval ever being provided to me. When installation issues surfaced, which were outside of my control, I requested to pause the project until an internal Bullet Energy plan could be reviewed and agreed upon . Shahin bluntly stated that I would forfeit my deposit if we delayed. Being financially committed to a project without an approved site plan is unacceptable. Rather than acknowledging the breakdown in process, Shahin Haynes' response was dismissive and defensive. Requests for reasonable compromise were rejected outright, and the tone of communication was unprofessional. At one point, I was told the company was not making money on a "$5K job," which is not something a customer should ever hear. In addition, Shahin suggested a solution to offset the potential loss of my deposit would be to claw-back Gage Mueller's commission. Again, as a customer, this is not something any "VP of Operations" should communicate to a customer. The installation was ultimately completed and paid in full, but the customer experience was poor from a process and communication standpoint. I escalated these concerns directly to Mr. Vogel, the COO, on December 14, 2025, and followed up again on January 7, 2026. Considering I waited two months for a response, writing a review of my experience is justified. Clear design approval, documented sign-off, and professional communication are baseline expectations. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Bullet Energy Solutions.

I saw one of my neighbors going solar so I reached out on Nextdoor about going solar. Researched a few solar companies and spoke with everyone from the large solar companies like TESLA and Sunrun. We chose Sky Country Solar because of Blake. Wasn't sure what to expect initially but it went GREAT! They were awesome to work with and after the install happened it wasn't just a "thank you, goodbye"! I can see the savings and I appreciated how they helped answer questions versus passing me off to different departments or different companies. Was easy to work and great communication. Helped me figure out what options to get for my system and fill in the gaps I never considered. We picked all black package with all black solar panels, microinverters and black mounting equipment and Tesla Powerwall! Their service was top notch, even after the install was complete.

It is when I call or message then only I get a reply that it is in progress. I don't know how I got swayed into getting 28 panels from this company. I would not recommend sky country solar to anyone. Super disappointed:( Now I have an invoice and the panels are not even ready.

Anytime I had a question or concern, he was reachable and took the time to make sure I understood everything. The solar lease program itself seemed like a genuinely good deal for my family, and I was looking forward to moving forward with it. Ultimately, I decided to cancel only because of a possible upcoming move for work, which made installing solar on our current home no longer make sense. Had our circumstances not changed, I would have continued with the installation. I especially want to make it clear that my decision to cancel had nothing to do with Jason or the experience I had with Freedom Power. Jason did an excellent job throughout the process, never pressured me, and was always available when I needed him. I would absolutely recommend Jason to anyone considering solar and would gladly work with him again if our circumstances allow for solar in the future.

Now I have a system with battery back up and my last power bill was more than before I got solar. Communication is poor. Do a lot of research before going solar and before choosing a company to get you there.
