When I initially contacted Tesla to do the work, I was given a 39-week lead time. Given the hole in my roof from a fallen tree limb, I could not wait that long. Our roofer was Kanga Roof, who then sub-contracted the work with American Dream Solar. The panel removal was completed very quickly, during which they identified a potential problem with the initial install by Tesla personnel. They exhibited great care in how the panels were removed and stored while off the roof. Once the new roof was back on, they were out in less than a week for the re-install. They did confirm that half my panels had not been connected since they were installed, which I suspect has cost me several thousand dollars in lost electricity savings. Once they were finished, and all my panel were connected, my electric generating capacity doubled. Throughout the process everyone from American Dream Solar we dealt with was professional, I would recommend them without reservation.

***Terrible terrible company. Do not use. THEY ARE CURRENTLY BEING SUED FOR FRAUD.***…read more Our experience was with their project manager Rich Speakman. If you are assigned Rich as your project manager immediately request someone else. Rich has no knowledge of construction and takes all of his subcontractors at their word without verifying the work was done for himself. We hired Korrect to finish out a bathroom remodel that went wrong. We simply needed them to finish sealing some areas, properly align some cabinets, install carpet, etc. Rich talked us into demolishing the entire bathroom by going on and on about this amazing designer he knows who would remodel our entire bathroom with a design we would love. This was going to be a $300,000+ bathroom remodel and we put down a $130,000 deposit with Korrect to get the work started. They got started on the demo of the existing bathroom right away. It was after this that we learned that the amazing designer, who is Rich's daughter, is actually a junior designer at a design firm here in Dallas. She's never done any design work herself and yet Rich, whose sole job is to select and use reputable subcontractors, decided this was appropriate for our remodel. Additionally, we came to learn that she was under a binding non-compete with her existing employer and was expressly prohibited from engaging in outside work. We have learned that Rich's daughter has since been fired from her junior designer position for violation of her non-compete. Rich's daughter never produced any actual designs for us, despite the fact that Korrect is demanding we pay for the designer fee. We learned through emails with one of Korrect's owners, Kullen, that they had actually already paid Rich's daughter in full and Kullen specficially wrote that, "he cannot lose money" on this and expects us to pay that cost despite the clear failing on the part of Korrect to vet their subcontractors. Demolishing the existing bathroom was supposed to take 4-6 days, however after three MONTHS this was still not finished (to say nothing of getting started on the ACTUAL work). We finally met with Kullen and told him that we would pay for the work that was done ($17,000) but that we would not pay for the design fee because no design work was actually provided to us and that we would like the rest of our deposit back. Kullen refused our offer in emails where he, again, stated that Korrect cannot lose money on this job and is now holding our deposit hostage claiming he is entitled to keep it despite not having done any actual work to earn it. Again, we were more than willing to pay for the work that Korrect did actually do (although not complete) to ensure their subcontractors were paid. We were simply requesting the rest of our deposit back for the work that was NEVER done. Kullen is as dishonest as they come in our opinion. Regardless of his words, his actions show us that he does not care about the ethics of business. We also had hired Korrect previously for other jobs around our property and their work was mediocre at best. One example, supposedly specialize in roof replacements and so they replaced our roof. The next major rainstorm showed us the quality of their work as our brand new roof was leaking in several places. That's just one example, however there are several more which will be brought to light in our lawsuit. Keep in mind that the only reason we're going to court with Korrect is because Kullen is trying to keep money that does not belong to him. He is a thief and, despite us spending two hours in our kitchen with him trying to work something out, has decided that we should bear the cost of his company's failings. So, if you do hire Korrect just know that they will talk a big game about doing the right thing, providing great quality work, and wanting to make sure their customers are satisfied... however, it's just that... all talk. The second there is a problem Kullen and Rich will do everything they can to keep your money regardless of whether or not they delivered on the work they promised.

Solar panels plus storage has increased my efficiency and lowered my carbon footprint. After doing…read moreextensive research on which solar provider will provide me with the overall best service, warranty, long-term care and maintenance, I narrowed it down to; Telsa and Solarugreen. Even though I own their car, their customer service, both vehicles and solar programs was less than desirable. I selected Solarugreen as my local provider and installer, because they could provide local service, respond to additional requests for added upgrades, and they have prior knowledge, experience, and installation familiarity with my system. These were just a few determining facts that lead me to Solarugreen, but after we initiated the project I'd learn that they afforded many more benefits and expertise then I had thought I needed. Partnering with Solarugreen allowed me to be engaged at all levels of photovoltaic (PV) selection, inverter performance and battery storage selection for a whole house system. As a consumer with 3 EVs and a high demand for energy consumption, I knew this solar system needed to be the best performing system that I could find for a fair market value and that would last greater than 20 years. That being said, Enphase was selected because they could deliver on my grid agnostic needs, while allowing me to capturing clean and free energy from the sun. My sleek, elegant, black Solaria 14.9 kW panels out performed my expectations, while not taking away from the curb appeal of my home. I would highly recommend the 355- or 370-watt panels to everyone. When you select Enphase, make sure you request the IQ8 microinverter, which are the state-of-the-art inverters for a multitude of great reasons. Since receiving Enphase Empower and Encharge battery storage system, it has greatly increased my energy independence away from the grid by 95%, and reduced my electrical cost by 75-80% from my previous monthly expenditures, thus getting me closer to being off the grid. In the past 8 months, my solar production is over 14 Mwh of energy, 5 Mwh of Exported energy back to the grid and nearly 700 kWh stored in the batteries for night time and off grid operations just in the past 40 days since the batteries were installed. In 4 months, I will have had this system installed for a full year, and I can wait to see what my overall calculation on my return on my investment for the future and potentially how much energy could be sold back to the electric companies, earning me money. Solarugreen has walked with me through some unchartered waters while acquiring permits (electrical, building and solar) from the city, navigating through the 30% Federal Tax Incentives, with the Oncor application for state tax incentive, and the state's homestead Exemption Application for Solar Energy Device, all of which have save me an enormous amount of money. Furthermore, Solarugreen coordinated all of my contractors and over saw the site management throughout the process. At the conclusion of the entire process, I was presented with a binder, that neatly included all my permits, solar sun survey, cost projections and solar projection and energy consumption charts, product survey, and production performance comparisons, warranties, maintenance agreements and invoice. Amazingly, I don't know of ANY vendor who would do this for a consumer. If I ever needed follow up information on my system, here is my "go to" book should I sell my home or had to MRA a replacement part or upgrade my system. Moreover, the solar system has undoubted increased my home's market value and has extended the life of my roof by 25 additional years were panels are installed. What a win-win scenario! Bottom line, I am glad that I selected Solarugreen, and am exceedingly pleased that we jointly selected a system predicated on my historical usage date and consumptions demands. It was both wise and practical to build a system based on data and not what would be nice! My solar system could make me money based on energy sold back to the grid, but that process isn't as transparent as I would like and comes with a lot of "strings" and contracts attached. Solarugreen connected me with solar specialists and engineers at Enphase and together we designed to my specifications and budget. I couldn't have asked for better partners. Solarugreen is truly a One-Stop Shopping vendor. While I've gotten no compensation or incentives for this review, I simply know good friendly professionalism when I see it. I'm actually contemplating using Solarugreen for my business properties before the tax incentives goes away. Thank you Solarugreen for outstanding work!

A Mixed Experience - Great Owner and Manager, but Issues with the Salesman…read moreFirst, I want to start with the positive. The owner and manager of Kingdom 1st General Contractors were great, and I had no problems with either of them. My roof is now complete, and the crew did a great job. I am very happy with the finished roof. Unfortunately, my experience with the salesman was a different story. He made several promises that were not kept, although I will say that the owner and manager stepped in and made things right. I was told by the salesman that my plants would be covered during the roofing process. They were not initially covered, and it wasn't until I went outside and started taking pictures that action was taken. The front yard was cleaned up and was free of nails. However, the backyard was not cleaned up, and I am still finding and picking up nails and small silver roofing pieces. This is a major concern for me because I have four grandsons who visit, as well as my dogs. The thought of one of them stepping on a rusty nail is very concerning. Proper cleanup should be an important part of completing a roofing job. Another issue was communication and follow-through from the salesman. Before we signed the contract, he was very diligent about calling and stopping by. After the contract was signed, however, it took several weeks for him to pick up the check so the company could get started. It seemed like something else was always more important. When I asked for the owner's name and phone number, the salesman finally came by. In fact, he stopped by about five minutes after the roof was nearly completed. I showed him the front lawn and the flowers that appeared to have been damaged. He told my husband and me that he would come back and, if any plants needed to be replaced, he would plant them himself. I suppose he moved on to another job because that never happened. I have waited to post this review because I have gone back and forth about whether I wanted to. I don't want to take away from the fact that the owner and manager ultimately stepped in, addressed the problems, and made sure the roof was completed properly. For that, I am grateful. Overall, I am happy with my new roof and the work the crew did. My biggest disappointment was the lack of follow-through from the salesman and the cleanup issues. The roof and crew were great, and the owner and manager were great. My experience with the salesman, however, left a lot to be desired. I initially contacted the company directly regarding my concerns. A gentleman who identified himself as the crew manager reached out to Michael and asked what had happened. After speaking with Michael, he also wanted to speak with me. I was on my way home at the time, so he told me to call him when I was available. When I got home, I called, but he was busy and said he would call me back. Unfortunately, after several additional attempts to reach him, we were repeatedly told that he was unable to talk at the time and that he would return our call. After waiting approximately, a month and making multiple attempts to have a conversation and resolve the matter directly, I have decided to share my experience publicly. My intention in posting this review is to make other customers aware of our experience and to hopefully prevent anyone else from being treated this way.
