Chicken Pesto Croissant
Pranjali S.

Visited the newest location and it is really nice!! They didn't have the green chili for the green chili white mocha so I got my usual Pueblo mocha. It wasn't as good as the one at the original Solar Roast. And I had to add a whole bunch of sugar to make it drinkable for me. The cayenne was great as always. My friend got the lavender mocha which was kinda strongly sweet in the beginning. Turns out she just had to mix it well. After that, it was delicious. And I say this even though I don't like lavender in my drinks. We also got the chicken pesto and the ham and cheese croissants. The chicken pesto was YUM. Lots of pesto, which is the trick. Heavy so I took half home. The ham and cheese wasn't anything special as per my friend. The ambience is bright and the walls have a cool abstract pattern. All in all, we really liked this and will come again next time we are in Pueblo West.

I had chunks of something hard in my latte, the business did not respond to my messages, their coffee normally is just mediocre but after getting a mouthful of *something* I'm not going back

Vegetarian quiche & Filbert Mocha (I believe that's what it was called! Caramel, hazelnut & mocha latte), YUM!!

Good coffee. Fantastic lavender lemonade! Carnitas burrito is a go to. We've eaten there twice in the past week

The food was crummy and so was the service. The employees have no clue how to pull shot of espresso.

We were very happy to find this place on our recent visit to Colorado Springs. They had about 8…read moreroasts available from light, medium and dark. We loved that they had beans of each roast available for viewing in jars so we could see them! We tried two different roasts, pour overs, and came home with a bag of medium roast beans from Mexico - a Chapias. They had some muffins available go with the coffee. We chatted for a while with the owner and really enjoyed the coffee talk. The restrooms were clean and there was plenty of seating inside. We'll be back.

First timer! So…read morecontent I chose this place for me and my cousins to visit before heading to Pike's Peak. We've gone to two different coffee shops during our stay in Colorado before coming here. Let's just say we wouldn't have minded coming to Corter Coffee Roasters every day instead of the other coffee shops we went to. The manager, LIANA, is the most pleasant person we've met on this trip. First of all, all our drinks (caramel latte's and chai latte) were BOMB. I had to tell myself to not chug my latte because it was so good. She shared places that we should visit considering we are not from here. This helped so much because a lot of our plans fell through. The bathrooms are for paying guests and they are clean and convenient. Liana, thank you for the true Southern hospitality radiating through. My cousins and I truly appreciate your kindness, conversation, and realness!

Roasting coffee beans is a real art, and Toby and Andrew do it better than anyone else I know of…read more There's nothing "automated" about it, they personally monitor every aspect of every roast, with one eye on the thermometers and the other eye (and nose) on the random samples they pull from the roaster while the beans are actually tumbling under heat. The difference between ordinary bulk roasts and the coffee High Rise sells is immediately obvious when you prepare fresh-ground coffee in a really excellent brewer, like an AeroPress. The coffee bubbles up because it's so fresh, and it actually produces crema, reminiscent of the best espresso, but without any bitterness. High Rise doesn't pre-roast their coffee and then store it in freezers. They measure it out for you on the spot, and give it to you in very high-quality sealed bags with a one-way "breathing hole" in the middle of one side. If you like, they'll grind it for you in one of two big European grinders they have right next to the coffee scales. They can also heat-seal the bags and you can mail them to friends. They'll love you for it! It's the only place I've bought coffee for ten years now, and I can't imagine how coffee could be any fresher or better. Cheers!

Pueblo, CO - The Secret Gem Revealed…read more Hands down, the hidden treasure of Pueblo sits quietly on the west side of town -- Reservoir Brewing. I strolled in after a long day of convention chatter downtown, feeling like a city-slicker cowboy wandering into an old ghost town. I pulled up a seat at the bar, surrounded by locals swapping stories and laughs. Behind the bar was the owner himself, ready to give me the lowdown on the beers. He suggested their Revolution beer but warned me it didn't come out quite like usual. so they added mango. Being the adventurous type, I said, "Why not?" First sip... home run! Easily my favorite of the night. One beer turned into a few, and before I knew it, I was closing the place down, talking with locals and the owner like we'd known each other for years. It was so good I came back the very next day to finish the beer list and check out the food. And let me tell you; Lord have mercy..... the food matched the beer in greatness. Perfect beer food. I started with the spicy habanero cheese curds (fiery but addictive) and then went in for the kill: The Rachel Fully Loaded with turkey, pastrami, and bacon on marbled rye, with chips on the side. That sandwich didn't stand a chance. Every crumb vanished. Naturally, I enjoyed a flight and stocked up with a couple of growlers to go. (Flip Flamingo Rule #1: Always keep empty growlers in the car, just in case.) The owners also mentioned they're moving to a bigger location closer to the reservoir, hopefully in September. You'd better believe I'll be back for round two at the new spot. If you want the best all-around brewery in Pueblo --Beer Food Vibes , this is it. Drop in, order a pint, and tell 'em Flip sent ya!
