The first time I came here I was satisfied I left as a happy customer John took his time with my nails and were lovely! I left him a 20 dollar tip because he did a great job!. I came back a couple months later and i can't say the same thing again experience was awful John rushed my nails and he had help from another male worker they obviously work different so my nails looked different one hand had very thick nails like bricks the other hand was a little better they both rushed through my nails they didn't even try to file them nicely it was rushed work! I asked why the rush he said because it was late, as more customers kept walking in. It was a race against time the more they did the more money they would get as it was almost closing time! I also got a pedicure my toe is now infected and it hurts so much! They don't sanitize well! Or they use same clippers without washing them first. I was so unhappy i cried when i got home the next day my toes were hurting i looked at them they were red and purple very painful! I do not recommend them! Yes they have good reviews because they have been around a long time and have great customers that keep going back to them, and they know them because they are regulars so they treat them better. Also extremely expensive i payed 180 for 3 pedicures that weren't good had nails polish on toes and my horrible nails. I seriously hate this place, it sucks when place like this have preferences over some customers. Not to mention the wait.. to get started was more then 30 mins. I have always loved this place. I've been a dedicated and loyal customer for over 7 years. I am so disheartened and disgusted by the decline in quality of services. I have gotten three pedicures over the last 6 months--all for special occasions and my birthday. each experience has gotten progressively worse and the service has been worse and worse. I got cut by one of the techs, who told me it was my fault that I couldn't stop bleeding. And that I needed to go to the dr. Not that she blatantly cut the side of my toe and it took forever for my toe to heal. I went back a couple times to show them bc the cut was deep so when I was ready to go again and finally have it fixed. They only did that one toe. Wouldn't have bothered me but it's was a gel pedi-- so the colors didn't match. I waited a while before I went again, about 2 months-- the tech I asked for was weirdly rude from the get go. Previously we had had pleasant interaction outside of the salon so I was genuinely so confused by it. When I asked her to please clean out beside the nail of my toes(not ingrown nails) and to please be gentle as I got cut before she sourly and flatly said yeah i remember I don't why you asked for me. I don't do that. She went and got the other tech -- who cut me again taking out an ingrown nail??! She proceeded to half assed my pedicure, clearly she didn't want to do --I just wanted out and told her I wanted polish and I wanted out-- so yes bet I won't ask for you again or for that matter ever come back. I came here to get my dip, nails taken off and gel nails put on. I did call ahead of time to place an appointment so there was no waiting time. they were super nice over the phone and had very good customer service. The nail tech that did my nails was Jamie and she did an amazing job. She was also very sweet. I particularly liked the way that they took my dip nail off. They did minimal effort to hurt me and break or damage my natural nails. she was very quick and did a fantastic job. I will definitely be coming here again. read more

Took my 90 year old mother in for a manicure, she sat in her chair for @ 30 minutes before anyone even started working on her, she started to leave and they told her she was next. The manicure was over within 15 minutes and the girl was so rough with my mom's massage my mom had to tell her stop because she was hurting her! Used to love going here but not anymore. read more

I have been in this business 3 times in the last 4 months. Everytime there are terrible arguments among the staff and management. From slamming there tool boxes and stomping back and forth yelling at each other in their language! I almost called 911 late one evening ! They need to get control of their business and their attitudes. It sure doesn't fit my idea of a Spa! Buyer beware: the lash extensions here (done by Vicky and her sister) are applied using NAIL glue. Not kidding. Nail glue has more in common with super glue than anything else, which can be extremely dangerous to put anywhere near your eyes. My eyes were burning and every time I worked out, because of even a small amount of sweat, they would go blurry and burn with watering. They also almost all fell out within a week and a half (definitely gone by 2 weeks), and came out in large clumps with white stuck together. Lash extensions should last for at least 6-7 weeks if done correctly and cared for. Beautiful? Yes, but at what cost? I came back to tell Vicky about the problems I was facing. She did offer for me to have the few remaining clumps removed and to have them redone again for free, but to call back next week to set the appointment. She stated, however (the most concerning part) that she was in the process of ordering nail glue for *sensitive* nails (!) this time to go on the lashes, so "it would be better next time." I went silent I was so shocked. It's very important that the glue is specifically for eyelashes, and NOT for nails. I called another time and begged the receptionist to please tell her to buy eyelash glue only, NOT nail glue (it doesn't matter if the new glue is for "sensitive nails": none of that is okay), for the sake of the health of the eyes of future customers. I haven't come back to have them redone for free because they didn't show me at the first appointment what the products (the lashes or the glue) were and asked no questions about allergies or sensitivity but just began, I'm worried about setting an appointment to only discover that nothing has actually changed in terms of getting the correct glue, and the fact that they came off within a week and a half makes it clear they weren't applied correctly. Definitely be sure that you're going with a licensed and certified lash tech beforehand, and not just reviews of someone that made the review right afterward because they loved the way it looked. Rose at Lash Unique in Dallas did a great job on mine several years ago, using an eyelash formula for sensitive eyes (with no issue), albeit more than twice the cost (hers were around $200). read more

I actually really like the work they do and would travel from ft worth to have them do my nails, but they are too much in a hurry. They rush for you to pick a color and are really pushy and it's not a relaxing experience at all. I met up with a friend to talk and we could barely talk with how pushy they were and they would talk to each other loudly while we would talk. While checking out there was absolutely no costumer service skills and she was on her phone the whole time. Unfortunately I'll never go here again. I have a love/hate relationship with this place. I usually leave happy with my nails, my problem is the waiting. I will make appointments for nails 2-4 days before and somehow I always have to wait 30+ mins. I've had them seat walk-ins before me, appointments after mine. Why have an appointment option if you don't pay attention. It's ridiculous. read more

Poor customer service...after having acrylic dust blowing in my face for 10 minutes I had to ask for a drink. Then I select that a pedicure, eye brow waxed, nail art and a set of nails. I will NEVER go back to solar nails, i came in at 3:45 and they sat me in a chair and made me soak my hands for 50 minutes, absolutely ruining and drying my hands out. I tried to wash my hands after and they just kept trying to rush me into the chair. I got dip nails and the color that i picked was not the color that i got. I asked for coffin shaped nails and they are hardly coffined at all, they just look like longer slightly skinnier square nails. And my nails all vary in length, he didn't even check to see if they match and he didn't even file down the roughness that well, i had to do that as soon as i got home. When he was using the nail filing machine he kept hitting my skin, then when i would kinda pull away he would just grab my hand harder and then keep hitting my skin. Then they are wayyyyy too expensive, i went to Denton and got my nails done perfectly for only $35, they charged me $45!!! Then the guy didn't even bother to help clean my hands up after he was done (which took forever because he left abruptly in the middle of doing my nails TWICE to go smoke a cigarette) finally by 5:45 i left, unhappy, over charged, in pain, and with leapor like hands. Overall would not recommend wish i could give them no stars. read more

I used to have pretty decent experiences here, but my last visit irritated me enough to swear it off permanently. I went in, was greeted and seated promptly. It was during the day, therefore not busy. I was going to get a basic pedicure and manicure. The tech started working on my pedicure and everything was okay. However, he started using the cuticle tool to clean my toes up and proceeded to dig under my nail for probably 2 minutes straight, not even caring if he was hurting me. I don't think it bled but it wasn't comfortable, and I wouldn't be surprised if it actually did. He barely gave me a leg massage as well. He finished up my pedicure and proceeded to begin on my manicure. Everything was fine until he used the cuticle tool to clean up my fingers, causing one to BLEED. He didn't even comment/notice until after he was done. I'm pretty sure he knew he did it but chose to not say anything. So after my nails were dry, I checked out and was charged $5 extra dollars for doing a french tip on my natural nail!!!! I was not informed of this, thus very upset. It's been like a day or two and the white tip on all of my nails has chipped or been messed up. I'm very upset the tech did not even care enough to be careful with my hands or feet or even bother to mention the upcharge. The only good thing about this experience was that he scraped my feet really well to remove a lot of callus and my toe polish is nice. Otherwise, I would have gave them a one star. I could have done this service better myself and saved myself $45. read more
