Searched different solar places and landed on these folks, who had the best combination of value, quality, and service. Their communication has been great, and the install went very well. Took a couple months from start to final install. Each team was friendly, professional, and efficient. The only holdup has been AEP, who seem to take their time. So plan for delays for permits, meter install, etc. But all in all it's a nice product and should help us become more independent from the grid. read more

HIGH PRESSURE! My wife and I requested a quote from Solar is Freedom, and set up a Zoom meeting to review it with them. Before the Zoom meeting, we learned that our electric co-op does not pay penny-for-penny as we were led by another solar company to believe. Since we would only be getting paid 7 cents per kilowatt hour (and paying our electric company 15 cents per kilowatt hour), we determined that solar did not make sense for us right now. My wife sent a message to the salesperson telling him we were no longer interested (as well as why) and said we would be cancelling the Zoom meeting the next day. The salesperson responded by asking us "to please keep the meeting time" so we could see what they had to offer. She responded again that we were no longer interested. The salesperson messaged again stating: "I have taken a lot of time out of our engineers schedule to get everything put together, and it looks really bad on me when I take that time out, and we do not have a chance to present the proposal." My wife did not respond to that message. Over the next several days, I received five phone calls and several text messages from them. Solar is Freedom is terrible. We signed a contract and placed a deposit in Aug 2022 and since then communication is non-existent. They don't email or call back and at this point I don't think they are even a legitimate company. Stay away from Solar Is Freedom. read more

They put a lean on my house. Even though They take the payment out my account. I was not told by the salesman

My panels were installed 2 months ago and are yet to be functional after 2 failed city inspections, fingers crossed for the 3rd!. The company is telling me it is just because my city is picky, I'm glad they are. I wish Solar is Freedom were more picky! I also have an issue where the installers missed the trusses in multiple places in my roof. I realize that is a possibility but we had to find them on our own. No one from Solar is Freedom checked their work nor took pride in it. I wish I could say I know when these things will be fixed but people from Solar is Freedom are not good communicating or replying to texts and emails. Wish me luck for a 3rd inspection, sometime. read more

Jaylon Jones did a Zoom meeting and presented their pitch! It was the 3rd such offer we had listened to. We were impressed with his professional and courteous demenor. His knowledge of the industry and thier offering is excellent. Thier pricing per KW is competitive and thier install crew is top notch! We have just connected to the on line monitoring to keep track of production. Our 24 panel system is running at 5KW nominal. It was a bit scary dealing with a company virtually and out of state, we're in Indiana and they are in Ohio, but all has gone well thus far. Their finance rate is great as well. read more

I had a system installed by SIF and they are very unprofessional. The technician never registered our system's serial numbers so I can not see the system producing on the App. I never received directions on how to turn the system on once the project was completed. The company switched project managers without reaching out and informing me. Edward Nunez walked my wife through the process of turning the system on a week ago and then stated the system was operational from what he can see in their system. Approximately a week later he tells me we need to ensure the system is truly operational. All this while I am making solar payments and still paying electric bills, when I was told I don't pay until the project is complete. Now I am coming up on payment #2 and still no solar production. It's a ground unit and my yard is still trashed. If you are going to go with Solar Is Freedom, I strongly advise you to look to another company. read more
