The edges are not straight at all, and the corner is too rounded.

UPDATE 4/5/17 So Brandon reached out to me and ended up retinting my front windows again. All I can say is wow. The quality of the tint job this time around is absolutely stellar. The film itself doesn't match the stuff I bought the car with, but it's a small price to pay and honestly I'm not sure anyone could match my original stuff at this point. The cuts are perfect and there is nothing between the glass and the film as far as debris goes! Original Review: I can no longer recommend this company for tinting windows, unfortunately. A little less than 2 years ago I had my front door windows tinted. In our current day and age, I expect window tint to last for a fairly decent amount of time. In fact, most films last about 5 years with high quality films lasting 10+ years. With this film, however, all of the window faded except for the top most bit, which was covered by a rain guard on the doors. This was very noticeable whenever you rolled down the window, as you could see the darkness up top slowly gradient into the rest of the door. Now the tint alone isn't what makes Solar Film Designs lackluster, but the experience with them. I called up Brandon and explained to him that my windows were fading except for the top and that it was very unpleasant looking. Tint should last many years nowadays. He said he was aware of the problem as others had mentioned it as well, and he stopped used the film shortly after I had my windows tinted. He says he can't warranty the tint with the company, but that he would come and re-tint my windows with a different film. It's worth noting that this "different film" is a ceramic film that he stated was high quality. I'm not knocking him for providing me with a better film, but this ceramic film is brown in hue where as every other window in my car has a blue hue film. This is extremely noticeable from the inside, and a little bit from the outside. It gives the impression of lighter windows in the back and when you shoulder check it's a bit odd. I think it would have been a nice thing to mention before installing, because now that it's done, I wish I didn't have this fancy ceramic film that looks different than all my other windows. I set an appointment up with him and it takes him maybe 30 minutes or so to do the windows. Everything looked good on the spot at the time, but as I drove around in the sun that day, I noticed just how poor the job was. We are talking about the same person who tinted my windows both times, so doing a poor job on the second time really has me perplexed. I'd like to start off the problem list stating that both these windows have a weird visual distortion to them that's noticeable when you are moving your head. They appear as black/dark wide lines that run vertical. My best guess is they are where the squeegee was used, but I am unsure. It's very distracting and overall just bad looking. So, for the driver window, the bottom front corner of the window has the rounded edge as you'd expect, but it was a cut short enough to let light through. Naturally, Brandon ended up covering over this corner with some sort of paint marker. It looks like someone took a sharpie and dotted the corner enough to make it black. I expected much better. Onto the passenger window, the quality really lacks. Same issue with the corner, except no marker. Right next to this same corner, both edges of the tint are not straight. This also has me confused, as tint technicians usually take a razer to the bottom edge of the window which leaves it perfect and crisp. I'm not sure what happened here. In addition to these skewed edges that let light bleed through, there's an air bubble on the bottom of the door. This can be seen from the outside and well and it's extremely annoying. I did find a hair sandwiched between the film and the window as well and that was really just the cherry on top. I called Brandon again mentioning these issues hoping we could work something out. He advised me that this whole thing was a favor he was doing me and that I was being picky. That's right, my windows fading after ~21 months and him re-doing them with a different film was a favor. Even though the original film had this problem and he stopped using it because of it, it's a favor to me to stand behind his company and provide a decent tint job. I was told I am being picky, because I have a problem seeing lots of poor quality edges as I drive my vehicle every day. These are my front windows that I spend a good amount looking through. I expect the tint job to be at least as good as the previous job he did, but was/am now left with a mediocre tint job and tons of imperfections I get to make friends with as I drive my vehicle every single day. As I said, I cannot recommend this company anymore, simply because of the experience I had. My car is very important to me and having to look at a lazy tint job every single day has me annoyed.

Recommended from Safelite to replace the strip on my windshield. I called on Friday and they were here on Monday. Took about 30 mins. Super quick. Clean job. Nice guy, very friendly. Didn't catch his name unfortunately. Would recommend for future use.

Brandon removed and applied tint to my driver and passenger side windows and it looks great. I would not hesitate to call him again.

Brandon and his crew did a great job on my Jeep Wrangler even though it was a long and backed up day for them.

I had the property manager of my work building call him to pay for the service, then Scott got me scheduled on a weekend, picked up my car first thing in the morning, drove it to his shop for the job, and drove it back when he was done. He was very communicative and honest, quick to respond to my texts, and knows his stuff. When he brought my car back looking almost brand new, I fell in love with her all over again. Scott walked me through everything he did, recommended how to keep it looking nice, also pointed out how the paint on the hood is beginning to suffer some micro cracks from this awful heat and what to do about it. He also noted an oily residue on the engine that he couldn't completely get rid of and advised I might want to ask a mechanic about it just in case. Scott does good work, he's easy to talk to, punctual, and knows what he's doing. For the work he did and in this kind of heat, I'd say it would be worth every penny even if I'd been spending it myself. I'm going to want to have this done again next year, I know that for sure. I brought my 2026 Tesla Model 3 here for some tint and things did not go as planned but Josh was super friendly and did everything he could to make the situation right. Below I describe my experience, which involves fully tinting every piece of glass on my Tesla, which is the most difficult vehicle model to tint. I wouldn't pass on Copperstate Motor Club solely based on the below review. The first go-around with the tint didn't turn out as expected. I had opted to tint my Tesla's six side windows, back window, sunroof, and windshield in the MaxPro MaxIR, which is their top of the line film. I wanted maximum heat and UV protection from the harsh Arizona sun, even though I was having the tint done in January. Josh was super friendly and communicative during the process and my tint job took all day. When I went to pick up the car there was a good amount of soap running down the sides of the car but Josh had free QR codes for the car wash near his shop. Even though the QR code didn't work for me, I was able to spray. the car down with some spot free rinse water to get the soap off. Fast forward to a few days later and I noticed some large bubbles on the driver side door and windshield not going away and then I noticed in other areas around the car, there were some dust particles and hair trapped in between the tint and the glass. I also noticed some hardcore streaking on one of the windows and some tint on the sunroof that didn't look like it was cut correctly as the tint didn't cover the sunroof fully. Josh re-tinted my side windows, which look good. He attempted to redo the windshield but when he put the film up, there was a nick in it so it was removed. He also wasn't able to redo the sunroof or the back glass, stating that he couldn't do any better than what was on there already. He was kind enough to issue me a full refund and also give me some additional car wash codes, and money toward my Uber ride. I thought that was VERY kind and excellent customer service. I appreciated his strong business acumen. He attempted to make the situation right and I really really appreciate that. I had since taken my car to Gilbert Tint Works for them to redo the windshield, the sunroof, and the back glass, which look good so far...the car is still curing so I'll know in a couple of days. One thing that Gilbert Tint Works pointed out was that the film that Copperstate Motor Club put on the sunroof had a weird blue hue to it. I also noticed that the windshield film, when it was on there, had a blue hue as well. We suspect that perhaps too much soapy solution was used. Copperstate Motor Club is a newer company and it appears they're still ironing out some kinks. Hopefully in the future they'll be great because the owner, Josh, definitely has the right business mindset.
