The apartments are comfortable and quiet with nice neighbors and a great rec center (with a lounge that's extremely well decorated). But mostly this review is to shout out Carlos from maintenance. Carlos is a God send. There isn't a problem that he can't fix. And I have a one year old so things can get broken often and easily. His work is incredible! When Carlos fixes something, it's fixed for good. We've never had the same issue twice. And he's such a joy to have over. Always with a smile on his face and so much kindness in his heart. We started requesting him personally! I always see him around the apartments too so you know he works hard! Carlos, my man, you making living at Solamonte smooth and stress free. Thank you for everything you do! We're lucky to have you!! read more

I have been here at solamonte for going on 3 years. And I truly love it here. But I have to say one of the things I like most is the maintenance people! Specifically Carlos! I have three kids and something is always happening and every single time Carlos comes to fix something he is always making sure the rest of my apartment is okay! Goes out of his way every single time! He is truly one of a kind and I know I can always count on him and most of all TRUST him! He is definitely someone who takes care is his residents! So grateful and thankful for him! read more

PROS: Ashia, Adam and Carlos are the best. Always warm and friendly. Package concierge, Grounds are always clean. Location is great. Great Gym. CONS: Barbara (leasing office) and my neighbor. My upstairs neighbor is always loud and Barbara basically told me to suck it up becase the lady is old. She also told me to try and leave my apartment from time to time so I dont hear it! IShe is just rude and I dont see how she still works there. Other CONS: One Pool for a large complex, in the summer its full to the max with kids, not fun. I think there should be a kids pool. The amenities often go unoticed when broken. Sometimes there is no communication when things change. Example new Security and was not given the contact info. There are TVs in BBQ area and outdoor theater but dont know how they work. Parking is also an issue, there is a lot of it but I notice people park their work vehicles here and other vehicles are left here. No one really checks to see if these cars have been sitting for weeks. Overall I enjoy living here. Hopefully I dont get ripped when I move out. If I do I'll update my review. read more

Don't be fooled by the 4 stars. Those were based off the old management company (holland) carlos no longer works here :( . Solamonte is now run by Western national which has terrible ratings. They fired everyone single employee from the old company with no remorse. They have no idea what they're doing. Please stay away from these apartments. They make look nice but everything is cheap and falls apart. If you want things fixed, you'll have to wait weeks or months. Roaches, huge rats, thieves, no parking, cigarette smokers, and mail getting stolen is what you have to look forward to here. And last but not least, you'll have to deal with the SNAKES in the office. Thomas, Leo, and saving the best (worst) for last STEPHANIE SHEWMAKER. She likes to hide when things get tough. They all need to be fired. They are HUGE liars and the biggest bullies. They'll make you regret renting here. Do yourself and your family a favor and find a better/safer place to live. I promise you, this ain't it. Good luck. read more

So we moved here a couple of years ago and it was great would give it 4 stars. I wouldn't give it 5 starts cause I really hate the garage it's incredibly small I have a Corolla and it barely fits it and you can barely get out without your car door hitting the wall so if you chose to come here don't get the garage also the garage door opener is the same control for the door so you have to carry this bulky remote where you can easily accidentally open the garage door. Been here for 2 years now and the rent has absolutely shot up way above inflation too at first it was $145 but now the rent went up $200!!! If that's not good luck trying to get ahold of the leasing office because it takes me a very minimum of 3 times calling to get a hold of them and that's if I'm lucky. The area around isn't even worth the jump in price there has been a significant increase of homeless people now. Also no elevator for the higher floors so if you buy anything big good luck. At the time of writing the rent for the one bedroom is $2200 not worth it at all. There has been a significant amount of people moving out and there is a reason for that. read more

CARLOS BELTRAN the maintenance technician! I just moved here a few weeks ago so this was my first experience with putting in a work order and having some maintenance done around my apartment. Carlos was absolutely amazing and so attentive! He got here and instantly started taking care of a few issues I had meanwhile explaining what the problem was and how he is fixing it. When he was done he made sure I knew how to work what he fixed. He was extremely friendly and so down to earth. I couldn't of asked for a better a first time maintenance experience. There are two people that I owe so many thanks to. 1) Aisha W., one of the leasing agents is such a sweetheart!! Her wonderful, professional, and warm demeanor really helped me transition beautifully into this complex around five months ago. I was going through a difficult period in my life and she was able to assist by making the application process so smooth, and in helping me find the perfect apartment and feel right at home! Thanks so much, Aisha!!! I also appreciate the entire leasing/management team for always going out of there way to make Solamonte a nice place to live. 2)Carlos is a maintenance angel!!! He has a warm and loving personality and always completes my maintenance requests with a smile and an encouraging word for the day. I've been living in this apartment for almost a year now and absolutely love it. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Although they have so many residence here, they still somehow manage to know my name and always ask how I'm doing every time they see me. Carlos the maintenance guy is the sweetest person ever. The very first time I had a maintenance request he welcomed me and my family to the apartment and since then has always greeted us and comes in with a smile on his face whenever you ask for help. Don't trip the maintenance request we're nothing major. I've made maybe 3-4 request (for minor things I probably could've done myself) and each time they've responded to the request within 24 hours and my issue was resolved within 10 mins or less. Love living here and we've even referred friends to move into this apartment complex. You can't go wrong living here. We will definitely be renewing our lease! read more

Solamonte apts are very nice and the amenities are great. Unfortunately I have not been able to use a lot due to Covid. The worse part about the apt is that I have to work from home and living on the 1st floor has not made that easy. I have neighbors above me that constantly run, jump and stump on my ceiling. The noise is extremely excessive and I have made aprox 8 complaints and I've only been here 3 months, 9 to go,and nothing has happened. At this point management does not even respond to my complaints. I've asked to be relocated to a different unit or released from my lease. Unfortunately I've heard nothing from management. If you are thinking of moving here and you're looking at a bottom unit be sure to ask plenty of questions and read your lease. Management is not very responsive to dealing with tenant issues. It's a very unhealthy situation and not conducive to working from home requirements due to our current COVID situation. 08/19/2020 Thank you for the response Solamonte. It's too bad that I had to post a comment on yelp for you to respond to the multiple emails that I have sent that have gone unanswered or where there has been no follow thru. I live on the 1st floor for a reason and a 3rd floor apt is not an option for me. So does that mean I have to deal with tenants that do not respect those around them? As the noise is around the clock. Even during your so called quiet hours. I lived in a different unit in this complex a year ago and didnt have to deal with this amount of noise. read more

This is for the maintenance guy Carlos! He was so kind & professional, fixed my washing machine really fast! Thank you Carlos your the best

MR. CARLOS (maintenance) is INCREDIBLE! Okay, no matter where you live there will be hiccups from time to time. My hiccup happened to be a broken sensor in my washing machine, which resulted in my apartment partially flooding. This could have happened anywhere, including if I were a home owner, so the incident itself is not the topic of discussion here. There was very minor damage (two books for school/work and a knock-off Roomba), which the apartment complex agreed to work with me to replace (will keep you posted on how that goes). For now, good job Solamonte for doing the right thing! Now for the praise of Mr. Carlos! When my washing machine flooded my living room, kitchen, and dining room, Mr. Carlos came to my house after hours and worked diligently to soak up all the water and was on his hands and knees (literally) for HOURS to make sure that my apartment was left in a livable condition. He left after midnight and kept good spirits the whole time. Such a pleasant man! His mantra is always "Don't worry, be happy!" and because he stays calm it helps me to remain at ease. He even checked in several times over the week as the situation was being rectified. This man deserves an award of some sort! He really came through on this one! read more

We moved into this complex in April 2016, when it was still AMLI. The apartments are nice, and we've never had any problems with bugs, our appliances, neighbors, or crime. The office and maintenance staff have always been nice and accommodating when we go into the office, but it's almost literally impossible to get through to them on the phones. We recently relocated to AZ and also had a very difficult time getting the office staff to return communication efforts with our new complex. It took over a month and multiple calls and emails from both our new complex and myself to get Solamonte to confirm that we were even residents, and they still haven't sent the requested copy of our ledger. We had to have our roommate in CA go in to the office and demand a physical copy so that we could submit it ourselves. There have been several mistakes with our ledger, including 3 late fees being charged when we were not late, which had to be addressed more than once each before they were corrected. Because of these errors, we were issued multiple 3 day pay-or-quit notices, despite turning our rent checks in on time every month. If you're someone who schedules bill payments based on paydays, like we do, be prepared to rearrange your bills monthly if you live at Solamonte! Our rent check is always turned in by the 4th, but never cashed before the 10th. One month it took them THREE WEEKS to cash our rent check because their "check scanner was down", which they failed to notify anyone of. Overall, the location of this complex was great for us, because of its proximity to stores, restaurants, and freeways. Both apartments we lived in were nice, and pretty well-maintained when we moved into them. Parking typically wasn't too much of an issue, even with the 4 vehicles we (and our roommate) own. As long as you don't mind taking the time to go into the office, sometimes multiple times, for any issue or concern you have, the office staff is usually very nice. If you're looking for a place to live where you can count on your rent check going through in a timely manner every month, or an office staff that stays well organized, on top of paperwork, and actually answers their phones, this complex is not for you. read more

It is imperative, that I take a moment to write this review commending Carlos. Carlos has made our time here at Solamonte such a joyful experience. His personality, professional and uplifting spirit has given my family and I so much joy in calling Solamonte our home. Regardless of the circumstances going on, Carlos ALWAYS has such an outgoing energy. I don't really have a lot of experience with this complex since when I got married my husband had already been living here. BUT, every maintenance call we've had to do, Carlos has been the one to respond. & when I tell you.. Carlos has fixed EVERY issue, big or small. He comes very quickly, doesn't leave you waiting around all day & while he's there he brings a sense of joy & respect with him. When he changed the filter on our fridge he actually washed his hands before touching our fridge, when he changed the thing inside the toilet he brought a shop vac & vacuumed out the water so he wouldn't drip toilet water on our floor. He used Clorox wipes to wipe up dust from the wall when he changed the blinds & made sure to put absolutely everything he needed to move back in its place. Carlos has AMAZING customer service, he's always smiling & doesn't make having someone come into your home to fix it feel awkward. Carlos enjoys his job & as a result he goes above & beyond to the residents that live in this building. As I said before, I'm not familiar with the office staff, but if they're anything like Carlos, this complex is a dream to live in!! read more

DO NOT RENT FROM SOLAMONTE! I only went through an application process and am so glad I did not sign a lease. They will force upon you a $600 deposit, which is suppose to be refundable, but it's not! They have created an incredible scam where you will not be able to get your refund back. So what happened? I applied for an apartment in which I was told it was "first come first serve", so whoever got their application in first and gets approved would get the apartment. After submitting the application, I was told they still needed a copy of my driver's license and needed me to call them back because my husband's bank statements were part of a business/corporation (that we own) and could not process the application with his income. I didn't call them back and thought renting a house would be better for us, so I didn't even know they approved my application! Wow! They approved it without me responding to them or sending in the drivers license. I was given a "Welcome to Solamonte" letter and lease agreement via email and received a phone call late in the day saying I was approved. Their office closes at 6 pm and emailed them the very next day that I was probably cancelling the application (I didn't even know they still processed it with missing information) . I never heard from the representative I was talking to after emailing her about the cancellation. I tried calling the next day, but no one was answering the office phone. I received a call a few days later asking about the cancellation and was "reminded" that if I cancel at this point they would not refund my deposit. What??? Keep in mind that I never signed a lease, never confirmed I even wanted to rent it, and I never even saw the apartment! Their application contract states that I had a 72 hour cancellation period from the time I'm accepted and the apartment is "taken off the market". Why would they take it off the market if I never signed a lease or agreed with accepting the apartment? What a scam. In fact when my husband contacted a supervisor, she said it was taken off the market on 6-11-21 and I was notified of the acceptance on 6-14-21. So, basically by the time they notify you, your deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE! Both office representative and supervisor refused to refund this deposit and they were not open for discussion about their process. If they want to truly be that strict on a deposit, then they needed to make their cancellation period very clear because how it's read in the application is open for interpretation! I thought I was going to be able to see the apartment on the move-in day and had 72 hours from that time. What if it was unacceptable? I can't cancel? That's ridiculous. I never thought my deposit was even an issue unless a lease is signed as well. I am a real estate agent and owner in Rancho Cucamonga and am appalled at their business practice. I'm warning everyone out there... DO NOT RENT FROM SOLAMONTE!!! read more

Now that the mailboxes have been replaced and reinforced, I have no complaints about these apartments. They have a food truck every (sometimes every OTHER) Thursday night! The units are amazingly priced, when compared to other apartments in the area. But most of all, the focal point of my 4-star review, the staff! Even when they are completely outnumbered, the staff stays level headed, and makes it a point to serve the residents in the order they appeared in. They are always as helpful as possible and often go far above and beyond what their jobs require them to do. And there's also the maintenance people as well. I usually have the same guy whenever I put in a maintenance request, a man with glasses and a mustache. He's always in a great mood, and makes it much more than just a maintenance visit. Thanks to him and the rest of the staff here at Solamonte, in just the 3 months I've lived here, I already feel like a part of their big family. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's damn near impossible to reach any staff members through telephone. They've since advised me to send emails instead, which has worked nicely for communication, but that was a headache of 2 months not being able to properly communicate with them. read more
