I haved lived here for more than five years and seen many managers come and go. The current one is terrible. These do not feel like luxury apartments now. They do not follow the lease limitations on types of dogs that are allowed here and there are some that I feel are dangerous. The grounds and common spaces are not maintained and down right gross. The pool is still not open and security of it is atrocious with half the people swimming here aren't residents. wish it was the wonderful place to live that it was a few years ago. read more

This is the perfect place for you if you: - Are looking for a place with chewed up/scratched cabinets (When I moved in, the people before me had a puppy that chewed up the bottom of my bathroom cabinets & scratched the bathroom door. I had to ask management three times to come and fix it for me. When they finally did, they just painted over it so there still chewed up but with a different color over them) - Don't like your peace & quiet (The walls are really thin so you can hear everything your neighbor is doing. That includes baby screaming all night, kids yelling, washers and dryer's going, people having sex, dogs whining, and phone vibrating.) - Enjoy having a hard time to find parking spots (if you get home any later than five or 6 PM, you might as will just plan not parking anywhere near your apartment building. Especially if you live in apartments B, C, or D. - Don't need a reliable business center. (I am not exaggerating when I say in the whole year I lived here, the printers were never once working. Whenever I needed something printed or copied, I would have to ask the ladies in the front to do it for me. The business center is also only open during normal business hours of the office so getting in on a Sunday or after hours is not doable.) - Love hearing dogs bark at all hours. (I don't know if it's just people in Brighton or people in this apartment complex but they love to let their dogs bark all day and all night in their apartments. Even when they're walking their dogs outside, they let their dogs make as much noise as they want.) - Don't need a reliable maintenance team. (Sometimes, they are good about getting tasks done by others, it's a disaster. I had ice that tasted and smelled awful and when I asked maintenance if he could fix it, he told me I just needed to take the ice out of the freezer and put it back. I did so nothing changed. I was also supposed to have maintenance do a final walk-through with me when I moved out. I scheduled it almost 2 weeks in advance. They were going to call me the day of and let me know what time they could come by, which I was fine with. I waited till 4 o'clock and never heard a thing. When I called the front office, I was told that they apparently tried to call me multiple times and then just gave up because they had the wrong number on file. Funny because they never had any issues calling the right phone number the entire year I lived there...) - Don't plan on using the pool often (The pool shuts down pretty frequently because there is either too much urine in the pool, or there's glass found in the pool area. The residents in this apartment complex don't really know how to follow the rules and therefore we all had to suffer the consequences for it. The hot tub jets also don't work. They were off & on the whole year I lived there. I also wouldn't recommend getting a pool view. You can hear kids screaming with all the window shut, over music playing, and on the furthest back corner of your apartment. People are also always in the pool past hours during parties and making a lot of noise. People also act very entitled to the cabana they get to use. It's hilarious! read more

Expensive, cheaply made units, very cheap appliances, dog poop everywhere in the complex, loud neighbors which throw glass on the sidewalks, and to top it all off blindsided me with a bill that was an entire months rent worth for the carpet they already had me pay to clean. Outrageous! Don't waste your time or money here there are SO many other apartment complexes as well as entire houses you can rent for the same amount they charge per month. read more

I've lived at Solaire for almost 3 years and couldn't be happier. The office staff has always been welcoming, friendly and eager to help when I've fallen on hard times. They can only do so much which I understand, but they have always tried their best. Maintenance is quick for the most part and the groundskeeper is always going out of his way for residents. I would recommend this place to anyone who asks. read more

Absolutely horrendous service!!!! My wife had to move due to our landlord selling our rental home while I was deployed. With short notice and needing to move quickly we ended up here at Solaire (it's close to work and that's the only positive thing about it). I honestly would have prefered to live out of my car, you'll save tons of money and not deal with the front office people. The neighbors are loud and obnoxious. Constantly smoking weed off their balcony so good luck enjoying any fresh air with that nice skunky smell constantly floating around. The prices are ridiculous for the quality of the apartment. The maintenance is taped together. Buy a pack of bubblegum and you'll do better quality work. The bathroom ceiling fan fell down because it was windy.... I'm actually upset I can't give negative stars! Good luck if you ever have car troubles, my daliy driver went in for maintenance and I parked the loner car in my usual spot (I'm on call and need to leave quickly) they towed within 24hrs because it didn't have a parking pass on it!!! The front office was closed on Sunday and I wasn't even an opportunity to get one!!!! I've called the front office 10 times and nobody answers. The response from the tow truck company was to park on the street. That's honestly like a 10min walk. I don't have that luxury when dealing with response times. The bill for towing was over $200.00 it's a complete and total gambit. I'll be leaving this complex ASAP. Do yourself a major favor and keep looking. -5 Stars out of 10 read more

Worst place ever to live!!!Pest control problem ants and little flies... I left my stove in self-clean , smoke started to come out, the fire alarms didn't go off!!! I was asleep thank goodness my husband was awake because I would have probably been dead!!!! I called them to tell them, instead of asking are you ok or anything, you want maintenance to fix it?? Like seriously??!! Oh no never again and I don't recommend no one to live here... It's really expensive, and things aren't done unless you call and complain... In texas they would keep on top of maintenance of alarms and pest control will go monthly without having to call...Just horrible!!! And obviously I'm moving out as soon as my lease is over!!! read more

As a two year resident about to sign a lease for a third I highly recommend Solaire! The community is kept clean, and the units are comfy. The club house and grounds are kept up and the pool is great if you have kids in the summer time. The best part of the community is the management . They so do such a great job making things easy for me. Easy to get ahold of and always prompt to address any needs. read more

Moved to Brighton from Indianapolis, Indiana in summer of 2019 for a job. Came and walked through the place thought it was very nice. I signed the lease and had to wait on the credit check. I was told that I was unable to sign on the apartment but they never told me why. They told me that their results were from a third party and I would have to contact them in order to find out why. My credit is more than good enough to sign a lease for a 1100 a month apt. Their customer service was terrible, they never answered their phones or returned phone calls, didn't offer to help figure out the issue and basically told me to go look elsewhere. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Lots of headaches and people that don't care about their residents. read more

I don't know how else to say this....you pay an awful lot of money for a so called luxury apartment. I would love to have a pet, but the fees are astronomical, however you can tell apartments with kids as their toys and crap are all over the patio, broken blinds etc...are they charged extra?? read more

Ok Let me give you this biggest warning you could possibly give to STAY AWAY from this complex. I saw all the poor reviews, but I have never had issues anywhere I have lived, I have never not gotten all my deposits back, and I have excellent references from all my rentals. For my job I travel all over the country so I have a new apt rental every three months. For years I have been told I was an excellent tenant and they wished everyone cleaned like we did. We had lots of issues at the apt. Management did nothing. A neighbor downstairs played loud music til four am. I reported him many times and was told to call the police by management. I don't bother cops for idiot neighbors. That's why you have management. I never complained about the dogs left on balconys' all day and all weekend alone, barking incessantly. I did complain about the dog poop not being picked up. My daughter and I picked up poop daily in the dog park. Then there is the psycho nut case that lives next to the dog park. Who harrasses you and threatens to kill your dogs. She reported US for not picking up poop. Called my daughter vile names and sent a picture of a pile of poop, my dogs no where near it, and claimed we didn't pick it up. WORSE thing was they charged us 25.00, and threatened us with eviction. That could have been, and probably was, her own poop. Then we come to the move out fees. I patched and painted the apt. We steam cleaned the carpets. It was spotless. I was told by Colleen or Carlene that we needed a receipt of the steam cleaner purchase in order to not be charged. When I challenged that, I was told they had to be professionally done??Why a receipt for my cleaner by one manager and another saying professionally cleaned. Save yourself the headaches of this place. And Nicole the new manager blames everything on the fact that she is new. (She won't be around long) Save your family and yourself some grief and money. We moved here and are not impressed. The walls are super thin. It's not fair that my family and I have no privacy. If our children are loud (which all children sometimes are) everyone in the building hears them, which isn't fair to them!! Appliances take weeks to replace, and we had something break down the first month after we moved in. Our bedrooms have has no overhead light! For the price we're paying to live here, we deserve much better. read more

The reply to my previous review promted me to reiterate my experience in the office at Solaire the day I signed my lease Teresa the lady with the Blond hair serviced me and her customer service skills were sub par at best....like I said previously She had an issue cjanging my move in date and prorate....took over an hour and a half to sign print up and review my lease....when I asked about paying in office with a money order she kept saying they prefer u do it online.....Its too much paper work....After waiting an hour and a half I asked if it would take much longer because I had an appointment she rolled her eyes and said Id better cancel...After waiting almost 2 hours to get the lease....my key was not ready and I had to wait anotber 30min for maintenance to get the key.... Chip has been the most awesome attentive agent from the moment I called....and because the unit he selected well suited my needs I choose to stay......He is an example of how you want all your employees to be..... read more

I do NOT recommend moving here, big mistake. Management is very bad and money hungry. They are always changing their policies that so they make more money and screw over all their residents. I have seen many dead animals and birds around the property for months without being touched including in the spa. There are many kids so this is very health hazardous. Also apartments are poorly turned over appliances all beat and scrached up. New management might help. read more

Total trash. This place will rob you of your money and smile while doing so. The residents are loud and obnoxious. Their children run around unsupervised from sun up to sun down. They play music from their cars very loudly, bass cranked up. You live in the middle of a corn field where everything is dirty and filthy all the time. Many components of my apartment were broken and went unfixed. This was the worst apartment I've ever lived in. It's way overpriced and after I moved out they made up a bunch of stuff to sue me for $7,000. I've never experienced anything like this, I've had zero issues with moving apartments in 10 years and 10+ moves. This is a disgrace of a company. Do yourself a favor and live elsewhere! read more

I've lived here for a while and can't wait to get out in a few months. The grounds are disgusting as people usually don't pick up after their pets. I don't understand why they charge you to DNA test your pet for this reason because they obviously don't enforce it. Maybe it's easy money for them. Don't walk in rocks or grass because you will step in it. Pet waste is also frequently on the sidewalks and even in the driveways. We also have someone that allows their dog to urinate on the concrete around the stairs and then leaves it to stain. Trying to get the office to power wash it. I also have to sweep this area about every 10 days otherwise the garbage and leaves blow into my apartment when I open my door. The noise form other apartments is ridiculous. You know when your neighbor is using bathroom since you can hear their toilet flushing. Parking is horrendous. They need to buy more ground and add some more. Although I am sure they won't. This is my first apt experience so I'm not sure what others are like but you should go elsewhere read more

We've lived here for over a year. 1. Are not energy efficient. My elec bill is always over $100 2. Windows are like swiss cheese, Wind comes right through 3. You can smell the neighbors smoke, cigarette and marijuana 4. Water and Sewer charges are through the roof, the utilities are "allocated" so they divide up the utility bill by the number of occupied apts. Be prepared to pay for utilities you don't use. 5. Parking is a nightmare. Unless you like to walk and don't worry about being broken into. 6. Sound is ridiculous. You can hear everything. 7. Management is ok, they do what they can with what they are given. 8. Pool is nice but the 10pm curfew is not enforced, so if you have to work early, be prepared to hear kids screaming, partying until 11 or 12pm 9. Everyone has a dog. Dog crap and pee all over. All the time. 10. Maintenance is ok. They come in a timely manner and fix what they can. 11. Don't ever be late on the rent, late fees are astronomical and they lock you out of the online account. 12. DirecTV is available but the company you have to deal with is horrid. Satellite is in an awful place on the building so if the wind is bad, you lose reception. 13. The patios have slats for flooring, so if you live under someone you're going to get your stuff soaked or find bottle caps all over. 14. There is no designated visitor parking so if you have social neighbors, you won't be able to park by your building. All in all, if we had known. We'd have not moved here. Financially we'd be better off renting a house or buying a house. The rent is just out right ridiculous then to add in the utilities and the trash fee, garage fee. You're paying the mortgage for a $400k house. I don't recommend these apartments to anyone. read more

I have lived at Solaire for several months, and some of these reviews are completely without merit. I have 2 dogs and was not asked to pay for dog DNA testing, however I have been told by tenants who have been here longer than I have, that the previous owner did require DNA testing. I call BS. It states clearly in the lease, that vehicles which are inoperable, will be towed...vehicles with no tags are inoperable, they cannot legally be on the road, and are subject to being towed. While I salute the service of the woman who was in the Navy, having been in the military DOES NOT exempt you from following rules. I call BS Stupid Expensive? yeah it is a little pricey...but is also one of the few apartment complexes in Brighton that is not low income. There are a lot of apartments in Brighton that are far less money. You chose where you wanted to move to, and how much you were willing to pay. I call BS. The thing is that NO apartment complex is perfect...or if it is, please enlighten me as to where it is located. Solaire is a fine complex..the office staff is friendly and helpful, the guy who walks around picking up after peoples dogs does a great job. My work orders are done quickly (they even change burned out light bulbs). There were a few days this summer that the pool was closed, but my understanding is that it was because someone had broken glass (glass is against the rules) in the pool area, and the manager closed the pool until it was determined that there was no glass IN the pool. This is a very nice apartment complex for those who are willing to follow the basic rules. For those who want to live rule free, you might want to live somewhere else. read more

We lived there for 4 months in the interim durning our relocation -- not awful but not great! $30 fee per month fo have someone collect our trash 4 or 5 nights a week and not paying it was not an option if we took our own trash out.. The rates, the fees, the electric and water bills were a joke and calculated on some allocated formula that never seemed to add up. I couldnt have a 2 bedroom in just my name - so my husband had to be on the lease even though he wasnt living there until 10 weeks after moving in so they broke down all the allocations as it I had two in the household -- but others had 5 or 6 people living there and only two on the lease! We had to pay for dog DNA tests but then when people werent cleaning up their dog's crap they said there were so many piles tested and not on file that they realized how many dogs were there without being registered that they weren't going to waste their time testing anything further -- but then they never refunded the required fees that were imposed to acquire a DNA test that was never needed! When we broke our lease - they re-rented our unit within 7 days but billed us for an outrageous amount as a broken lease penalty - until we threatened legal action and indicated we knew they already had a new lessee signed and already moved into our unit.... then we actually got a refund!!! Funny how the table turned from sending a bill and threatening collections on us! Management is slippery and not so ethical -- we even had packages stolen off our doorstep and even one that they signed for at the office but then couldnt find it when we went to go pick it up. They will short change you always in their favor even when you think it wasn't initially! read more
