AH Construction was on a list of recommended contractors from the structural engineer who assessed…read moreserious termite damage in our crawl space and made very specific recommendations for repair. Oscar responded to my call immediately then quickly came out to give a quote. It was a shocking and distressing situation so we appreciated his quick response time. He is very nice, and instead of trying to upsell with a lot of encapsulation stuff we didn't want or need, he quoted for exactly what the structural engineer said to do and did it right away. I sent the videos he took of his work to the structural engineer, who said it was exactly what he had recommended. Oscar and his crew also fixed something additional before leaving, which was a great help and kindness. The cost of the work was very reasonable, and the work was excellent and done right away. I highly recommend them.

Jose and his partner came out and installed all the flooring. You could tell they want it done right. They didn't rush. They adjusted, measured carefully. The floors look amazing! I hired Greg to renovate a half bath that had a toilet that leaked, damaging the sub floor and…read morehardwoods in the hall. The first red flag was Greg's cartoonish quote for work. Greg is a smooth talker and made it seem like it would all be good. He said payment would be due upon completion although there was no mention of this in the "contract." Turns out "Remove vanity and install custom vanity" means ripping out the large existing vanity, sink, and huge mirror and then popping down the pedestal sink THAT I BOUGHT. Period. Red flag #2: When I asked Greg about the massive drywall damage, he said "Is it in the contract?" The agreement does say he does not cover drywall repair, but this was literally left in a demo state. On Day 2, while the entire floor was ripped up with the crawlspace exposed, Greg asked me for a check. I said I planned to pay him with a credit card and it would take me a few days to move money around to give him the equivalent of cash. Day 3 he walked off the job claiming non-payment. After I calmly explained that I could not be in non-payment because no payment was due, Greg came back the next day like nothing happened... All of the insulations under the half bath was wet so it had to go. Greg did not want anything to do with replacing it. I went out and bought insulation and installed it myself. Either Greg or his plumber, Drew, cracked the first sink basin during install. Luckily Home Depot replaced it with no questions and Drew came back and installed the new one. Drew was actually great. I did all of the leg work for the return, so don't expect Greg to actually stand by his work or take responsibility for mistakes. Greg made it clear he does not do hardwood floor repair and I was fine with that. Turns out, my hardwood flooring guy discovered that there was a strange strip of plywood sub floor installed to fill a gap that was not actually supported. We found out why when he pulled it up. See photos. Don't expect structural repairs to actually connect to other structural members. Don't expect your tile OR subfloor to be level or flat. Don't expect a professional job.

I contacted NHRC and Greg came out the next day for a consultation. He quoted me a price that I thought was very good for the entire bathroom remodel. Greg and his other worker were very efficient and even though we ran into a few issues (old plumbing and uneven walls), Greg was able to troubleshoot the issues and did a fantastic job with this renovation. As you can see from the photos, the bathroom turned out beautifully! I'm very happy with the results. Greg did such a great job. I will be contacting him for future renovations. In June 2019, these folks did some fairly major renovations to my home. The quality of their work was excellent in all respects. They did what they said they would do, and they did it on time and on budget. So why am I writing these comments now, more than a year after the job was completed? Allow me to explain: A few days ago, I noticed a leak in a plumbing fixture that was clearly caused by a manufacturing defect. I called Pat Skelton, the new owner of Williams Home Center, and explained that I needed his help again. After describing the leak situation to him, his reply was immediate: "We'll take care of that," and they did--promptly--and at no cost to me. I fully expected to pay for this repair as Williams Home Center had already done their work more than a year earlier. What a pleasant experience it was for me to realize that there really are folks and companies "out there" who actually do stand behind their work. If you need home repairs or additions to your home, I recommend strongly that you consider Williams Home Center, Goldsboro, where professionalism and high-quality workmanship drive everything they do. Beyond that, they are just nice folks! Doug Burch
