The Bedder Way

Overall, an excellent experience!…read more Before purchasing our bed, I telephoned Bedder Way with questions, and the customer service was great. My call was answered promptly, the person I spoke with was knowledgeable, patient, and cheerful. There was a delay in the bed's arrival, which left us scrambling a bit because we had broken down and gotten rid of our old bed in anticipation of a timely delivery (no room to get the new one in without the old one out). That said, the delivery folks kept us informed about the progress of our delivery. On the day the bed did arrive, the driver was very kind and careful with the handling and placement of the very large (!) box outside because it was too big to deal with inside our tiny home. It was a challenge opening the box and unpacking the bed parts, which was a decidedly Good Thing. All of the pieces were expertly and very solidly packed using wood and solid/strong styrofoam(?) pieces to prevent any scarring or scratching of any of the components. The directions for putting the bed together and installing it were very detailed and useful -- and my oh my, it is so comfortable - much more so than our former bed even though we used our existing mattress. We sleep on it every night, often closing it during the day to give us more room, plus it keeps the bed nice. I am small and 70 yo and can easily handle taking the bed up and down. There are two slight challenges: one is remembering that the legs at the foot of the bed stick out a bit when the bed is open, so it can be tough on your shins if you aren't mindful; the other is changing the bed -- it's a bit difficult (but, of course, doable) to get the fitted sheet on at the top of the mattress because the enclosure does not leave a lot of room to maneuver; and, caution is needed when one lifts the bottom of the mattress to put on the sheets and tuck in the bedding because the bed frame pops up in an effort to close because there is no weight on it at the moment. The only disappointment was the lights, which are add-on purchases, and not built into the bed itself. The "neck" on one of them isn't sufficiently stiff to hold the lamp in position. That said, it was not enough of an issue to bother Bedder Way about it, and we are managing. :-) [Bedder Way saw our review and sent a new lamp!! Another feather in their cap!] All in all, the Bedder Way Murphy bed was the perfect choice for a senior couple who radically downsized and moved into a tiny 1930 build duplex to be near family and within walking distance to all the necessary amenities (stores, medical offices, public transportation, etc.). We are now considering a Bedder Way side cabinet when we are able to manage it. :-)

We are very happy with the murphy bed. It is great quality and we can see that it will last years…read moreto come. Even though we were a bit intimidated after seeing the large boxes, everything fell into place pretty quickly. The set up was no trouble for 3 adults, the online videos and instructions were very helpful and easy to follow. Thank you for manufacturing such a sturdy and attractive piece of furniture. This compliment is coming from a German, and we are certainly "picky" and expect high quality. You delivered!

I am a general contractor based in Carmel, Indiana, with over 22 years in business. I was recently…read morehired as the GC for a major kitchen remodel for one of my clients, which involved stripping the kitchen down to the studs. The client chose Cabinetry Ideas (located in Indianapolis, near her home) for the custom kitchen cabinets because of their proximity and showroom. While I typically partner with my preferred cabinet provider (Anderson Amish Cabinets), I respected her decision for choosing Cabinetry Ideas. In my 22+ years as a contractor, I have never encountered so many errors and issues from a cabinet supplier. The problems were numerous and significant: * two cabinets arrived with incorrect depths: one specified at 18" came in at 24", and one specified at 24" came in at 12". * A critical dimension error on a run that was supposed to be 106.5" -- their drawings incorrectly showed 107.5", which required remaking an entire cabinet and resulted in two filler panels being wrong. This altered the profile and appearance of the corner cooktop area. * On the island, CAD dimension issues compounded problems, affecting a panel and three additional fillers. Throughout the process, Cabinetry Ideas refused to take ownership for their mistakes and continued to blame their cabinet manufacture (Corsi). Resolving the issues was extremely challenging and time-consuming. It required constant coordination to keep the project on track, yet the timeline still had to be extended by three weeks due to these delays. This experience was frustrating for me as the GC, for my trim carpenters--who had to repeatedly explain and work around the errors and most importantly the client. I would not recommend Cabinetry Ideas. If you're considering them for custom cabinetry, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere to avoid similar headaches. I am presenting this post with factual information and I have not deviated from the issues.

I built the foundation for an outdoor countertop and upon installation, the install team noticed that the ground had caused the top to not be level without a noticeable amount of filler. The install team allowed me the weekend to purchase more stone for my foundation and then came back Monday to cut the stone and fix the problem that I had overlooked. They went above and beyond what I have come to expect from companies today and I could not be more grateful!

Kendra denied they did anything wrong even with my video proof. The installer also made a tremendous mess cutting stone on the new deck. They came back out after I reported the mess. The same installer sprayed some water with my garden hose but the mess remained. I ended up cleaning it off. Poor craftsmanship and no pride in their work whatsoever. I gave Performance Stoneworks all summer to fix the scratches. No repairs made, only threats of legal action if the balance wasn't paid. The balance has been paid but I cannot give this company my business in the future. Very disappointing. Jeff, who came out to do the template, refused to take any responsibility or even offer an apology for the inferior performance of the team. A sign of the times with this company. Better companies out there. FYI, 19 of the 22 reviews on Facebook are over 6 years old, sadly they are no longer the same company.
