This is a new restaurant that has only popped up three months ago according to the staff. It's part of the Fairwind's Hotel. The courtyard has been entirely redone in lounge chairs and plants. It's an absolutely gorgeous place to hang out for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a drink. They have a nice range of classic American food and snacks as well as creative cocktails and drinks. We came from LA for our vacation. This place was the last restaurant that we tried in our trip, and I would say that left us with great experience. Our server, Santiago, was a great and welcoming guy. He treated us like friends, was so quick on orders, and made sure everything was great. Horrible, clueless service. Took 55 minutes to get our food, and the whole time we sat waiting with empty drinks. No one checked on us. The food was actually good and fresh, albeit a little cold from sitting most likely. They served us Corona with no lime (who does that?) Seems like they want to be a club/lounge but had to offer food to open, not really a priority. It's no wonder they were on Groupon. Horrible service! I asked for a mojito and it was pure simple syrup. I told them to take it back. We ordered a Stella and then they said they ran out of Stella so we ordered other beers that took them around 30 minutes to bring it to us. They are super under staffed. Only 2 waitress and the hostess just kept bringing people in. Every time we ordered drinks it would take 15 min to find her and another 20-30 min for them to bring it. Charged me for two appetizers when I asked for one calamari and zucchini appetizer. They told me that they "ran out" of zucchini. How does that translate to "I want two separate orders of calamari, Lyne?" Also, it should never take 30 min for you to come back to the table for the check. read more

We stopped in for dinner last night during my friends birthday trip. We weren't that hungry so we ordered the Caesar Salad and the Cuban sampler to share. The portions were more than generous and the food was absolutely delicious. I 100% recommend the Cuban Sampler - the pork bites were extremely tender and had tremendous flavor and the yuca fries were also very delicious. The tostones were a little greasy for me but still tasted fine and had good texture. The Caesar salad came on a huge plate and in my opinion was large enough to feed 3-4 people. Laturo our server was excellent and very personable. He joked around with us and was very accommodating to the requests we made. All the other staff were great to and took pictures of us when we requested. My only complaints are minor: the price of cocktails (essentially $20 each for what is basically a rail drink - but it's a popular restaurant at the beach so I guess that's pretty normal) and the fact that they add 20% tip without mentioning it (it is printed on the menu and I can understand that, but would have been nice to be told upfront just in case). Even with that small amount of criticism, we bth truly enjoyed the experience, the atmosphere and the the food. 11 out of 10. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the beach who wants to get a nice well made meal and I will be visiting again in the future! read more

Very cute outdoor restaurant with great music and ambiance. The waitress was rude and ruined it though. We ordered a bottle of wine and she gave us dirty plastic wine glasses, when I asked for other clean ones, she said they are not dirty and walked away. When I went to ask another server for clean glasses, she came back and said "really" with a huge attitude. Basically ruined the experience here. read more

Zero starts if possible! We sat at 1:30 pm and ordered right away, the table next to us ordered at the same time and left before we received our food. Our server was not attentive at all. I literally had to get a drink at the bar because she didn't ask me if I wanted anything. My friend got their food but they didn't come out with mine. Love this little hidden gem in south beach. Good food, great ambiance, spectacular staff, and the best happy hour I've been to. It's a great place for big groups (our group of 10). Being a local you always try to find good spots that won't break your wallet specially In South beach. Happy hour lasts till 10 pm on many nights which makes it easy to make it there after work. There are signature plates on the menu such as the salad and hummus, but others changed in order to keep things fresh. Being a pasta lover I can't decide which day is better if when they serve Mac n cheese, chicken Alfredo, or this amazing pesto pasta. It's the perfect place to start your night, with drinks, hooka, and good food. The staff was also amazing, the manager Luis made sure our group was settled quickly and service was quick. He kept checking on our table and even ended up with some delicious hot dogs. The one night stand hotdog stand in the hotel was also another positive experience. Hotdog bar sign me up. read more

atmosphere was great. for the prices of the food it was really disappointing what you actually get. it was cold, and my bread was stale. it also took over an hour for the food to come and shortly after, we were told our res slot was up. that's fine for a busy place, but make sure your service reflects the time slot. the waiter had a bit of an attitude and wasn't very communicative which was kind of surprising for such a nice ambiance. the only reason for my 3rd star was because the manager was very nice and accommodating after we made her aware of the situation. good for drinks, but avoid the food. read more

During that time of waiting for our food, the server never came around to check on us. We had to ask another server to get our server. I'm only giving this two stars for the decor. We are from NYC and were staying nearby. We walked by this place on our way to dinner and thought what a lovely place to have a drink for happy hour. Well, the staff was discombobulated and things took forever. After taking our order and waiting about 10 minutes the waitress came back to apologize since they were changing shifts. Then she left and came back again and said they were out of Pina Colada. Fine, we ordered something else. Another wait, and the drinks were terrible. Finally, my boyfriend got up to use the bathroom and was told by a rude bartender that he could not use the bathroom and was asked where he was sitting. Two days later, we decided to give this place another try - again it's a nice atmosphere and we figured maybe it was a bad day the first time. This time we sat at the bar. Nope. Same thing. Took forever to get served, we had to ask several times for waters. Bartender took awhile and then came back and said "I forgot, we are out of pina colada" (still?? This is Miami, ok). Asked what is the "Sombra" - the drink that's has the bars name. She was so confused and couldn't tell me what the drink actually was. Ok, I asked for a Malibu bay breeze and she looked befuddled. I had to tell her how to make it. When it finally came, the pineapple juice was sour. Not even drinkable. Nobody checked on us. We just paid (a hefty $31 for two basic drinks). Needless to say... As an add on to an earlier review regarding our disappointing brunch with poor avocado toast and questionable bloody Mary's, my friend ordered a turkey club with meat inside the texture and look of gelatin. Another friend in our party ordered a Miami Vice cocktail, and buried within it was a green plastic object that resembled the shape of a tampon. The service took much longer than we would have liked, resulting in warm coffees arriving cold. I do not recommend this restaurant for lunch. read more
