I had heard very positive things about Dental Associates so I gave them a call. When I told them how long it had been since I had been to the dentist they didn't gasp, give me any crap, and said "come on in, let's take a look." What a great experience. My teeth aren't in as bad shape as I thought. The dental hygenist (Meaghan) who examined me, took X-rays, did the assessment, explained everything, and then cleaned my teeth was A++++. No pain. No rolling eyes. No shame. No scolding. Just really clean teeth now and a plan to address the few issues I have. I don't have dental insurance and I thought the price was more than fair, and actually a lot less than I thought I'd spend. I would highly recommend Dental Associates to anyone, especially if you, like me, haven't been to a dentist in a long time.

The first dentist there a long time ago was fine but then I had to deal with Dr Lender and that's when it became clear that this wasn't safe anymore. I dealt with Dr Lender for a cavity and to say that he did a poor job is an understatement. Not only was he RUDE, COLD and DRY, he also was INCOMPETENT. I saw how dirty of a job he did when I moved on to a different dentist and my new dentist showed me close up photos. Just as an example, after the filling was done, I told him that my bite was off, he refused to accept my answer and shut me down saying that my perception was off because I was still numb. Sure enough when I came home and the numbness went away, it bothered me. I came back the next day to get it fixed. Another dentist did it but kept praising Dr Lender's excellent job the whole time and made sure to show me how my visit was an inconvenience in her schedule and how much of a favor they were doing me a favor. In other words, POOR communication if none, INCOMPETENCE, rude people (except Elena) and unconfortable place all round. Do yourself a favor and avoid it at all costs.

Dr. Bebrin wanted me to be a happy customer and was able to squeeze me in at the end of the day to discuss options. After having a detailed discussion, I left the office with braces. She never mentioned the picture of it but then the doctor says "what kind of insurance does she have? " I then stated in a clear voice my insurance type and I could hear the doctor say NO she couldn't see me. The receptionist comes back and informs me how swamped they are and says she needs to rebook me. The office has one other person in it but ok. The next available appointment is in THREE months. Now my insurance isn't that great and the doctor was more concerned about that instead of what was wrong with me as I suffer from head and neck pain, nerve problems, raw skin and swelling eyes and mucus membranes and other things as well. I have a very hard time making doctors appointments because of anxiety and am working on finding out why I'm so sick all the time. She has no idea because her only question was about my insurance type. I just had to leave. Im 100% sure I can find a dermatologist in under 3 months. 3months!! I realize I was late and the license thing was embarrassing but I had a picture of it. I would of been happy to reschedule but they have NO TIME for me. Its obvious their priorities are off.
