Their facility is clean, and they have new equipment that makes cleanings painless. I had a few cavities and the procedure was also relatively painless. (Really nervous. Anxiety began weeks before the appointment. Asking the same questions over and over, and to multiple adults.) Once in the chair, they still had a million questions. Dr. Samiei and his staff answered each one patiently.  He allowed my child agency to ease their nerves (counting down to the Novocain shot, deciding on hand signals in case a break was needed, etc.). The appointment took longer than necessary due to all the questions, but never once did they rush. My child left happy and relieved. Can't recommend them enough, especially if you or your child experience anxiety at the dentist.

My tooth was so extremely loose that I could've pulled it on my own I did try to and then I felt one little like tendon that was still attached and it made me nervous not to try to pull it on my own. I was at the appointment for I would say minimum 10 maximum 20 minutes sitting in the chair between one x-ray I think two shots of Novacaine, which I'm sure wasn't even necessary realizing how loose my tooth was as a matter of fact, the hygienist or assistant that was there during suctioning said that he told her to stop because she pretty much almost suction the tooth right out. That's how lose my tooth was anyway when it was determined that my mouth was numb enough not that he even really asked me. He just took it out with his hand in one quick motion and one second literally. I was relieved until I got up to the desk and I was told that A I would have to pay upfront and my insurance would reimburse me but that wasn't the worst part of it. I was told it was $525 for the visit, I was there for maximum between checking in and checking out a total of 30 minutes in their office. I cannot imagine how they can possibly justify charging $525 !!!! Before I left, they did say they would try to submit my claim and see if they could get reimbursed and let me know what my co-pay would be but I still cannot get over the $525 charge As if that was bad enough now mind you this was the first time I've ever been to this office when I got home I would stay within a maximum of 3 to 4 hours after my visit. I get an email from the office asking for a donation because they're doing some kind of back to school purchases they just charged me $525 from being in their office for 30 minutes from start to finish and now they're asking me for more money Also, as I was sitting there, I saw someone coming out of the office, their charges were $295. I saw someone else come out while I was waiting. I think it was $150 for a whitening treatment for their teeth so while I was there in the short time, these are the charges that I heard just in the short time that I was there. Another note, I think their office is set up very uncomfortable in the sense that there's no privacy when you're talking about your bill or your situation or your issues or concerns I would never step foot back in this office. I've been going here for years, and I've referred multiple friends. I would give them my firstborn, but they're probably happiest when I pay my bill on time. The care is top-notch and everybody who works here is gracious, friendly and kind. Chris is a wonderful hygienist, John Tieu is a wonderful dentist, and Joseph O'Reilly is a master at distracting patients with an odd cheek-jiggling motion and/or spicy conversation while he's doing something vile with syringes to your gums. Pondside is why, in my online dating profile, I list my amazing set of chompers as one of my key physical attributes. 9/16/16 Update: In February, Dr. O'Reilly wrote me the sweetest letter, informing me that he was retiring. It made me sad. I didn't know how to respond. What do you give to your retiring dentist, who made you just a pinch less anxious about going to the dentist, a pinch of happiness and jokes when you did, and a pinch less distrustful of any type of doctor at all, and over the course of decades, as you aged, was one of the doctors who made you trust the medical profession in a way you don't when you're a scared diabetic kid who gets jabbed too much?
