I love Lebanese food. I'll be the first to admit it! I was soooo looking forward to this place. We…read morebooked in for 8 people on a Saturday night, banquet menu only on Saturdays which is totally fine with me because I know Lebanese do a good banquet. The whole place was booked out but we were pretty much the first table there. It was a muggy afternoon/night and the aircon was cranking. Nice. However for some reason one of the vents was leaking water and dripping right in the centre of my sister in laws head. My pregnant sister in law.. When we asked to be moved it was like I'd just asked for a million dollars!! Totally understand you guys are booked out so let's shuffle the table 30cm back.. reasonable. No we can't sorry. Wait what? Plenty of room to move back for both tables to get in and out. No sorry can't do that. After a few slightly awkward moments they agreed and it was done. Geez that was difficult. ahem. Now to the food! It was delicious, really authentic proper Lebanese food that was on par with my mums cooking. Bread kept running out though. Bread is cutlery for Lebanese food and every time I had to try super hard to flag down someone. BUT the only food item I didn't like was the dessert baklava. Now I know my Leb sweets and this was horrible. I also know that Lebanese are not stingy with coffee and sweets. These people were. Never have I been to a Lebanese restaurant or any middle eastern place that pours the coffee out on the traditional tiny cups then takes the coffee away.. WhaaAat! That's a massive no no. My grandma would have lost it if she was there! Come on guys I already paid $45pp give me a second cup of coffee 5cm worth. The service and hospitality I am used at middle eastern places was completely missed at this place which is soo disappointing. That's the part I treasure the most. Oh and one more thing. 2 pregnant ladies were also dinning with us and asked for a herbal tea instead of coffee. No. $4 extra. As we were walking out the owner caught us and we informed her of why we were not pleased and she very generously gave us 2 takeaway cups of herbal tea.. Thanks for that! But a little to late.

The food and service were below par. The garlic sauce was amazing a bit sharp but still the best…read more Tabouli and fatoush were inedible as they were toooo sour. Chicken was dry and so was the kafta. The lamb skewers were quite ok but fried cauliflower, sambouski and kibbe had no flavour at all. Also they had a lunch function which had continued past 6 so it was a struggle to get attention of wait staff. Don't think will ever visit again given the choices avilable for lebanese food in Sydney.

Tonight I had the pleasure of eating some of the best Lebanese food I've ever eaten!…read more We ordered the Vegetarian Banquet (made vegan) to share and I missed getting photos of most of it because we got into it so quickly, so here's the one shot I took of the night. My personal favourites were the hummus and tabouli, balila, spinach triangles (with spinach from Eddie's own garden) and the stuffed vine leaves (which I don't usually enjoy but these were so good)! Our host for the evening Eddie (yes, THE Eddie) was humble, attentive, and had such a passion for homestyle cooking. I highly recommend giving Eddie's Vegan Eatery a visit if you live near the St George area of Sydney. From the starters all the way to the baklava and tea at the end, it was a divine experience.

You'll notice that as soon as you arrive you're warmly greeted by Eddy and his staff who are very attentive. All of the food we've eaten is very fresh, the banquet is good value and the platter for 2 for smaller groups also offers a good variety. The a la carte menu offers all of the usual lebanese cuisine, the serving sizes are generous and I think the prices are fair for what they offer. We've been many times and have also gone in large groups and the food has always been consistent. Make sure you finish the meal with some lebanese coffee and a sweet!

The old owners of this place was terrible had no respect for the customers & the food was nothing…read morespecial... then it was taken over by a true entrepreneur (got to listen to his story.. book bio qaulity)!! Ever since he took over the place & made it his own by changing the name & making top qaulity pizzas/kebabs it's been nothing less but perfection :D!! I love all the food at this place & have neverbeen dissapointed & that goes for anyone I've ever taken to eat here & my family & friends that have came over for a big pizza feed :D!! They have medium sized pizzas for about $6.50 - $12.00 which all taste great & fill you up & the selection is big enough for you to have to visit a few times to try all the different ones they have to offer:)!! My 2 all time favourites that i normally grab on the go is the Zaatar pizza for $2.50 which is very popular for breakfast for alot of my Lebanese friends or even as just a great tasting snack:) & the other one is Zaatar special $5.50 which is a healthy kebab you could say with zaatar spread, fresh mint, tomato, cucumber, olives & shallots :D!! He's also started making kebabs which I've never seen any Lebanese bakery do, they are so great tasting that there is no time for photos haha. Pretty sure it was on his mind before but i think the locals pushed him in the right direction after they kept asking if he did kebabs :)!! This place is by far my favorite pizza/kebab joint in the area, definately got my hooked :D!!!
