We were in the middle of moving and wanted to try some pizza from someplace new and came across Sophia's. We ordered to go over the phone and didn't have the greatest experience as the girl kept confusing what we wanted then couldn't apply my coupon over the phone to give me a total. When I got there to pick up my pizza, everything was ready and the service in store was excellent. I immediately ate a piece of cheese pizza, which was really good, very cheesy with a great cheese pull and a nice crust. The Margherita pizza was definitely not what I was hoping for. Way too much sauce and very thin cheese. The sauce was almost more like a paste, not really anyone liked it. The cannoli was OK, but not great. I tried the chocolate and strawberry. The regular pizza seems like the way to go. In willing to try them again, just not the dessert. I don't recall seeing a dining area but the interior is very well lit and clean. 4/5 read more

We ordered a mushroom and cheese pizza Togo by using their online ordering. Ordering was simple and easy to use using their online ordering there is a 3% charge using a card just so you know. The pizza was amazing with the right amount of sauce to toppings and crust. It taste so fresh only thing I can saw is I which there was more mushrooms on top for the extra $3 charge. A tip before you order for the first time is to sign up for their rewards where you can get a free 14" cheese pizza. ( free!) Ordering to pickup was about 15-20 min! We have been wanting to try this pizzeria because it is literally in our neighborhood. We ordered a pizza on a Saturday evening and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We were driving across town and arrived 20 minutes and it was ready in a warming drawer. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom small pizza. It was $20 for a small pizza. This is pricer compared to other pizza places, but it was very high quality ingredients with fresh mushrooms. The pizza crust was chewy and had nice char marks and just a great flavor. Very small Pizza business with some great calzones and wings too. No telephone signal or wifi in the place so i recommend ordering to go. They have two small tables that seat 4 each. We found Sofia's when we first moved to the neighborhood, we tried it out and we love it. The pepperoni rolls are so good. We have also ordered the calzones, which are big and stuffed with tons of toppings (these are our favorite). Our kids love the cheese pizza and ask for it often. We can't wait to try their dessert pizzas. The workers are always friendly and keep us informed when we get there about how long it will take to be ready. Don't order anything from Sofia's if you are staying at the JW Marriott. They said they would call me when they arrived. Instead, they just dropped my order at the front desk with the wrong name and no other information. After waiting 20 minutes in the lobby for my order , I called and they said it was delivered. Then I had to ague with the front desk to get my order since it had ZERO information on it... hard to tell of anything tasted good because it was all room temperature when I finally tracked it down. If you ever had pizza in NYC, you will have the same experience here, but with nicer people. :-) Service is quick especially if you order a slice of what's already made. Ambiance is what you'd expect for a basic pizza joint but they've added some nice murals on the wall. All in all, a great place for quality NY style pizza. read more

The cashier explained their menu because I wanted a pizza not too large for one person and he made me one just right. There are about four to five tables with about four chairs each. The Sofi's Calzone was terrible and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Half of it was soggy and it was so bland and watery. Unfortunately, I was not impressed with my first experience eating the pizza. I ordered a Margherita for delivery and instructed to not ring the bell or knock, and to just leave it at the door. The doorbell rang. It seems petty, but for someone with a sleeping baby, it was enough to get a mention. Overall the pizza was bland. The best part was the crust, to be honest and at least the basil was fresh. The toppings (cheese and tomatoes) would just fall off in huge chunks so it was frustrating to eat. The cheese didn't stretch like melted cheese but it was rubbery. Really a bummer because I am still looking for a go to pizza place, and thought I'd give them a try since the recently opened. Front end is not well trained, poor gal on the register just didn't know what she was doing. However I will say she was nice and polite. The pizza, the sauce which I like sweet was spot on and probably the best part of the pizza. Too much cheese and a bit under cooked made it very floppy and greasy. Got the Sofia's calzone. The cashier told me it would take about 20 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait, delicious! The bread was fluffy not too thick or heavy. The chicken was tender and mix with mushrooms & spinach very nice. The only critique I could have is with the dessert cannoli. Ordered through their website for delivery since it was a rainy evening. The order took over an hour to be delivered and they are less than a mile away. We ordered a single pizza, 2 sandwiches, a pasta, a greek salad, and a tiramisu. Got a call almost 30 minutes after submitting the order to let us know they only had bread for a single sandwich. They offered something else to replace the sandwich. Didn't want anything heavy so got a salad. Options on the salads were limited, wasn't given an option on dressing. In the end got ranch, wife's Greek salad also came with ranch. Only thing that made it Greek is it had a couple of calamata olives. When getting delivered things got turned vertically by delivery guy while getting things out of the bag. Most things were ok, but toppings on pizza migrated to a single side. My son enjoyed the pizza, thought that the crust was good. Wife thought that the tiramisu was way too sweet.
