Just tried their pizza and it was so delicious! They use Italian flour for the crust! Much healthier and the texture was so good!

I got locked out of my car while trying to pick up some alcohol at the place next door and had to wait an hour for roadside assistance (typical) when I stumbled across this gem. It's about $5 a slice for what they already have and the a/c wasn't bad either compared to the 100 degree San Antonio weather. I didn't have high hopes but they popped the biggest slice they had into the oven and it came out like it was made by Gordon Ramsey himself. I got the meat lovers, and as a former vegetarian, I was converted to a meat lover for sure. 10/10 pizza, 8/10 a/c. Sofia's Pizzeria is everything Domino's wishes they could be and what could've been a crappy day turned into a pleasant slice of pizza. Cool spot and sick decor. read more

We were in the middle of moving and wanted to try some pizza from someplace new and came across Sophia's. We ordered to go over the phone and didn't have the greatest experience as the girl kept confusing what we wanted then couldn't apply my coupon over the phone to give me a total. When I got there to pick up my pizza, everything was ready and the service in store was excellent. I immediately ate a piece of cheese pizza, which was really good, very cheesy with a great cheese pull and a nice crust. The Margherita pizza was definitely not what I was hoping for. Way too much sauce and very thin cheese. The sauce was almost more like a paste, not really anyone liked it. The cannoli was OK, but not great. I tried the chocolate and strawberry. The regular pizza seems like the way to go. In willing to try them again, just not the dessert. I don't recall seeing a dining area but the interior is very well lit and clean. 4/5 read more

We ordered a mushroom and cheese pizza Togo by using their online ordering. Ordering was simple and easy to use using their online ordering there is a 3% charge using a card just so you know. The pizza was amazing with the right amount of sauce to toppings and crust. It taste so fresh only thing I can saw is I which there was more mushrooms on top for the extra $3 charge. A tip before you order for the first time is to sign up for their rewards where you can get a free 14" cheese pizza. ( free!) Ordering to pickup was about 15-20 min! The guy working was friendly and inside has a few tables to enjoy your pizza and there is a some cool murals on the walls too to make the place a little more cozy. read more

We have been wanting to try this pizzeria because it is literally in our neighborhood. We ordered a pizza on a Saturday evening and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. We were driving across town and arrived 20 minutes and it was ready in a warming drawer. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom small pizza. It was $20 for a small pizza. This is pricer compared to other pizza places, but it was very high quality ingredients with fresh mushrooms. The pizza crust was chewy and had nice char marks and just a great flavor. The toppings were the right amount of cheese to topping. read more

We've been curious about Sofia's Pizzeria because it is near our subdivision. On Saturday evening, we ordered a small pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Phone service was prompt. Pizza was promised in 20 minutes, and when we arrived it was waiting for us in a warming cabinet. Quality of pizza: above average with excellent crust and fresh mushrooms Value: pricier than most pizzas ($20 with tip for a small pizza) but quality ingredients. read more

Very small Pizza business with some great calzones and wings too. No telephone signal or wifi in the place so i recommend ordering to go. They have two small tables that seat 4 each. If you're looking for a tasty pie and some delicious calzones and wing, Sophia's is your place. Give them a try, ya won't be disappointed. read more

Pizza was good i wont lie, but for the price, pizza was lacking. Wings were weak as hell. Skinny, dry, flavorless, and soggy.

Sofia's pizzas are some of the best! We love the convenience of their location near TPC/JW Marriott/Evans/Bulverde Rd. Food is hot and ready as expected and service is friendly. read more

We found Sofia's when we first moved to the neighborhood, we tried it out and we love it. The pepperoni rolls are so good. We have also ordered the calzones, which are big and stuffed with tons of toppings (these are our favorite). Our kids love the cheese pizza and ask for it often. We can't wait to try their dessert pizzas. The workers are always friendly and keep us informed when we get there about how long it will take to be ready. They do have a rewards program and it is worth it to sign up, free pizza after your first order. read more

So good! Went with my family and even though it's a small location, it's perfect! Nice vibes! Pizza was great! It wasn't that long of a wait and the owner was really nice! read more

If you ever had pizza in NYC, you will have the same experience here, but with nicer people. :-) Service is quick especially if you order a slice of what's already made. Ambiance is what you'd expect for a basic pizza joint but they've added some nice murals on the wall. All in all, a great place for quality NY style pizza. read more

I love their pizza. It's one of the best around. The manager Daniel goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of. He cooks my pizzas whenever I call. He knows exactly how we like them and recognizes me when I call. This place wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for him. read more

Stopped by this place due to driving by and noticed their sign. Went inside and ordered a small cheese/pepperoni pizza and a drink. The cashier explained their menu because I wanted a pizza not too large for one person and he made me one just right. There are about four to five tables with about four chairs each. Meant to take a before and after photo of the pizza but I was so hungry and the pizza looked and smelled so good that I just went to take a bite to eat and didn't realize that I was done with my pizza! In review, it was so good that I was only able to get an after photo of the fate of such tasty and hot pizza! read more

Don't order anything from Sofia's if you are staying at the JW Marriott. They said they would call me when they arrived. Instead, they just dropped my order at the front desk with the wrong name and no other information. After waiting 20 minutes in the lobby for my order , I called and they said it was delivered. Then I had to ague with the front desk to get my order since it had ZERO information on it... hard to tell of anything tasted good because it was all room temperature when I finally tracked it down. And no napkins or utensils included....total incompetence and lack of communication from this restaurant. read more

Wasn't impressed and probably won't order again. Went on a Sunday around 5 and only one person was working. Took forever to get our order placed and for the pizza to be made. The Sofi's Calzone was terrible and I definitely wouldn't recommend it. Half of it was soggy and it was so bland and watery. I had to add a ton of parmesan to make it semi edible, and even then, it was just gross. We also ordered a pepperoni and sausage pizza, and the center was soggy. Again, not much flavor and just nothing to write home about. read more

We ordered take out today for a lazy day at home. I wanted to try a little bit of everything since it was our first Time ordering from here. The cheesy garlic knots didn't seem warm/fresh. I had envisioned them differently when ordering online. There weren't any pictures of them on here. The pizza was good, we got Sofia's pie. My husband and I liked the crust. We also ordered wings with buffalo/ranch mixed. I think next time if we order from here we will eat there so everything is fresh. read more

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with my first experience eating the pizza. I ordered a Margherita for delivery and instructed to not ring the bell or knock, and to just leave it at the door. The doorbell rang. It seems petty, but for someone with a sleeping baby, it was enough to get a mention. Overall the pizza was bland. The best part was the crust, to be honest and at least the basil was fresh. The toppings (cheese and tomatoes) would just fall off in huge chunks so it was frustrating to eat. The cheese didn't stretch like melted cheese but it was rubbery. Really a bummer because I am still looking for a go to pizza place, and thought I'd give them a try since the recently opened. Hope they can do better but it would take a lot for me to eat from here again. read more

Front end is not well trained, poor gal on the register just didn't know what she was doing. However I will say she was nice and polite. The pizza, the sauce which I like sweet was spot on and probably the best part of the pizza. Too much cheese and a bit under cooked made it very floppy and greasy. If they just added less cheese and cooked it to get a bit of a crunch it would greatly improve the pie. read more

I am a pizza snob from New Jersey. I'm tough to please when it comes to pizza. The crust was absolutely perfect with no flop. I ordered two slices of pepperoni and it's as close to the pizza on the boardwalk as you can get. The place was super clean. I won't go anywhere else from now on. read more

Great local pizzeria! Try the pepperoni rolls and chocolate marshmallow pizza. Both excellent!

Got the Sofia's calzone. The cashier told me it would take about 20 minutes. It was definitely worth the wait, delicious! The bread was fluffy not too thick or heavy. The chicken was tender and mix with mushrooms & spinach very nice. The only critique I could have is with the dessert cannoli. Tasty but the filling did not go all the way across the pastry. read more

I know what I expected ordering a margarita pizza but this was not it at all. Where's the basil? It looks like it was made with no care at all. Pretty bland overall. My husband and I have had sofias pizza in the past and loved it however this time it seems they hired a lazy teen who needs to be retrained. Also the pepperoni bites were still raw in the middle. Won't be eating and won't be coming back. #wasteofmoney read more

I have ordered many times from Sofia's on E. Evans and I have always gotten great service and the pizza is fantastic.
