I can't explain how excited I am about purchasing my very first custom couch!! Min the past I would buy furniture from Craigslist etc but the joy of actually customizing your own brand new couch is so exciting!! I just purchased the Tampa sofa with the chaise the other day same exact fabric as the floor model and I am so anxious to get the call that it is ready for delivery. The delivery takes about 6 weeks and I am crossing my fingers that it comes earlier. The couch is so comfortable I fell in love at first sight! Sofas 4 Less is the best. And not to mention Mel, Mel is an amazing man great service and a great company. In the past I have passed through this location just to window shop and never went back for some reason but I did and I met Mel on my first return visit. I am so glad I gave them another shot the couch that I picked out is perfect. After meeting Mel and seeing the Tampa Sofa I searched around and around for about a month trying to find some thing similar and just as comfortable. No NO LUCK!! The Tampa sofa was the one and nothing could compete. I felt at home sitting on that sofa in the store love love love it!! I have recommended sofas 4 less to all of my friends and family. Best place to buy your couch. i ordered a mico fiber with a chase 109 in and they sent us a 97in instead, we did not find it out till we got home and my wife and i felt it was a little short. so i called mel, very nice he said no problem that he would reorder a new couch and for us to use this for now. when the right one came in they brought it too our house and unloaded it. it was very nice. read more

I shopped around for a good quality sofa, that was not over priced, for a few weeks. Most salesman at furniture stores act like they are slimy used car salesman and make me very uncomfortable. I went to Sofas for Less and found their product to be excellent but also their customer service and prices. They were very helpful and knew what they were talking about. I can not say enough about this store. Mel & his son are wonderful. I started going to the store on a referral from a friend. Since that time I have purchased a sofa, love seat, two bedroom sets and a dining room set. The prices are fantastic. When I was in the market for new living room furniture Mel even allowed me to "borrow" anything from the show room until my furniture arrived. Who does that?! Now, the only down side is you really need to do your own footwork. The show room is very small so you need to shop around, find what you like, write down the name and take that information to Sofas for Less. Don't tell them what price you saw if for and I'm telling you they will automatically beat it. It's worth the extra footwork to get such great deals! read more

We are in love with our new sectional. Everyone that we had contact with was very friendly and helpful, the sofa came in 3.5 weeks, and is perfect. Would like a somewhat better fabric selection but what they have is on a par with similar stores. Also, when they say custom sizes, it's only custom within the limitations of the sizes of the sections. Nevertheless, we came up with a configuration that works perfectly. read more

I think it speaks for itself when a company has ALL 5 STAR REVIEWS. The owner is incredibly friendly and worked with my wife and I custom fitting a large sectional to our living room. He personally cam to our home and took measurements before we handed over any money, they delivered and installed and everything was great. We realized the color was actually slightly different then what we had ordered, we told the owner and he apologized and was going to order us a whole new custom set, my wife and I told him dont worry about it and we actually ended up liking this color better. That would have been good enough that he was willing to reorder no questions asked but he actually took it a step further and ordered us a matching ottoman to say sorry for the inconvenience (which there was none), what a stand up guy! I came here in the beginning of March to order a new couch for my new house that I recently bought/moved into. My Dad, used to be the owner of the property and managed it and also is a past customer, told me about this store and told me to see what they had and the cost as I was having trouble finding a couch I liked at a reasonable cost. I came here with my boyfriend, we picked out the couch and ordered it in bonded leather. we also got two free throw pillows as well for no additional cost. He had told us it would take 4-6 weeks to get our new couch. However, it took almost 8 weeks for it to be done and shipped to them. Which is a reason i took a star off, but I also took one star off because I called and asked for the timeline, as I live in El cerrito, near richmond-berkeley area and Antioch is a far drive for me. They never got back to me where my boyfriend called and got all the information for me. But for the priced i paid, and I have not picked up/seen the couch yet, it was a great deal! read more

Very good catalog of options, we ended up purchasing a love seat in a super comfy style with a black suede fabric that feels great to the touch. I was shopping for a new sofa for my elderly aunt. A friend of mine recommended Sofas 4 Less. I admit, I was a bit skeptical but decided to give them a try. When I walked in I was immediately greeted very warmly by Diana. She was so friendly and knowledgable and patiently guided me through the process from fabric choices to style to choice of cushion firmness. I ordered it on Monday and got a call from Derrick today (a mere 3 days later!!) that the sofa was ready. It is a beautiful and comfortable sofa and I know my aunt will love it. An added bonus is that Diana was so friendly, it's the first time I ever had FUN purchasing furniture. Yesterday, I was at another retailer and saw the SAME sofa....only problem was that they had less fabric choices and it was priced nearly $400 higher. If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would!! Sofas for Less is absolutely amazing. My mother was in town from New York and wanted to buy my husband and I a new couch. We first went to a store nearby, and thought their prices were great. My mom was ready to purchase a couch right then and there, but I told her I wanted to check out Sofas for Less to get a comparison. Boy, am I glad we did that! As soon as I walked in, my eyes led me to this beautiful 3 piece sectional in coffee color. Once I sat down on it, it was all over. I knew this was the couch for us. Diego was the individual working the store that afternoon, and he was a PLEASURE. Talk about excellent customer service!! He helped us order the sectional the way we wanted it, and in the same color of the sample in the store. He told us delivery would take approximately 3-4 weeks, and he was absolutely correct (3 and a half weeks to be exact). The delivery company was amazing as well, and were extremely friendly. They had told us the attachments for the sectionals may not hold, so if we had a problem to call the store. They were right in that the attachments did not hold our sectionals in place properly, so we called the store to let them know. Immediately Diego remembered who my mom and I were, and called up his delivery guys to make an appointment to come install new attachments. First off nobody asked us to write this review.... I found this place by looking on yelp and was a little skeptical because of the looks too good to be true reveiws. Well the wife and I went out there and took a look, everything in store was comfy, Mel was there and gave his little thing about you can pretty much do anything you want just pick a fabric and dimensions, then he left us alone... How about that, looking at sofas without a sleezy salesmen over your shoulder. We were originally thinking of leather and the only thing about this place is they don't have leather. So after checking things out we told Mel we were going to keep looking but might be back, he said perfect and even offered some advice at looking at other stores. Long story short, well shorter than what it could be, we came back the same day, picked out our couch a big awesome sectional. We thought about getting an ottoman but Mel said don't yet, wait and see after the couch is in the room to see if you have enough room... Did a sofa salesmen really just tell us to not buy something? Ordered the sofa Saturday, was delivered Thursday and after a month one of the best purchases we have made. Mel is awesome and apparently everyone else that works there. I purchased my custom sectional from Sofas for Less approx. 6 months ago. Dian, whom is one of the most pleasant, thoughtful and loving, person that I've ever met, helped me design it and choose my color patterns. I could not be happier with the design, colors, materials and overall quality construction of my sectional. Do to personal reasons, it took me some time to review this companies product, which is something I normally don't do anyway, but I'm even more so inclined to write one based on how beautifully it continues to remain, structurally and visibly, after excessive use. It has regularly doubled as a comfortable sleeper for guest, and myself of course, with no complaints other than not wanting to get off of it. :-) Their pricing is beyond competitive and the quality rivals any/all furniture stores out there, even those considered to be "high end". I had the pleasure of working with both Mel and Dian, whom are both wonderful and friendly individuals that genuinely care about their customers needs.
