I had to get a smog test recently and had the distinct pleasure of meeting the owner, Angie. I called earlier and she explained everything so well, amidst my questions during these challenging times. She greeted me with a smile, had a very nice waiting area and offered coffee or water while I waited. It only took 10 minutes for the smog test and it was the most pleasant experience! She made sure they took all the sanitary efforts to clean the wheel, etc and I felt so comfortable. I highly recommend Angie- her heart and soul are into providing this service! What a gem. read more

Best smog check ever. My car was started exactly on time per my appointment, and then I was done and out the door in less than 15 minutes. The last time I had a smog check at a different place, it took an hour even with an appointment. At Soco I was able to get it done fast and at a reasonable price too. Very friendly and quick service, I definitely recommend. read more

So grateful for finding SoCo Smog. Anytime I have to deal with anything auto related, I prepare to for a bad but necessary experience. So not the case at SoCo. Service was fast, on time and affordable. Seriously impressed. read more

I was referred to SoCo Smog Test by a coworker. Upon arrival the owner greeted me with a smile and truly helpful. Before the start of the testing I was already glad I brought my vehicle here. It's not often that you come into a mechanic shop and disarm your guard. For all of my friends that need a smog test I strongly urge you make the trip here. There's no way you should be disappointed. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. read more

Fast, friendly, efficient service. Love the idea of supporting an owned by, ran by women business.

In and out in 15 minutes. Friendly service. Dog is a sweetheart. I will definitely come back for future smog needs

This place was great. Very quick and comfortable and reasonably priced. Will definitely be back.

We came in with no appointment due to an unorganized DMV, the lady that manages (Angie, pardon me if I messed up the spelling) the place was beyond professional and beyond sweet, took our car super fast herself, and made us feel very comfortable giving the situation we are in (covid19). All went super smoothly and I was on my way. In 13 years of living in L.A/OC I've never had such a great experience. A business that's ran and owned by a strong independent woman. Now that's the future ! All love for Soco smog test ! read more

Soco Smog Test - Smog Check Station - Smog Check Stations Near Me - Costa Mesa, California

Had a great experience and hope to return for future Smog tests. As a car enthusiast with an older modified car (CA smog legal, of course) I'm always nervous when it comes time for my biannual smog checks. My particular vehicle is more difficult to look through and takes longer to do a thorough job - but a thorough job was done here no doubt. I made an appointment online several hours before arriving, and that really seemed to work out well. Great website, too! Pricing might have been just a touch higher than my usual places but still very fair in my opinion, and I was glad to pay it for the level of service received. Not to mention there was zero hassle over pricing when I showed the "coupon" from their website. Highly recommend this business for your smog check needs. read more

Quick, fast, and reliable. Plus Angie was an absolute pleasure. The decor and aesthetic in here differentiated it from your stereotypical dirty auto shop and made it feel like a cozy and comfy home. Thank you for your service! read more

Just got my car smogged here. I have never had to get one so I had no idea what I was doing. From the moment I called Angie was so kind and so helpful and ever friendlier in person! It took less than 20 minutes and honestly didn't even want to live cause the couch in the waiting area was so comfy! Would definitely recommend and will come here again next time! She even said I can bring my dog! read more

Fantastic service from Angie, the owner! Smog test went quickly and efficiently, and she even let me know there was a 2016 recall on a sensor for my particular car model in case I wanted to get that checked out. (Beverages are free, too, while you wait.) Will definitely come here the next time I need a smog test! read more

The service was quick , the owner Angie was super friendly and knows what she is doing! I finished my work earlier than I expected and I was able to get the service done as soon as I arrived before my actual appointment time. Thank you, Angie! read more

I had to get a smog check for the first time on my current car. My boyfriend recommended this place because of the great service he received and also because it was woman-owned. Even though it was just a smog check, as a woman when dealing with car stuff, I felt more comfortable coming here not just because the owner is female but she was also so personable, knowledgeable, and provided great service! read more

My husband took our car to get a Smog Check in December and was very impressed with the level of service that Angie provided. She communicated with him as soon as he got there that there was another appointment ahead of ours and she wanted to give that customer a couple of minutes just in case. The customer did arrive, and Angie continued throughout the process of letting my husband know how much longer before it would be our turn. The Smog Check was quick, and overall took less than 30 minutes even with 1 appointment ahead of ours. Communication and service was great. The place was also very Covid safe and you could tell Angie takes Covid precautions in her shop. We will definitely be bringing our other car to get a Smog Check here when the time comes. read more

I did a walk-in for a smog test. I've never taken my car for one so I was pretty nervous about what to do or look out for. Reviews for other places had many complaints about store owners yelling at them and when I came across "woman-owned business", I knew it was the place to go! Angie was super sweet, nice, and knowledgeable. I was in and out in 10 mins. Definitely coming back! read more
