This review pretty much sums up what it's like to be a loyal client that doesn't deserve to be treated unprofessionally. I am really disappointed with the lack of follow-up from Jena (Owner). It's been almost two weeks of trying to book an appointment as her client of two and a half years. It's really quite embarrassing. Neglecting clientele is completely unprofessional. My last appointment I had scheduled, I asked to reschedule because I needed to travel out of town. Jena never returned my text and so did not confirm the cancellation with me. I usually get a text message about the appointment, which I did not receive. Without my knowledge, Jena cancelled my appointment so that morning I text her I was on my way. Maybe a clear case of miscommunication and I get it, these things happen. However, since that day, I have yet to hear from her about rescheduling me. It is in the nature of business to learn how to follow-up. So simple. I have never been treated like this and am a very loyal paying customer. Like I said, rescheduling is normal. Everyone has a life. Everyone is busy. Just be professional and own up to the fact that if you cannot handle the amount of work you're faced with, just pay for someone to organize your clients for you. I would suggest getting an assistant to help with bookings before expanding. It's just not a good look to maintain especially with clientele who isn't afraid to write about their horrible experiences. This is a HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. As a business owner myself, I'd want the absolute best experience for my customers. This is clearly not a great experience. I did not expect this at all. Luckily I found an amazing lash studio in Rohnert Park. I loooove their studio, politeness, thoroughness AND professionalism. Their prices are also so much more affordable. My lashes are bomb. I'll just put this experience at SOCO with Jena in the trash and move on. read more

My hair was a disaster before , it was really damaged, broken , over processed, you name it. Danika has "nursed" it back to health and then some! I'm mad at myself for not going to her sooner! I am consistently amazed by the Loft. I've been getting rockstar manicures by Jena for about a year now and have always left completely satisfied. People ask me where I get my nails done on the daily and I always, always refer them to this salon. It feels like home; always so quiet and calming, and the girls are kind and full of personality. Having called several businesses, this is the only one I hadn't heard back from. I still would like lashes and nails future wise, but now will go elsewhere. Very disappointing. 40 minutes. This girl buffed, filled, shaped and painted in 40 minutes. I normally allot 1-2 hours for a fill depending how wild I want to make my nail art. Now I'm sure your milage may vary on the time needed for your set, so don't hold her to it but Jessica was amazing! I will for sure be back! read more

This salon has many services. My review is for Tatiana, who does spray tans. Tatiana is wonderful. She is kind, funny, and makes you feel comfortable during the spray tan process (for some it can be a bit uncomfortable since you are nude or almost nude). I have done a few spray tans over the years and, HANDS DOWN, she is the best. She is a perfectionist and makes sure that every spot on your body is sprayed and dried to perfection. I have never had a better spray tan in my life. She has great hours of availability that fits perfectly for those of us with a full-time job. My first appt was at 9am before work. My second appt was at 530pm after work. She is also easy to be reached. I can text her at any time to ask questions or schedule my next appt. In addition to Tatiana being a great lady, her product is also the best. She doesn't use the junky mystic tan. Instead, she uses a product that has mostly natural ingredients (walnuts are the base for the tan color). The tan lasts a long time and it fades naturally. No peeling or awkward orange flakes. No one could tell that I had a spray tan. Another great bonus? She has very reasonable prices and begins with a discount price for the first appt. Although her prices could vary, I paid $20 for my first appt. She also offers discounts on Thursdays (which I think is the best day to tan so you can sleep on it and be ready for the weekend!). If you ever need a spray tan, look no further, Tatiana is the best. She has a customer for life. read more

I've been getting my nails done by Jena for two years and love the salon. Did I think it could possibly get any better??????Heck no! The whole crew there is sweet and informing. After hearing that they decided to open a hair salon in the shop I was asked by Jena if I knew any good stylists. After we started talking about who does my hair we were both happy to realize that one of the girls she wanted there is actually Nichole!!!!! The only person in the last 10 years who I have let touch my hair is Nichole! She has a magic touch with cut and color that I've never seen from another person. I go in with faded color, tons of split ends and a lot of growth and every time I leave I am astonished. She is a hair guru!!!!!! So excited that she is now a part of their family!!!!!! I believe Mandy did my manicure/pedicure for my wedding and I was very impressed! These nails are still going strong after 3 weeks. She did a beautiful design and it was so nice to be able to bounce ideas back and forth to get what I wanted. It does smell very strong in the place and is the only drawback. Danika O'Leary is hands down the best colorist and stylist I've been to since I moved to California 7 years ago! I came in based off of a referral (from a picture). My hair journey with Danika has been so wonderful and I am so sad that I am moving across the country. I first started seeing Danika off a referral from a friend who had her hair repaired by Danika so that gave me hope. I'm am normally a light brown with blond highlights, but I was tired of that and Danika wanted to try something new. So I let her. She decided that with my skin tone I should be a red head and I agree. My hair is so full of life now its absolutely stunning. I'm going to have to save up and fly back to keep my hair maintained (lol) because I'm not sure I will ever be so lucky to find someone like her. I saw Cassandra (beautyby_sass_) and she is amazing! Super sweet and professional. I made an appointment for my sister in law as a birthday present and she was very accommodating when I booked my appointment! She also checked in with me a couple times before my appointment which I thought was very considerate and thoughtful. When we got to the lash bar she was very prompt to seat my sister and she made sure we both felt very comfortable. Cassandra is a great lash technician, very careful and precise with every lash, I really loved seeing her work. But Ashley made my hair look incredible. And it was in pretty bad shape beforehand! Her blending with color is perfection... She did the most extensive coloring job and I can honestly say I have no complaints. My cut was also exactly what I wanted and doesn't require a ton of heat styling... I have curly/wavy hair and Ashley cut it in a way that works with my texture. Ps she can style the heck out of your hair... Think of the Pinterest/Instagram hairstyling but BETTER!!! read more

This is an update of my previous review where I had originally given 1 star. I had posted the review in September and was almost immediately contacted by Jena who offered for me to come in and have a redo. I was interested in doing it but never got around to setting it up. Jena again reached out to me yesterday and then got me in today. This time I love how my nails turned out. Every cuticle is perfectly cut and they are perfectly shaped. When shaping them Jena asked me if I wanted them square or rounded. She let me know that if I get them rounded that I can keep length that way, something I've never be told before. She also talked me in to doing a style on my nails that was healthier for my nails than what I originally wanted. I definitely recommend Jena. She does a great job. She is fast (which is what I prefer since I don't want to sit there all day) but she does not sacrifice perfection for speed. Another plus to coming here is there is no chemical smell when you walk in which is nice and more relaxing. read more

Mallory and I met in beauty school and she has been giving me any and every skin service possible. Shes nothing short of amazing and is extremely knowledgeable of skin as well as what products do and don't work well for each individual. I've never strayed from Mallory because she has never steered me wrong with products and or services. I never realized how great my skin could look until I started receiving facials, once every 5-6 weeks. It really makes a difference in the texture and appearance of your skin. Mallory is truly the best in the biz when it comes to skincare and practically anything that has to do with what you're using inside and out. This place has the absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced....specifically Mandy Johnson. I contacted Mandy after finding her Instagram. I did not receive or call or text back after me asking her if she had availability to do my nails. I followed up a few days later asking again if she was accepting new clients...again I receive no response back. At this point it is just plain rude to not respond to a possible client. After still not receiving response back, I look at her instagram again to double check I am texting the right number and I find she has added a "Currently not taking new clients" line under her name. I can most definitely understand she has a full book of clients, but why burn the bridge with possible future clients?? Mandy has left a bad taste in my mouth regarding this whole salon. I cannot get over how amazing my full set came out. I got my nails done by Jena Cash and she was amazing. I showed her a picture of how I wanted my nails and she made sure to make it look exactly like the picture. They lasted for about three weeks and still looked good even though they were grown out. Along with the amazing manicure, all the staff were super sweet. They made it a really fun, and comfortable atmosphere. The inside of the salon didn't feel like a typical salon either. The decor makes it look very homey and clean. You feel like you're at a girl friends house just hanging out. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for a good manicure. read more

I tried this place based on two friends recommendations. I prefer to only have colored polish on the tips, I didn't think that was very complicated. My overall experience of this salon is just very poor. I went maybe 6 or 7 times hoping the end result would get better. I really liked the gal Kim I was going to but was never happy with my nails. I even changed what I would get to see if she could do better with something else. The last 2 times, I switched to pink and whites thinking it can't get much simpler than that. This last time, 7 of my 10 nails started lifting after a week and they would lose their shine after a few days. They would then look dull until I got a fill. I get a fill every 2 weeks, religiously, so this shouldn't be happening. Never had I ever been to another salon where I had so much lifting in my nails and I've been getting my nails done on and off for years. Tips were never glued onto my nails, all the acrylic was on my nails and thwyre long. So because of this there would be a lot of flexibility and weakness in my nails. The C curves on my nails were never consistent. Some would be off center and some would be almost flat. My whites would chip super easily and would look almost pitted. They don't use drills very much to file nails, they do most of it by hand with a nail file and a buffer so you're there for 2-3 hours. This the first salon I've ever been to that does all that by hand. So my nails kept coming out lumpy and it would drive me nuts. And the pinks would look super bubbly under the surface. Then as my nails would grow out, small sharp pieces of acrylic would stick out the sides of my nails (because they don't use drills much) and the sharp pieces would poke and cut me. I would have to file my own nails every couple of days to keep them down. Like I said, I get my nails done every 2 weeks, and never had I ever had to maintain my own nails so much when actively seeing a nail expert. I'm paying whoever is doing my nails for their expertise. I'm paying for your skill and training. I'm not paying for someone to practice on my nails. I shouldn't have to tell a nail expert how to do basic nails. Also, the salon is super gossipy. It's not relaxing at all. You're already there for a long time. Everyone is super chit-chaty but when I get my nails done I want to sit and relax. I don't want to carry on a conversation for 2-3 hours. I'm a server at a fast paced, high end restaurant. My nails must be a 10 at all times and they must be strong. Definitely didn't get what I was looking for here. read more

I have nothing but positive things to say about all the girls at the loft! I saw Jena for years and loved everything she ever did. She's creative and even when I didn't know what I wanted, she'd always come up with something and I was always happy! I also go to Alisha as well. She is AMAZING! Show her a picture and she can literally paint a nail sized version! My nails always last for at least 2-3 weeks and I'm always 100% happy when I leave the salon. I decided it was time for my youngest 2 kids to get their hair cut. (First time for both) I set up an appt with Ms. Danika a few days ago and she was thorough and prompt at getting me in on the date and the time frame I requested. She got us in and gave them their cuts and they are so stinking adorable! My 5yr old daughter now has hair at a length we can manage and doesnt get caught in everything. My 19month son, yes, I said months, was great and Danika was so sweet with him! He has curly fine baby hairs and she cleaned him up so well. He looks like a lil man now! When finished with them, she even had time to squeeze in a cut in for me. Danika is so sweet, efficient, thorough, honest, and listens to what you request. I've only had my hair cut twice since last year, & both times by her. After searching for a nail salon for over a year I am so glad I found Jena! She is an amazing person and wonderful to chat with. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave me rockstar nails like I've never seen before! The loft is beautiful and I feel relaxed the moment I step through the door. The waiting area is filled with gorgeous vintage looking comfortable chairs. Each girl there runs her own little nail corner and they even have someone doing eye lash extensions and I believe waxing. The location is not what I expected but their upstairs suite is perfect. I was able to book an appointment with Jena on the same day but was unaware that she does not accept credit cards. So next time I will remember to bring cash. The price is a bit more than I usually pay and I think there was a special price for the time that I went too. It's not a bad price though for how lovely the salon was and how great my nails turned out. I would definitely return to this salon again as long as my wallet can handle it!!! read more

I travel from the East Bay to Rohnert Park to see her- THAT'S how impressed I am by her.
