Came here during our vacation on a Monday morning and this place is so cute inside. It has multiple different seating areas for you to sit and enjoy your delicious coffee and warmed cheese danish (or any of the other yummy pastries/treats they have to offer here). They do have a drive-thru so you don't need to head inside if you don't have the time. However, with 2 people working - 1 behind the register and 1 making the drinks - there was a little wait. They were friendly and accommodating, asking if I wanted a little bit of cold milk or if I wanted steamed milk added. They even made sure to let me know if I wanted/needed more steamed milk that I could get some more. And Customer restroom is available. read more

Unfortunately this place isn't the greatest. It was a sad experience on my part as I LOVE coffee. Coffee tastes burnt. The service was wonderful and the staff are amazing. Very nice place all around..EXCEPT the taste of the coffee. I'm saddened to have to leave a not so good review. read more

This is a cute and busy coffee shop located with easy access for your code needs! The barista was quick and the staff were friendly! I enjoyed my experience here. Save your time and go somewhere else. The place is cute, the service is OK, if you are in, "The In Crowd ", They should rename the place to So Slow Coffee. Going through the drive through is a 15 min wast of time from order to getting your order. The last time I went through the drive through, the woman was sitting in the window chatting/flirting with the Guy in a new truck. And after he drove away she was not the same bubbly person she was previously. Actually she was a "Karen". They have a coffee rewards card system, but they roll their eyes at you and huff if you give it to them when you pay. Litterally - I heard the women, insult me by using their rewards cards. Saying "Hears another cheap card customer" - she didnt realized the window was open. This is a hobby restaurant for the owners of yhe building, and for those who work there , its just a place to hang out. The coffee if ok, but Dutch Bros is faster and better priced, plus the employees there appreciate everyone. The bagles are stale, and the food - well ???? Its taken me several years to write this review, in hopes that they actually produce a reliable restaurant. But unfortunately its just a hang out. With higher rotation of employees. Visiting family in town, I typically have coffee at their home, but when everyone is sleeping in, I'll stop in here. Came by on my last visit, and decided to come inside for my order, rather than use the drive-through. Upon arrival, there was no one around, so I hung out at the counter. I figured, 'the barista must be in the back, grabbing more supplies...'. Sure enough, she came around the corner a few minutes later, but immediately started stocking things away. Finally, I called out, 'Good morning', but no response. That's odd - no 'Welcome to SoCo"? Finally, she stood up and said, 'Do you know what want?' Yeah, I did, so I got my order in quick. Maybe I just looked like one of those guys that orders something cheap & camps out on their WiFi all day... I don't know. Maybe it was a rough morning, with rude customers before me. I get it. Still, pretty off-putting to not even get a greeting. Even a 'Yer not from around these parts, are ya?' would have given both of us a good laugh. As my drink was being made, a local pulled up at the window right then, as the barista started chatting it up with her. They at least had a great laugh together, so apparently the day wasn't ruined with my visit. I did get a 'have a good day' as I was handed my drink, so all was not lost for me either. On past trips here, it's been cordial at least, so I'll give them another shot next time through. The great news is the place is well-lit, the coffee is tasty, the décor is actually pretty cool (you have to check out the murals!). If that's what you've got in mind, this place is 5-Stars! If great customer service for strangers is your thing, well, set your expectations accordingly. read more

Great service, coffee and tons of options. Appreciated finding this spot on our drive back to Portland from LA. I would give them 4 stars except for the unnecessary packaging. I'm actually writing this review to request that they consider not using styrofoam and plastic packaging for burritos and bagels. Please fund a better solution - aluminum, butcher paper or other options to keep your corner of the world and ours beautiful. I understand we're also responsible - we choose to go and to purchase at all, but seem like an easy solution could be found. Thanks for considering it. read more

I ordered the Twisted Creek BLT. It comes on a croissant and has an interesting mayo blend (maybe a hint of horseradish?) It was a perfect light snack to split with my daughter. She had a salted caramel cappuccino (delicious) and I had a black raspberry Long Island ice tea with lemonade (non alcohol) which was refreshing. I am here now for the first time. I'm on my second cup of regular coffee. Refills are a bit pricey (I'm cheap lol) at a dollar a refill but the coffee is so good that even a tightwad like me thought it was well worth it. Lol I didn't try anything to eat but everything sure looks good and the service was wonderful. Everyone smiled, acknowledged me even tho they were busy and they're fast making it. We have been traveling from San Diego and up the 101 and decided to venture a little inland ( to get warm ) and found this place. Number 1 thing is the friendliness of the staff and eagerness to please. Second is their coffee and milk ( selections ). They have any kind of milk you can think of and all the healthy options you would want. Third is the prices, WOW they are cheap, especially coming from Southern California where you can pay an arm and a leg for healthy milk options and coffee alone. Haha. This place is definitely 5 stars and if I am ever back in this neck of the woods, I will surely stop by to say hi and enjoy a beverage. I didn't try the food but it looked amazing. I came across this place by accident during my road trip and I'm glad I did. Honestly my bladder was about to explode and I was just going to run in and pee and maybe buy a bottle of water to be nice. Five minutes and an empty bladder later I was over taken by the wonderful smells emitting from behind the counter so instead I opted for a spiced chai. I'm drinking it now and can say honestly it's the best I've had. Anyone who's ever driven from Coos Bay to the I-5 knows that there is absolutely no where to stop, so thank you grumpy old lady in the tacky capris at the golf and rv resort for running me off when I asked to pee at the office. My parents live there in Myrtle Creek, so over the weekend stopped by to say hi to the folks. Needed coffee, so they suggested SOCO, plus they have drive-thru (always a plus). Prices are reasonable (matter of opinion) service was good, coffee was as I had ordered it and they actually knew what white coffee was (thought they didn't have it). Really the only place in town to get a decent cup of coffee - have been working in myrtle creek for a few weeks and signed up for the text specials. Received $2 on all 16oz coffee one day only, great! Order a coffee and they want full price, "oh, that only applies to one flavor drinks". Not what the text said - keep your coffee, lost a customer and the $7.50 I've been spending there (plus tips). Mean what you say, and say what you mean. They should try some customer service training, cuz their attitude suck. read more

I liked it so much I dropped a pin on it for my next Seattle/NorCal road trip. Just off of I-5 on the way from Seattle to NorCal, I NEEDED my late morning coffee!!!! I had been looking for a Starbucks but there were no roadsigns indicating an easy access one for 45 minutes (we are basically in rural Oregon). As soon as I saw the sign on I-5 for SOCO, I zipped off the freeway, crossed over a gorgeous, milky green river and SOCO coffee was just on the left. The double cappucino was perfectly foamed and the coffee was Seattle roast quality. I ordered the breakfast egg/cheese/tomato croissant and they offered avocado (yes, I know it's extra) and glad I did although it would still have been great without it. Also, I often critically judge places on unripened tomatoes because it seems cheap from a business perspective but this tomato slice was perfectly ripe - bonus points!! The portion was the perfect size for an adult and reasonably priced. I'm raving here because as good as a coffee house can be, nice decor, wifi, nice restrooms, designed so that you're encouraged to linger, if it wasn't for the super friendly staff, none of the above would mean much.
