They did it again! Awesome job!! I had my faded green blue hair until I got my burnt orange ombré hair. Hazel is great with bleaching out to remove my faded color hair. Then let me choose the colors that I want. Vibe is still great! So many people had great compliment about my hair. My husband kept saying I look sexy everyday. Most of people said this color is great for my olive skin. Worth it! Matches my fall theme!! Highly recommended!!

Mikaela (Instagram @mikaela.societyasalon) does my hair and I am so beyond excited to have found my forever stylist, something I've been longing for. I tell her and/or show her what I want and she just runs with it (I trust her fully). Mikaela and I actually went to high school together... but that's not the reason I decided to go to her it's because of her amazing work, check her out on Instagram (name provided above) and make a consult apt today!

Clearly you can see how dark my roots still are, 9 days after a $500 full foil service to lighten my roots.

TLDR/short version: I spent $500 for my hair to look like it did before I even got it done (dark roots). All I asked for was a full foil to brighten my roots. Long story: I've been blonde for 15 years & get my hair done every 4 months. My regular stylist moved away so I found this place & booked with Jessica. I was told she specializes in blondes (didn't verify this). My natural hair color is dirty blonde/light brown & I had a couple inches of grow-outs when I came in. What I wanted was simple: to bleach my grow-outs so all of my hair was uniform. I scheduled a full-foil to achieve this & showed her an inspiration pic OF ME from about a year ago. This is extremely easy to achieve. Like I said, I've always been blonde. During the appt, she asked if I wanted a sharp foil line or a more blended root. I said that most importantly, I want my roots BRIGHT BLONDE, like the rest of my hair & that I'm not too concerned about a sharp grow-out line but that we could blend it a bit, as needed. She said we should do a root powder. I agreed, so as long as it doesn't look like I still have grow-outs in the end. She also told me the full price for everything would be "high three hundreds, maybe four hundred" (this included a hair cut & gloss too) but somehow we ended up at $455 + $45 tip which is not a big deal as I'm happy to pay a premium price for a premium service. My hair was styled in the end which looked nice but I could see that my roots still looked dark. I assumed it was the cool gloss changing the overall hue. I thought I was overthinking it until several people pointed out that my grow-outs are still very dark & that I should go back in. I washed it twice to see if some of the root powder would fade & it did not. Then after a week, I finally reached out to the salon & was told I was outside of the timeframe for a "re-do" which I believe is 7 days, yet I reached out on the 9th day. I explained that I am not asking for a re-do, but just a few foils to brighten up my root line. I was absolutely not asking for another full foil or partial foil. My request was exceptionally reasonable & they declined, but offered me an undisclosed discount off a future service. It is shocking how dark my roots are after my $500 lightening service & even more shocking that I couldn't get a handful of foils to brighten the frame around my face & somewhat fix the issue. Ultimately, she should have never done a root powder after I explained that I wanted bright roots. Maybe I should have researched more about a root powder before I let her do it. But it still falls on the stylist for even suggesting it, when I was clear about what I wanted, which was the exact opposite of dark roots. I posted 2 photos of the final product and 1 photo of my hair from a different stylist to show what it should have looked like. I am so disappointed & sick about spending $500 on this.

Hazel did such an incredible job and I think I've finally found my hair girl! She totally nailed what I wanted done. I went in last month and asked for a trim + curtain bangs and expressed I was afraid of taking too much length off. She cut off the perfect amount and my hair looked beautiful and was so so healthy. Her styling was on point too. I'll be back for sure!

I always come out looking like a different person. Each stylist is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. In addition to getting you to your desired look, they care about the health of your hair. Highly recommend Society!

AFTER!!!! I can not even believe Nina was able to pull this off!!!

Nina is absolutely incredible! I came in with hair that had been DESTROYED. It was orange/blonde/brown? It was so embarrassing....BUT Nina fixed it! My hair is GORGEOUS now. I contacted her in a panic because I have my engagement photos soon, she was a blessing! She not only made my hair exactly how I wanted it but she was also so nice to talk to! She worked SO hard to make sure I loved my hair. I was soooo lucky to find her. I can't wait for her to do my wedding hair!!!

Jenna is a miracle worker with hair! She takes her time, she listens to what you want and envision and she brings it to light! She is a very talented woman. I am a blonde, and she is a god send with blondes. My hair never turns orange or brassy. She does amazing with balayage. Although I've never used any other stylist besides Jenna, I have seen their work and it's also top notch. 10/10 recommend.

A friend recommended this salon and since her hair was so nice I decided to try it out. Since I haven't found a salon since moving to the PNW. I checked reviews and images of clients hair. Everything looked great, so I scheduled my consult. During the consult I did not receive a friendly introduction and felt very rushed. I got bad vibes after I tried to explain how I wanted my hair the stylist (Jane) said, "So you want what, like a price quote? Get out your phone calculator to add it." Despite my best judgement I booked the appointment since it was only a week out and all her Instagram pictures and reviews online looked great. I should have went with my gut instinct. I had asked for a dark blonde base with highlights, Jane advised I go darker base which I agreed to but, I ended up with copper base and blonde highlights. I started to cry immediately. It was horrible. After trying to blame me for the base being so copper, and me reminding her I agreed to her advise of the darker base so this wouldn't happen she admitted that it lightened more than she thought it would and she offered to darken the base but had to re-foil my hair so the highlights wouldn't get covered. I agreed even though I felt horrible for having her re-do it. I had never had this happen to me in the 11 years I have been getting highlights. It was 8:30pm when she started to fix it and rushed to put the foil, she ended up making the highlights so uneven, thick in spots, thin in some. She left out some of the original ones she had done and covered them with the base since she was in such a hurry. It looks alright (better than copper) but I still hate it and it is nothing near what I wanted. Only reason I gave 2 stars was because she attempted to fix it. I do like the cut though. What a waste of over $200.

I booked for all over color and later was told it would be a bleaching service instead if I wanted to go lighter. I agreed to all over color and going lighter. So this was fine. I originally had all over hair color that was dark brown with naturally grown out roots (2-3 inches). Then McKenna mentioned she was doing something similar to "balayage" when the other stylist and their client asked what she was doing to my hair. I clearly communicated my preference against highlights multiple times, even questioning the stylist during the process when her technique appeared inconsistent with a solid application. Despite assurances of an all-over color, my hair developed "dimensions" and it was BLONDE with noticeable damage to my hair. I thought she was coloring my roots but she was creating "dimensions". Dimensions is not all over color. Dimensions is "highlights", streaks, and lines that's not all over color. I wanted one solid color and for my black roots to be matching the brown all over color. Does that make sense? Does that mean I want highlights? When I contacted the business via email, the owner responded. We went back and forth few times. She only offered to have McKenna fix it, which I didn't want, and suggested just toning it darker, which I knew wouldn't stop the highlights from reappearing. The salon owner's subsequent offer to explain why "highlights" were necessary, rather than acknowledging the deviation from my original request, further illustrates a misunderstanding of my concerns. This experience represents a critical breakdown in communication and trust, as I was misled about the service being performed and would have sought a different salon. I don't think this salon does lift and color method. Or the owner is protecting the new stylist's mistakes. Regardless, McKenna is busy posting on Instagram. There is a photo of my hair and titles it "Behind the scenes" like it is a proud moment for her to lie to a client rather than reaching out to apologize. She should have been saving my hair from being burnt off other than taking photos at the sink. My hair is burnt off and I'm pretty she noticed it when she was blow drying my hair. She failed to mentioned the blotches and missing hair. I did not even get the deep conditioning treatment that I requested. I did get anything that I requested or wanted! In the end, I have unwanted highlights and less hair than before. My hair color is further away from my intended goal because she ignored everything that I said and gave me brassy highlights. I requested for refund or another stylist at the same location to correct my hair. That's when communication stopped and the owner never responded again. This service totaled $270. Here's the thing. New stylist and seasoned stylists can make mistakes! But the stylist is posting on social media other than apologizing. The business owner doesn't understand why you don't want to be getting your done by the same stylists that did everything other than what you have requested... this is not a good business to support.

(Realized I forgot my review in my drafts! So I'm posting it now!)…read more I usually give a salon multiple chances before writing a negative review--unless something seriously goes wrong. Unfortunately, in this case, it did. I've been here a few times for lashes and once previously for hair, and my first hair appointment was great. The stylist was gentle, communicative, and professional. I loved my hair, was shown products afterward, and happily purchased them. I left feeling taken care of. This second hair appointment was a completely different experience. I was greeted by a young stylist who seemed pleasant and understood what I wanted. However, once she began, I immediately noticed she had extremely long, sharp acrylic nails (about 1.5-2 inches). While I have nothing against acrylics--I wear them myself--there needs to be a limit in a professional setting, especially when working so closely with a client's scalp and hair. She colored my hair without gloves, which already made me uncomfortable. Throughout brushing, coloring, and washing, my hair repeatedly got caught in her lifting acrylics. My hair was yanked out multiple times, and at points it was genuinely painful. Holding a brush seemed difficult for her, and the brushing was rough and uncomfortable. The shampoo experience was by far the worst I've ever had. Normally, that's my favorite part of a salon visit. Instead, due to her nails, she couldn't properly massage or clean my scalp. The shampoo barely reached my roots, yet my hair was pulled the most at the bowl. My scalp was sore for two days afterward, to the point where brushing hurt. I'm a mom of three and a full-time college student, so self-care time is rare. I was really looking forward to relaxing--maybe even reading--but it was hard to focus through the discomfort. On top of that, the stylist seemed mentally checked out, asking me the same questions twice and lacking awareness of the situation. When the service ended, she simply removed my robe and said thanks for coming. No walk-out, no product recommendations. I had planned on purchasing shampoo, conditioner, and heat protectant again, but I left without anything. I still paid for the service and left a tip. After taking a few days to cool off, I felt this needed to be said. This experience was unsanitary, painful, and disappointing. My hair turned out "meh"--the haircut felt rushed, I didn't get the layers I asked for, and highlights alone don't make up for the experience. I truly loved coming here, but after this, it won't be my salon anymore. If you come here for hair services, I strongly recommend choosing a stylist whose nails allow them to work safely, hygienically, and comfortably--preferably ones that can fit inside gloves.
