Looked on Yelp and Bangs had good reviews so I gave them a call to make sure that they took walk-ins and Emily ended up taking me. She did an AMAZING JOB. #Blessed It's always hard moving to a new area and finding a new stylist that actually 'gets' my haircut, since it's sort of a tricky one. Emily listened to everything and took the cut in steps to make sure that she didn't take too much off. There's usually growing pains with a new stylist, but none here! Used a Groupon to get an amazing deal so I got a partial foil done as well. Again, Emily knocked it out of the part. The highlights are super subtle and look natural which is what I was going for. I had a cut with Emily, who is so sweet and very talented! She was extremely thorough and took her time to get to the exact result I pictured. She didn't seem rushed or bored during the process and put her full focus and energy into my hair. I went from extremely, long, thick, and puffy hair to a stylish inverted bob. She also texturized, thinned, added layers to my hair as well. Abby was so nice and engaging, and my hair color has not run! Another hair dresser would join our conversation and it felt very welcoming. I had seen some friends post about getting hair done here so I thought I'd give them a try. I have long hair that hasn't been colored since grown out and cut off, so I was just aiming for some dementional highlights. Opted for a balayage (sp?) On the surface and a healthy trim. I inquired through the website late at night and was called for scheduling the next day. Reception was great - easy to work with and explained everything COVID related. I didnt have a stylist preference and was paired with Shea within a few days on her schedule. The salon has you call when you arrive and wait in your car for COVID precautions and I was ushered in right on time. After admitting to layering myself through quarantine to lighten the load and showing her a few pics I snapped off Google, off we went. I know my hair and what I usually like tone wise and she wasn't rushed in getting to know my "hairstory". I appreciated the time she took in the initial convo of what I was looking for. In the end I have perfectly sun-kissed highlights and a trim that anyone with long hair would appreciate - not a huge amount but healthy. Evened out some of my home layering too.. She didn't pay attention to the many times I expressed I needed layers (with pics). I now have a one length bob, no layers. She had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about a particular brand of products (that she was standing directly in front of). She clearly could not have cared less about my hair or her job, for that matter. Took two hours for the entire service! She was half asleep. I recently had an appointment to get my haircut at Bangs Salon, I am not going to say the stylists name because I truly think she's a great stylist. I just ended up with a bad cut. I saw a Groupon for the salon and thought it was such a great deal, but I should call and see if they have any openings. My appointment was on a Friday night, I started with long curly hair and wanted something dramatically different. When I called to schedule my appointment I made it clear that I had thick hair, was doing a drastic cut and wanted someone with experience. I arrived for my appointment and explained that I wanted to go a lot shorter, that my hair is naturally curly, thick and from time to time I straighten it. She was super receptive and friendly, I left feeling like I got a great haircut (which she curled). A day or so later I washed it and let my natural curls come through, it was great. Totally cute but a little heavy at the ends. Come Monday before work I straightened it, that's when I saw all of the problems. There were a few chunks that were an inch or so longer than the general haircut, and to top it off my right side was quite a bit longer than the left. The next day I emailed the Salon, they asked if I could come in that day and if so to give them a call. I called in and the woman helping me was rather rude and kept trying to schedule me with whoever was available (I felt like I was headed for another bad cut), then I asked to clarify if I was expected to pay for it or not. She abruptly put me on hold, I was getting rather frustrated because I had a feeling I was going to be stuck with my haircut. That's when the owner Leann came on the phone. She was so kind and understanding, offered to see me HERSELF that same day for no charge. I am the kinda person who feels terrible complaining but she was so kind through it all. I was washed, blow dried and then straightened, she went through and fixed every single layer. Thinned things out to cut back on some of the bulk, balanced things and sent me on my way, even told me to message her once I wash it to let her know how it works with my natural curl. I have never had such a great interaction with an owner of a business. She was ready and willing to do right by her salon. read more

I scheduled an appointment, & followed up with that appointment 2 days prior, but when I showed up they had no appointment scheduled or no record of the 2 appointments that I originally had. The receptionists only excuse was that this happens all the time & I could come back another time. There was no trying to figure out what happened or trying to save a customer. Just a sorry I'm not the boss & I can give you her number if you have a problem. No thanks I would rather go somewhere else. Don't waste your time. Made an appointment for my 15 year old daughter to have her hair colored (more color added to already colored hair). Dropped her off to run errands as it would be about a 90 minute appointment. The stylist talked her into bleaching out her hair, doing a different color. This included a full foil. I arrive to pick her up, she is only partway through the process of a color correction. I DID NOT make an appointment for a color correction and this child is only 15. This $90 minute appointment turned into 8 hours with an attempt to charge me $60 an hour, all without any communication with me. I would have pulled her out of that chair after the first 90 minutes if her hair wasn't completely bleached out. Now it is completely damaged and the color lasted just shy of a week. Moved to the area a few months ago. Found Bangs on Yelp... they had great reviews so I decided to try it. Got lucky and got in right away with Courtney. She was great.... listened to my concerns and what I wanted and she did exactly what I wanted. I got all over color, balayage and a cut...I was worried about my very dark colored hair lifting too much and liking like a skunk but Courtney heard my concerns and lifted it just a little to give me coppery, natural highlights.
