It is located in a beautiful and lush area on Queen Emma Street near the Queen's Hospital...fit for a...QUEEN! Lol, playing with words here! This place is quaint and quite lovely. Actually, I can imagine a Queen coming here to relax, socialize and dine here. I really enjoyed coming here...probably my first...and my last time here. Unless, I get invited here again...HINT HINT! The Pacific Club is a private club for Members ONLY! I was fortunate enough to be invited to my friend's graduation party at this venue. Upon arrival, I was amazed with the ambiance! The open air concept of the club is so peaceful, serene and relaxing! Love, love, love that! We were in the...MANGOS dining area. Of course, surrounded by mango trees! What a perfect place to chill, gather, drink, eat and be merry with friends and family! Here's what I enjoyed: CAESAR SALAD: so ono! I only had 3 servings of this, lol. One of my favorite for the evening! KALUA PIG BAO BUNS: very delish. I had seconds on this. SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP with PITA CHIPS: delicious, but very rich. POTSTICKERS: pretty good...your typical dumplings PRIME RIB: yummy for my tummy. I enjoyed this twice. BREAD PUDDING with a cream sauce: this was yummy and decadent. I loved this, too. So, if you get an invitation to go to ...THE PACIFIC CLUB for a party or to socialize here, make sure you go! You'll thank me for that!

The grounds are well kept and there is a covered drive-way at the entrance to the club for drop-offs. When you walk in, there is a feeling of coziness. The main reception area is very welcoming with comfortable seating, plants and a beautiful painting of the Waimea Canyon. To the left of the entrance and past the reception desk, there is library room filled with books and seating. Our luncheon was held in the Card room. There were about 40 of us in attendance. This room also gives you the feeling of comfort and welcome. The buffet was situated on tables along the windows. The food was good. There were 2 entrees - roasted chicken, shitake hoisin cream sauce and furikake crusted salmon with wasabi butter sauce. The salmon had nice flavor, not overcooked or dry and even though there was wasabi in the sauce, it wasn't a lot to be spicy. The chicken was boneless and skinless thighs, also not dry to the taste and the sauce complemented the chicken perfectly. Other items on the buffet line were caesar salad, fresh made rolls, tomato-mozzarella salad, huge fruit bowl, steamed vegetables, fried rice, and a separate dessert table. There were 3 - mini chocolate cake, apple tart, and bread pudding. The apple tart was good and the bread pudding with the sauce was ono. I didn't care for the fried rice because there were too many vegetables in it and not a local-style type fried rice. It is a nice venue to have a function and it seems to be a popular place. I noticed when we entered the building there were several functions scheduled on their events board for the rest of the day. I don't know if they were shorthanded but the wait staff did not come around to refill water glasses or iced tea. There was a table set up for coffee or tea so apparently it was self-serve after they give you the first glass. But the whole 2 hours there, no one had come by to fill our water glasses. And they seemed a little slow at removing used plates from the tables. Restrooms were very clean and had nice touches like mouthwash dispenser with paper cups and wash cloth towels to dry your hands vs paper towels. Overall, ambiance is great, food was good, improvement needed on the wait staff.

However, the experience ended in a way that made me uncomfortable. After we finished our meal, a young female busser with long brown hair approached our table and asked my boyfriend for a ride home. We were clearly dining together as a couple, so the request felt inappropriate and unprofessional for a staff member to make to a guest. Situations where staff ask guests for personal favors or transportation can place diners in an awkward position and blur normal guest-staff boundaries. I did speak with a manager about the situation and was told it would be looked into and that they would follow up with me tomorrow, which I appreciate. I'm sharing this feedback so management is aware and can address it internally.

The seating and view were absolutely gorgeous! There was a storm brewing and a little rain but it made a nice ambiance. We had chicken wings and clam chowder as an appetizer. The wings were crispy and the chowder was creamy! The burger was very flavorful and generous in size. The filet was grilled to perfection and had a blueberry compote which paired very well. Was served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. The Mai tai was a very heavy pour and delicious!

If you are a visiting mason, come by and enjoy meeting your bros! I've been coming here for years just accompanying my other half. They are more like family not a "social club". Other masonic organizations meet here so there is a good chance that if you stop by, you will meet someone. If you are not a mason, the best chance to know more is.....to be 1, ask 1. Some open events that I've been to are the Holiday gatherings and Officer installations. My favorite events are the family events and the volunteer events they do. A big one is for the Shriner's Hospital of Hawaii. The help raise funds for the hospital's transportation fund. If you are guy who loves to help and be part of something, then maybe it's time you come down and ask about it :)

As soon as we walked in, the staff welcomed us with great energy and were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night. The karaoke setup was fantastic with a huge song selection and a great sound system that made everyone sound like a star. Whether you're a confident singer or just singing for fun, the crowd and staff make you feel comfortable getting up on stage. One thing that really stood out was the food--it was absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and way better than what you'd normally expect from a bar. The food alone makes this place worth visiting. Between the incredible staff, the fun karaoke atmosphere, and the delicious food, this place is easily one of the best spots for a night out. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to have a great time with good music, great people, and amazing food. I'll definitely be coming back! I obviously didn't plan this lol So we called a few places and I remembered seeing Hawaii Voice on the news and I was always inteigued about the experience of this place. We called and they could accommodate us right away. We headed there and they had the beautiful room all ready to go. The room was huge and clean! Decorations were colorful and bright. The couches were very comfortable and clean. The TVs were HUGE! They were the biggest screens I've ever had for karaoke. The system has plenty of features, and for some, it may be "too much". They offer they're own karaoke catalog system, an older karaoke system (no videos, just lyrics), and YouTube was also integrated. One of the karaoke systems was cool cause you could see the music videos and can sing along. The only thing we noticed for some songs, the synchronization of music and lyrics were off so just make sure you know the song, otherwise, you're gonna be a beat behind. Also, the YouTube system didn't allow ANY song to be sung. The system didn't support some well-known karaoke channels because of the video formats. Lastly, the choice of Japanese songs was bare, but that's not really a problem if you don't sing Japanese songs. They have drinks and food, but we only ordered drinks because we already ate...and we like alcohol. They had a fairly good selection for hards and beers. Sorry, I cannot give an opinion on food. Staff is awesome. We met the owner and he treated us so well. To squeeze us in on a Saturday was a treat, and also a lesson to us on better planning (well, my friends, not me because this wouldn't have happened lol). If you wanna sing karaoke with friends and let out some energy, give this place a try! It's beautiful and will make any karaoke experience fun!

808 sports league is a great opportunity for coed sports while socializing with different people…read moreyou haven't met and making new friends. My co-worker invited me to join this league which I paid $70 (early registration per person - it can be $80/person) for Fall 2017 coed volleyball. In Spring 2018 coed volleyball was $800/team for early registration. We had close to 9 people or so which everyone was okay paying. $87/person. Created our own team after we made friends with people and recruited more. Based on only knowing my coworker, they randomly put together my team of 13 people. Through this process, you can make friends from your team as well as from the other teams. I don't know how they decide placement of people, but I actually made friends (at least 7 people) with two opposing teams when we go to the bars after the games. Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 coed volleyball was sponsor by Champs (Sports bar) and Rock Bottom with other beer company (Pacifico and Corona) as these places give us discounts on those beers. I like Champs (Sports bar better) since they have more games and really good food. They always alternate each week of where the post-games are at. The regular season each in fall and spring had two "themes" and my team chose Power Rangers for "hero week" and "America" for "team week" A great way for people to be creative with their "theme" custome. Some teams will dress up prior to match and play in uniform or gym clothes We all got a shirt and each team is represented by a color of the same shirt. Wear your shirts if you want to get the sportsmanship score. It can be used as a tie breaker They allow selfies and the winner gets a $100 tab at a bar based on most people in the selfie, which my team only had maybe 4-5 at one bar and the rest is just 2 (my coworker and me), which we sometimes do selfies or photos with other teams. I wouldn't mind joining other sports this league offers such as: kickball, flag football and dodgeball. 2017 is their 10-year anniversary which our shirt from volleyball mentions. 2018 they went back to the style they used in past of what sport you're playing and what season and year on it. At least this league has some friendly people and some competitive, but it's mostly about having fun and meeting new people and socializing. They have playoffs which half the teams qualify for and if you win, money is donated to a local charity that the winner decides.

And after all those years, talking about 808 Sports Leagues and the kickball (and other sports) leagues they put together has never gotten old, especially trying to explain to tripped-out bar-goers on a Monday or Wednesday evening in Varsity or Rock Bottom why there are over 100 people walking around in off-beat, fluorescent or downright bright shirts ... Stranger/Future Kickballer: "So ... kickball?" Me: Yes! There's a league. And I'm on a team. S/FK: "I haven't played kickball since elementary school!" M: .... (Don't worry, we know every one hasn't. :) ) S/FK: (looks out over the sea of forest green, "WOW" pink and KOC blue shirts, among the many colors) "So, how many people are playing in this league?" M: Well, there's 24 teams, about 15-20 people per team, so you're looking at about 400+ adults playing kickball weekly. S/FK: "That's a lot of people. So, you guys have rules and everything? The red rubber ball?" M: Yup. Pretty much the same as schoolyard rules, except no one gets picked last, nah mean? And we even got playoffs and championships! S/FK: (looks around at the bar again, tries counting how many different color shirts) "So, you guys play, and then come out to the bar?" M: Yeah - it's all part of the experience. 20, 30, 40-somethings playing kickball, then chilling out at the bar. S/FK: "I'm sold. Where do I sign up?" ... Unfortunately, by the time we hit the bar in our red/green/blue/pink/orange/yellow/safety green shirts, rosters are closed for the season and you gotta wait to sign up for the next one. Sound fun yet? NO?! Well, read Justin U.'s review. "Great way to meet new people" is like the unofficial motto. Hey - relationships have been started and blossomed over the game of kickball - when's the last time that happened at a pick-up game of basketball? Kickball season runs from March to June, with sign-ups in January-February - don't be *THAT* guy that sees all the 808 Sports Leagues bright shirts and wants in after the ruckus starts! (And if you happen to miss it, there's usually a Fall season of some sport - Flag Football, another Kickball season or .... dodgeball?) SEE YOU OUT ON THAT KICKBALL FIELD!

Upon arrival, I mistakenly presented the wrong membership card. The front desk attendant responded by reprimanding me loudly and publicly, accusing me of attempting to use an invalid card rather than offering any assistance or basic courtesy. I was sent to membership services, where no effort was made to verify my status or provide a reasonable solution--only an instruction to leave and return with a different card. The lack of a simple verification process is concerning in itself. While addressing this issue, I witnessed another guest--a man accompanied by his wife and young daughter--being similarly embarrassed at the front desk for the same reason. This suggests a broader issue with how guests are treated, not an isolated lapse in judgment. Although another staff member eventually offered a practical solution that allowed me to verify my membership, the experience up to that point was unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. Unfortunately, the restaurant service was no better. An older male server with a visible limp ignored direct questions and, when approached a second time, responded abruptly and rudely, telling me to "wait" in an aggressive tone. This behavior was entirely inappropriate. Additionally, an older woman seated nearby felt entitled to get up from her table and interrupt me as I am placing my food order by loudly demanding attention from staff in a disruptive and discourteous manner, further contributing to an uncomfortable and chaotic environment. While one server later attempted to recover the situation with professionalism, the overall experience was marked by hostility, poor communication, and a clear lack of respect toward guests. And the food was not good. For $18 tuna sandwich and lobster bisque I expected more than just a 711 type of meal. I'm beyond disappointed- the only good thing was the view of the ocean and sun was out yesterday. This visit did not reflect the values of courtesy, respect, and fellowship that the Elks organization is meant to uphold. Significant improvements in staff conduct and guest relations are clearly needed.
