Painting in Kaneohe, Hawaii…read more.. Paint nights have been happening for years and this is the first time that I got a chance to experience one. Thanks to Jessica and Jules for planning this group activity and organizing us! Before Jessica moves to the mainland, there were a few things that she wanted to do together and one of them was painting. She selected this picture of a waterfall with a flowering tree and butterflies because the other pictures looked "touristy"... haha! The venue (The Beach House) was a local bar in my neighborhood. It was convenient for me since I live and work in Kaneohe. I knew where it was (next to Windward Mall) and that there was free parking...and a restroom with curtains instead of walls to designate separate stalls! Tip: Just lock the door for privacy! Don't let anyone else in with you, ladies! Our instructor, Kate, was awesome! She was so bubbly, informative, and reassuring. I have never painted before and I have always wanted to try. I was afraid of the outcome...lol! This was a super great experience! All of the supplies were provided. Kate and her assistant, Lei, set up and cleaned up for us! We had a blast - and a finished product to remind us of a happy memory. Gosh, Jessica... I'm starting to really miss you already... waaahhh! (Crying a waterfall now...) =( P.S. Our group had a spectrum of ages and skill levels all of whom left happy. Administratively, I was the church representative coordinating with Gwenaelle. I am happy to report that scheduling, payment, and technical aspects of a paint party by Zoom were simple and seamless. Five Stars! Strongly recommend!

Wanted to try them out so scheduled one of their 15min sessions. Admittedly, arrived 10 min late…read more (no parking so we were driving around for over 15min). Reschedule policy was the same price as our individual package. Cancellation policy was more than the price of one of us. It's a very expensive policy. And they definitely don't care if you come back or not. I would not recommend. Seems like a bad idea to have very frustrating policies in place for a Rage Room. ;)

Tried Out a Rage Room for the First Time - Totally Worth It!…read more I've been hearing about this rage room for a while and finally decided to check it out. I called ahead to ask about any discounts for locals or birthdays, and they told me they do offer a local discount with valid ID -- nice little bonus! They also said they had availability that day, so I figured, why not? The whole experience was super satisfying. Ever feel like breaking something at work but don't want to get fired? Break n Anger is the place to let that urge out safely and legally. Here's how it works: You get to choose 2 items from the top shelf and 5 items each from shelves 2, 3, and 4 -- so about 17 items total to smash. After signing the waivers, you suit up in a jumpsuit, gloves, and a helmet. They offer earplugs too, but I skipped those -- the sound of breaking stuff is half the fun. Honestly, the time flew by -- I went all in for 10 minutes and it felt like seconds. I probably should've paced myself, but I really wanted to let the rage out. No regrets though -- it was super fun, and I can totally see this being a great team-building activity. I'm definitely planning to go back and try the premium items next time!

Definitely would recommend as a fun afternoon because it was totally non-intimidating. It's a great way to just relax and socialize with a varied group of women !

Claire is a great teacher, very patient with the students and made everyone comfortable no matter their artistic ability (or lack thereof in my case). The park class setup was cute and felt very cozy with the cushions and tables. Everything was all set up nicely. I will book many more events, I'm already looking for another day on the calendar!

Definitely a unique experience where everyone was present and engaged, which was a breath of fresh air in this day and age. My middle school aged son even loved it and was so into his painting that he created a back story for it. Loved how everyone's art turned out differently and how everyone felt pride at the end.
