It is located in a beautiful and lush area on Queen Emma Street near the Queen's Hospital...fit for a...QUEEN! Lol, playing with words here! This place is quaint and quite lovely. Actually, I can imagine a Queen coming here to relax, socialize and dine here. I really enjoyed coming here...probably my first...and my last time here. Unless, I get invited here again...HINT HINT! The Pacific Club is a private club for Members ONLY! I was fortunate enough to be invited to my friend's graduation party at this venue. Upon arrival, I was amazed with the ambiance! The open air concept of the club is so peaceful, serene and relaxing! Love, love, love that! We were in the...MANGOS dining area. Of course, surrounded by mango trees! What a perfect place to chill, gather, drink, eat and be merry with friends and family! Here's what I enjoyed: CAESAR SALAD: so ono! I only had 3 servings of this, lol. One of my favorite for the evening! KALUA PIG BAO BUNS: very delish. I had seconds on this. SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP with PITA CHIPS: delicious, but very rich. POTSTICKERS: pretty good...your typical dumplings PRIME RIB: yummy for my tummy. I enjoyed this twice. BREAD PUDDING with a cream sauce: this was yummy and decadent. I loved this, too. 10/20/25 Came here for a group luncheon today and also my first time here. Our luncheon was scheduled at 11AM and there was lots of parking available. The grounds are well kept and there is a covered drive-way at the entrance to the club for drop-offs. When you walk in, there is a feeling of coziness. The main reception area is very welcoming with comfortable seating, plants and a beautiful painting of the Waimea Canyon. To the left of the entrance and past the reception desk, there is library room filled with books and seating. Our luncheon was held in the Card room. There were about 40 of us in attendance. This room also gives you the feeling of comfort and welcome. The buffet was situated on tables along the windows. The food was good. There were 2 entrees - roasted chicken, shitake hoisin cream sauce and furikake crusted salmon with wasabi butter sauce. The salmon had nice flavor, not overcooked or dry and even though there was wasabi in the sauce, it wasn't a lot to be spicy. The chicken was boneless and skinless thighs, also not dry to the taste and the sauce complemented the chicken perfectly. Other items on the buffet line were caesar salad, fresh made rolls, tomato-mozzarella salad, huge fruit bowl, steamed vegetables, fried rice, and a separate dessert table. There were 3 - mini chocolate cake, apple tart, and bread pudding. The apple tart was good and the bread pudding with the sauce was ono. I didn't care for the fried rice because there were too many vegetables in it and not a local-style type fried rice. It is a nice venue to have a function and it seems to be a popular place. I noticed when we entered the building there were several functions scheduled on their events board for the rest of the day. I don't know if they were shorthanded but the wait staff did not come around to refill water glasses or iced tea. There was a table set up for coffee or tea so apparently it was self-serve after they give you the first glass. But the whole 2 hours there, no one had come by to fill our water glasses. And they seemed a little slow at removing used plates from the tables. Restrooms were very clean and had nice touches like mouthwash dispenser with paper cups and wash cloth towels to dry your hands vs paper towels. What a great place to enjoy lunch with colleagues or business partners! It's conveniently located just outside of Downtown Honolulu so it's in the vicinity of the business district, but away from the hustle and bustle of it all. The Pacific Club is members only and you will most likely run into Honolulu's top executives and associates. Parking seemed plentiful, but I've heard it gets packed for weekend events as it also serves as a popular venue for parties. They not only have a restaurant, but they also have nice meeting spaces. The ambiance is great. Unlike other members only venues in Downtown, the restaurant wasn't a stuffy area with 4 walls. It's an open air area where you can enjoy the surrounding greenery and fresh air. It did get humid after a while so thank God they have celling fans. I went for lunch and had a hard time deciding what to eat. ALL of the specials our server offered us sounded amazing. There was a salad special, a salmon special, and a sandwich special. My first reflex would have been to go for the salmon. However, our server let us know that they were almost out of the salmon. Because I didn't want to get disappointed if she couldn't get my salmon order in on time, I opted for the salad special which contained seared ahi, so close enough, I guess. While we waited for our entrees, we enjoyed house bread and lavosh. Lavosh. Don't skip the lavosh! It was a busy day and most tables were full so it took a while for lunch to arrive but you know, when you're having an important business lunch, the waiting game is key since this is usually the time for important discussions. I was completely satisfied with my entree choice. The seared ahi was served on a bed of arugula and penne pasta, green and red bell peppers, and red onions. It was tossed in a garlic anchovy dressing. I could've lived without the pasta, which was maybe a minute shy of being au dente. But I ate every last bite of the salad anyway. The service was great. Our water glasses were constantly being refilled, and we were offered dessert at the end of the meal. I come here for pickleball tournaments and always enjoy my time at pacific club. Excellent customer service, well maintained pickleball courts, bathrooms, pool, and gym! Lots of parking at the club and it's right off of punch bowl. The terrace has sandwiches, I got the mahi sandwich which was actually very good. I like the sauce was on the side so you can control how much you want. The fries are very crispy. Can't wait to come back to the pacific club for more events! read more

I was invited to a beautiful luncheon here hosted by one of my past bosses. The ambiance is beautiful and very classy. I ordered the pacific salmon dish and it came on a bed of quinoa salad. I loved it! Prior to the main dish, I had a Caesar salad and that was delicious too. The bread pudding was superb! I wanted to eat the entire piece but was so full. Had a chance to visit Mangos while enjoying live jazz music! It was a really great experience. Luckily, Mangos is casual since I did not bring any formal clothes with me. Dining was under a tent on the grass. Staff was friendly and attentive. Forgot to take a picture of the menu, but I ordered a vegetarian bowl which was surprisingly filling and delicious! The greens were fresh and all the different textures made the bowl very refreshing and light :) All in all, the experience was great. The band playing that night was a real treat! read more

This place is elegant, distinguished, & sophisticated exclusive club I wish I was a member... but at least I'm thankful I have many opportunities to visit. They have wonderful staff with impeccable service that they make you feel right at home and known. Everything I had there have been great! From eggs Benedict to their daily specials, there's nothing that's not great. I've had Cobb salad & grilled salmon most recently and I really loved them as well. So if you have an opportunity to visit (or join), this place is a winner. As for the facilities, they're equipped with small meeting room to a large event area. Wait staff will cater to you & your guest with top notch service. Though I have not visited, there are sports facilities like tennis courts. The location of the club is the me of the most convenient as it's in the heart of town but not in the busiest area. My awesome former boss is a member. Every year she'd take us to lunch at the end of the year for a "thank you" and "happy holidays" meal. Her favorite place used to be Kincaid's, which is since replaced by The Pacific Club. I've been fortunate to have had several lunches and couple of dinners here as her guest. If you've never been here, it's easy to miss because the property is fenced and surrounded by shrubbery. And it's hard to imagine that a classy place like this exists in a neighborhood that's not quite as classy. The interior is charming in an vintage-y way-- lots of wood and mostly open-air. The decor hasn't changed in the many years I've visited. (I also used to work here over ten years ago as banquet/temp server for private events like meetings and weddings, which were always classy too.) I believe they may also have a library? (Honestly I think this place was probably designed for men members only back in the day.) I've never been to the tennis courts, pool, or gym, but as a guest, I've been to the main dining room and the card room. The club staff and servers are all very polite. They're dressed neatly in uniform and wear a name tag. They're expected to recognize each member by sight and address them by their title. It's really quite impressive, considering how many members come and go at any given time. Even more so during COVID-19 time when everyone's masked up. I can see that this is a great place for entertaining business associates. Looks like most of the member demographic are older. The food is usually good but today's lunch wasn't great, but it's fine. I came to catch up without the crowds, the food is bonus. :) I had the crab salad and soup of the day but perhaps should have ordered the daily specials (I imagine they'd focus on those more?) There is no cash transaction; members sign a slip with the total and they pay that amount along with their monthly dues in their monthly statements. (My boss offered to sponsor me but $$$$$ so no thanks!!) Since this place is fine dining but in a casual setting, there's a dress code: must dress smart-- no shorts, slippers, athletic shoes, tank tops, etc. Aloha attire is acceptable. Have to maintain the classiness! I believe talking on the cell phone in the main dining room is also not allowed! Since it's life in the time of COVID-19, the dining tables were set up a fair distance apart, and my boss told me that they allow no more than five diners per table. And no more than three persons in the restrooms (we peered inside to make sure before barging in). There were plexiglass shields at the reception and dining room hostess station. Looks like the Club takes the safety seriously. Parking is quite plentiful. The lot was pretty empty today, and I almost parked at the Members Only stall! Coz those are usually taken! Watch out and park at unmarked stalls! They have valet service but I didn't see any today. Great place to go and enjoy as a guest! read more

I'm not a member but I was invited to hear Chris Vandercook and his band play in the courtyard. Five of us enjoyed libations, good food and good music under the stars. We started with cocktails (Vieux Carre, Empress gin & tonic, beer, something with gin that looked like a martini and a virgin Pina Colada), Crispy Green Bean Tempura and Crispy Kim Chee Calamari. This was the first time I had the green beans ... wow! How can something so simple be so good? Entrees included two Deli Meats Pizzas, a Pulled Beef Brisket Sandwich and Creamy Pesto Linguini. The food was delicious and the quite a few of the patrons were enjoying the music and dancing on the lawn. Chris Vandercook and his band played two sets and it was so good to hear live music .... nothing beats live music! I was sorry to see them stop at 9:30pm but all good things must end ... She walked through every step of the process and let us do walk through a a couple of times to make sure everything detail was accounted for. The day of the event, everything was set up perfectly and I didn't have to worry about anything. She took care of the finer details that we didn't even think about. My boss is a member and invited a bunch of us here for lunch. We dined in a private room which he reserved, and pre-ordered our meal from a limited private menu prepared for us. There were 14 of us in the room, it was spacious, and we all sat on one long table. Service was top notch, just as you would expect from a members only club facility. Very professional, they popped in briefly and quickly only to serve us our meals and promptly went behind closed doors to give us our privacy. We had no time to ask for any extras or corrections to our order, you just have to wait until they serve the next course. And the food! I had the chicken Caesar salad, it was enough for 2 hungry Caesar salad lovers. Super delicious, the roman was cut small, as you would a cobb salad so it's easy to eat and socialize. The roman lettuce was cut small, as you would a cobb salad. It was perfectly dressed with the creamy Caesar dressing, and lots of chicken pieces and croutons included throughout. For dessert, I got a chocolate cake with vanilla bean ice cream. The chocolate cake was so rich that the ice cream was needed. So rich that it was impossible to finish the whole piece of cake. Not being members ourselves, we were lucky enough to be invited for a birthday dinner celebration here. The club is what I would call posh but not in a formal way. Aloha attire is appropriate but not the shorts and slippers kind. I worea dressand hubby wore short sleeved aloha shirt and slacks. We went on a Wednesday so we were lucky enough to enjoy the all you can eat prime rib for dinner which came with a baked potato and toppings to choose from. Prime rib was juicy prepared to your liking. Slices were big though so we really couldn't eat that much. We enjoyed the ambience and dream one day we can be invited back. read more

First off, I'm not a member of this private club...but I have been fortunate enough to have been invited to a couple of events here. Servers are very professional and polite. It almost feels like I'm in one of those movies at an elite club where rich people play polo and hang out at. I've eaten in one of the rooms indoors and also outside near the tennis court. Although the venue outdoors would be nice to eat at during the night. There is a pool but I haven't seen anyone swimming during my visits. I don't recall seeing valet during the day since I walked over from my workplace but at night there was valet. I may be Elite on Yelp, but just not at that level in my career to become a member. The other thing I might mention is that a lot of other clubs in Honolulu have not down a good job in keeping up with renovations. The facilities are in excellent shape. My wife and I were invited to dinner at the Pacific Club by some friends. We were in the outdoor covered seating area, which was perfect for the cool and dry weather that night. We started off with some cocktails. They make a very good martini and old fashion. The appetizers were excellent, our table had the escargot, the foie gras, and the grilled octopus. The lobster bisque and the beat salad was also excellent. For main courses we had the bone marrow, ribeye, scallops, ono and lamb chops. There were no complaints. We finished our meal with some fresh fruits and creme brûlée along with some espresso and brandy. It was an end to a very nice evening. read more

I had the opportunity to dine at the little restaurant called mango inside the Pacific Club. It still amazes me that this oasis in downtown Honolulu exists. It's swanky and classy and lush, while a couple blocks away homeless people set up camp. Anyway, my friend, a member of the pacific club was nice enough to treat some of us to dinner at Mango. They have a new cocktail menu (the lilikoi cocktail was sweet and delicious!) as well as a very very extensive wine menu. While we were there, bottles of French wine were 10% off and it seemed like these special discounts are common. The food menu included a lot of pupus and salads and sandwiches, but also some entrees. We ate two orders of the chicken wings, they were that good, a Cobb salad, the spring rolls, the sashimi, the quesadillas and the rib eye. The food was good. I definitely liked the Cobb salad and the chicken wings. The rib eye was just ok, so I would stick to the appetizers next time. The service was a little strange. The highlights of the spread: two omelette stations, waffles, eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, shrimp cocktail, sashimi, assorted cheeses, steamed fish chinese style, seafood cioppino, and the DESSERTS - bread pudding, strawberry shortcake, coconut cake, cream puffs, eclairs, assorted cakes. The food was excellent and our plates were cleared in a timely manner. The only thing I didn't like were the flies that were swarming around some of the food stations, but that's to be expected when you have an outdoor buffet. From the salad to the main course, meat or fish, to the desserts. Everything is well-sized and tasty. The venue is beautiful. Hard to believe you are so near to all the hustle and bustle of downtown. Even the parking lot is magical with all the lights in the trees. If you get an offer by a member to go, go. You won't be disappointed. Having a company meeting here from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today. The Catering Staff, especially Lori M., are so easy to work with and very accommodating. The Card Room was set-up and ready for our meeting. Both Millie(?), the Dining Manager, and the wait staff were very helpful with any changes that I requested. Granted, it's a lovely setting, only I was not given a menu, the waitress forgot my order, and the hot water pot was so filled to the brim it spilled everywhere but into the cup on first and second pours. Worst, the spill left a water stain that resembled misshapen butt cheeks where my plate should've been. For some reason, that mesmerized me the rest of the breakfast. Then, when the rest of my order finally arrived, everyone else at the table had finished their meals and were ready to leave. Expensive, but I guess that's expected. After all, it is an exclusive members only type club. You get what you pay for. The appetizers we ordered came out quickly. Good thing because I was starved. I didn't want to waste all my appetite on the bread and lavash... I can't even remember everything we ordered because there was a TON of food. A ton of food not because there was 5 of us, no. We just ordered a lot, and I can definitely throw down. I think we had escargot, a sampler thing with 3 different dishes including ceviche, and something else that was tasty. For my entree I got the lamb, medium rare. It came out perfect: tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked very nicely. I could have eaten another order if I wasn't so full and dying for some dessert aka bananas foster. Dessert definitely put me over the edge. I was already filling up from the appetizers and main course... But I had to have some bananas foster. Made fresh right in front of our table, what a way to end a meal. :) And with vanilla ice cream... Bliss, I tell you. I finished up some of my family's leftovers and was rolled out to my car. What a great night. :) I would definitely recommend Pacific Club, especially if you don't mind spending a pretty penny or two. The food and service here are on point. I just had my son's 1st birthday here. Amy was so great to work with! She took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns (and there were MANY), my changes and help me to work within my budget. We rented the Mangos area as well as the lawn. There is a minimum food and beverage amount that you need to meet in order to not pay an additional labor charge. Amy laid out my party beautifully in terms of guest tables, activity tables and other. A few days before the party with the prediction of rain, Amy was able to change my layout as we wanted to be "better safe than sorry". The only bummer is that I had so many decorations that the 1-hour guest setup time was a little too short. The staff was wonderfuly, helpful and offered awesome service. Chef Eric cooked up awesome burgers, fries, green eggs and ham (Dr. Seuss theme!), etc... and on top of that, we had a really great malasada station!! YUM! Guests were really impressed with the party and I attribute a great deal of that to the shear beauty of the location. Celebrating third generation wine maker Dick Vermeil's family vineyard tonight, at the Pacific Club. Most people would know Coach Vermeil from his NFL/ Super Bowl days. Not many would know that he is actually the grand son of the founder of his family's vineyards in Calistoga. "Intimate" dinner tonight in the main dining room included: Salmon mouse bruschetta to start served with a more than delicious Chardonnay ( I usually dislike white) but very much enjoyed this glass. Next came escargot and mushrooms in a cream sauce served in puff pastry. My fave wine of the evening, a 2015 Zinfandel. Only 96 cases produced, so I felt quite privileged to have some, and loved it. The best dish of the evening came next, hoisin braised pork belly. Cooked 'sous vide' braised in its own juices then vacuum sealed to intensify the flavor. With a crispy skin and served with a XXXIV red wine blend. For those of you football fans in the know, this represented the coaches Super Bowl 34 win. Short ribs served with olive mashed potatoes and artichoke fricassee was next. Served with a rich Cabernet Sauvignon. My second favorite wine of the evening. Ended with a naked black forest cake. Light, not too sweet with delicious cream and cherries on top. Served with a dessert wine, called Compassion. Thank you to executive Chef Erik Leterc and sommelier Taro Kurobe for an excellent menu.
