This place was phenomenal. Wow! The ocean view. We could not have sat any closer to the water. The cocktails were amazing. And the food was even better. Our server Bryan was on it! He gave us exceptional service. 12/10.

Elks club still an amazing place for drinks and dining with fabulous views. They make their own beet/vegetarian patties and drinks are not overpriced.

Came here for lunch. Great hospitality and such history of this Waikiki Elks 616, dating back to 1901! Lunch menu has a wide variety of pupu's, sandwiches, entrees and desserts. Garlic shrimp was delicious, chef salt, BLT, clam chowder, vegetarian options from a house-made veggie burger to vegan bowls, were delicious! Brownie sundae and lemongrass crème brûlée are a must. Great tasting Mai tai's too! Service is attentive and friendly, can't wait to go back for dinner!!

I am so happy to be an ELK! We always have so much fun here and always get Excellent Customer Service. Thank you Chris for EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. You serviced every table in your section with a smile and lightning speed! He was actually jogging. It was amazing to see his body in constant motion!

    It's beautiful out here!

The Honolulu Elks Lodge is amazing. We've only been Elks a few months now, so this is only the 2nd one we've been in, but completely blown away. Right on Waikiki Beach, the setting could not be any better. If has a wonderful bar area and a lot of very nice tables. We came in for lunch- the service was spot on. They have a great beer selection, a full bar and the food was delicious. So good, it made me think about moving to Honolulu!

The food at Elks is what you would expect coming from a country club. Not bad, not good, just ok. My pork chops sauce was pretty salty, while my boyfriend's lamb chop sauce was pretty sweet. The seared ahi was good so I would recommend that. Elks restaurant is good for large parties, if you're a member of course, however be aware that they do have events on some days so it can get pretty crowded & also pretty loud. If you're looking for something more intimate I wouldn't recommend Elks, but I do see the appeal if you're a member & are in Waikiki as a tourist.

3 stars for the food, 5 stars for the vibes. I used to come here all the time as a kid, jumping from the pool to hunting for opihi on the little beach and swimming out to the nearby catamarans. From numerous birthday parties to my high school graduation party- they were all held here. I recently came here for lunch with my dad and while the service was great, the food was really not great at all. For pupus we got the sashimi and spicy ahi poke - which was served with sweet potato chips- probably the best dish we had! The fish n' chips on the other hand... the battered fish wasn't crispy at all and the fries were rather sad. I'm a fries girl, and I rarely leave fries on the table - but this time I had 3-5 fries and went "ehh, not worth it". We also had the nicoise salad, the salmon on it was good but the acid level on everything else was too much- olives, cappers, and HUGE pieces of tomato on top of a costco spring mix that I know all too well. The service was amazing though, our server Kelci was so sweet and kept on refilling our waters long after our meal. I hadn't seen my dad in nearly 4 months and we had a lot to catch up with so it was so nice that since it's a club setting that we didn't feel rushed to leave right after our meal. The views were absolutely incredible, nothing beats unobstructed views of the waves. The restaurant has that open air concept so you get that indoor-outdoor feel. Which also means birds fly in and are pretty confident and will try to get your food if you're not super assertive. Tip: Guest parking is now $8 for the day

Elks Club, couldn't ask for a more perfect venue for our College Reunion Gala Banquet! Not knowing exactly how large a banquet room we would need we reserved the larger one. And even though the smaller one could have housed our smaller number, the room ended up being perfect for our group of 50ish. We had enough room to set up a nice reception and sign in area. We had room to have prizes and grab bags in a separate area. There was room for our slide show presentation. And besides the buffet setup and dining tables, we even had room for a hula lesson! Loved that the banquet room, located on the second floor had an extended oceanfront patio for group photos and viewing of the Friday fireworks off the Hilton Hawaiian property across the water. And the food... chosen was a Hawaiian banquet menu which was served in abundance: green salad, lomi salmon, chicken long rice, white rice, laulau, kalua pig, haupia, pineapple with addon to the menu of mahi in butter caper sauce and teriyaki chicken. Was it too much food? Absolutely! Was it memorably delicious? Undeniably. Made even more special by the reunion of old friends.

You can't beat the ambiance here. On a nice day, there's no better place to sit poolside and enjoy a meal. The food and service is okay. The front desk is sometimes great and sometimes ridiculous. I feel like we get harassed sometimes by the lady at the front. It doenst hurt to just be kind sometimes! Other than her, most people there are helpful and kind.

Elks outdoor patio with plenty of seating.

The best Elk Lodge I had visited. The views, ambiance of the open lodge, and lots of seating around the pool. Perfect thanksgiving vacation 2025. To top it off I had the most amazing lamb dinner MAGA portions ever. Talk about memorable 10

We were invited by one of our new friends that is a member of this club. We met him in Hawaii, and I heard so much about Elks clubs both sides of the story. My experience at Elks club in Waikiki is very nice plus the view here is very romantic, beautiful with the warm sunset. Food is good, service is friendly except the front lady at the entrance before we enter into the building. Live music and people are dancing, very laid back and easy. I wish I didn't have a meal before, so I was still full at that time, so I only try snack and couple drinks, but it was so wonderful.

However, the experience ended in a way that made me uncomfortable. After we finished our meal, a young female busser with long brown hair approached our table and asked my boyfriend for a ride home. We were clearly dining together as a couple, so the request felt inappropriate and unprofessional for a staff member to make to a guest. Situations where staff ask guests for personal favors or transportation can place diners in an awkward position and blur normal guest-staff boundaries. I did speak with a manager about the situation and was told it would be looked into and that they would follow up with me tomorrow, which I appreciate. I'm sharing this feedback so management is aware and can address it internally.

My co-worker invited me to join this league which I paid $70 (early registration per person - it can be $80/person) for Fall 2017 coed volleyball. In Spring 2018 coed volleyball was $800/team for early registration. We had close to 9 people or so which everyone was okay paying. $87/person. Created our own team after we made friends with people and recruited more. Based on only knowing my coworker, they randomly put together my team of 13 people. Through this process, you can make friends from your team as well as from the other teams. I don't know how they decide placement of people, but I actually made friends (at least 7 people) with two opposing teams when we go to the bars after the games. Fall 2017 and Spring 2018 coed volleyball was sponsor by Champs (Sports bar) and Rock Bottom with other beer company (Pacifico and Corona) as these places give us discounts on those beers. I like Champs (Sports bar better) since they have more games and really good food. They always alternate each week of where the post-games are at. The regular season each in fall and spring had two "themes" and my team chose Power Rangers for "hero week" and "America" for "team week" A great way for people to be creative with their "theme" custome. Some teams will dress up prior to match and play in uniform or gym clothes We all got a shirt and each team is represented by a color of the same shirt. Wear your shirts if you want to get the sportsmanship score. It can be used as a tie breaker They allow selfies and the winner gets a $100 tab at a bar based on most people in the selfie, which my team only had maybe 4-5 at one bar and the rest is just 2 (my coworker and me), which we sometimes do selfies or photos with other teams. I wouldn't mind joining other sports this league offers such as: kickball, flag football and dodgeball. 2017 is their 10-year anniversary which our shirt from volleyball mentions. 2018 they went back to the style they used in past of what sport you're playing and what season and year on it. At least this league has some friendly people and some competitive, but it's mostly about having fun and meeting new people and socializing. They have playoffs which half the teams qualify for and if you win, money is donated to a local charity that the winner decides.

And after all those years, talking about 808 Sports Leagues and the kickball (and other sports) leagues they put together has never gotten old, especially trying to explain to tripped-out bar-goers on a Monday or Wednesday evening in Varsity or Rock Bottom why there are over 100 people walking around in off-beat, fluorescent or downright bright shirts ... Stranger/Future Kickballer: "So ... kickball?" Me: Yes! There's a league. And I'm on a team. S/FK: "I haven't played kickball since elementary school!" M: .... (Don't worry, we know every one hasn't. :) ) S/FK: (looks out over the sea of forest green, "WOW" pink and KOC blue shirts, among the many colors) "So, how many people are playing in this league?" M: Well, there's 24 teams, about 15-20 people per team, so you're looking at about 400+ adults playing kickball weekly. S/FK: "That's a lot of people. So, you guys have rules and everything? The red rubber ball?" M: Yup. Pretty much the same as schoolyard rules, except no one gets picked last, nah mean? And we even got playoffs and championships! S/FK: (looks around at the bar again, tries counting how many different color shirts) "So, you guys play, and then come out to the bar?" M: Yeah - it's all part of the experience. 20, 30, 40-somethings playing kickball, then chilling out at the bar. S/FK: "I'm sold. Where do I sign up?" ... Unfortunately, by the time we hit the bar in our red/green/blue/pink/orange/yellow/safety green shirts, rosters are closed for the season and you gotta wait to sign up for the next one. Sound fun yet? NO?! Well, read Justin U.'s review. "Great way to meet new people" is like the unofficial motto. Hey - relationships have been started and blossomed over the game of kickball - when's the last time that happened at a pick-up game of basketball? Kickball season runs from March to June, with sign-ups in January-February - don't be *THAT* guy that sees all the 808 Sports Leagues bright shirts and wants in after the ruckus starts! There are no exceptions for late applications. I was lucky enough to get into a Monday evening class on the wheel. Classes are 3 hours long and our instructor was great. Every week we went over a new style, technique, or concept. Also, the classes are for all levels of potters. There were people who had never thrown clay before to people who have been doing this for years. Students have access to the guild during the week to come in and work on their projects as well! Clay is purchased from the guild and tools are also available for purchase. Everyone in the studio is extremely helpful and very willing to teach. Over this summer I've learned so much from not only my teacher, but also my peers. The community of artists at the Hawaii Potter's Guild is truly a unique group that cultivates a love and passion for creating. This is definitely not a goodbye HPG, but a see you soon.

I sped by this place for years and finally discovered them one day participating at the Empty Bowls fundraiser. Classes generally take place quarterly, but you've got to keep an eye on them--they fill up fast! I am currently taking the beginner level throwing class. The instructor, Gerald Toyama, is patient and always there to help his students. He shares his tips and tricks and is great at providing alternative methods to achieve the same effect. The members of the guild are very friendly and supportive. So far, I've really enjoyed my experience at this guild and am looking forward to taking many more classes with them.
