Entrance. Small parking lot shared with the VA.
    Danna E.

The reviews I read prior to picking this location and not only it being  in close proximity to my home, gave me reassurance that today was a good day to do this, day after a holiday. Mid morning. What was said in a review about that short and  tatted Asian guy "guarding" the front was on point. Rude and no personality. I definitely did not like the impression I got from him.  Sorry for confirming about checking in bc I was lost coming in as my first time here. Get a new job elsewhere if you're miserable here! Misery does not need company!  After checking in at the self serve kiosk next to the guard by the entrance-- I sat for about 3 mins, enough to notice about 4 other persons sitting or being helped in front of me. Then I got called in to window number 3 and the admin was personable and professional compared to the guard. It helped I completed my application online and got my receipt for a Social Security card renewal. (To be received in the mail in about 2 weeks). Total time of assistance was under 5 mins. Thank you Lance! P.S. Lance said it hasn't been busy lately, FYI! Small parking lot shared with the VA.

Personality of social security has been extremely rude. I think it should be more empathy

Long wait, too many people, service is very slow. I guess because it is run by the government.

Do I need an appointment to get verification code?

An appointment isn't required, but you should have a shorter wait if you have one. I went (without an appointment) for a verification code at 2pm one afternoon and was out by 4pm.

Public shaming has become extremely bad and a huge issue. No matter where you go, people will throw passive aggressive jabs even for asking a simple question that can in no common sense way be considered offensive. I've also endured a lot of racist and judgmental interactions by minorities, which I think is pretty hypocritical. It's like no one has any decency or a sense of civility anymore. Every time I go outside my house I am getting traumatized over and over again by reckless drivers, rude employees in stores and medical offices, and pretty much any interaction you can think of. I get laughed at by random strangers who literally don't know how to mind their own business. It feels like I'm getting mobbed.

If you write him on a Monday he won't respond until Friday and vaguely at that. He was so hard to contact. He made the preparation process very difficult and added more stress. When we had a one on one in person, this man showed no interest while presenting the hall. He seemed like he had better things to do. No politeness, no smiling whatsoever, no kindness. Rushed us through the layout options, we emailed him two weeks before the wedding the finalized layout and he didn't respond until the night before the wedding. After telling us he would work with us due to the time he still didn't have the right set up on the day of. My husband fixed it the day of. Terrible customer service on his part. We had a slideshow, requested his assistance and never returned with the wire for the slideshow to play on the projector. You shouldn't be working for a community center if you're not helpful to your community. Rude. Disgustingly distasteful with your communication. The space itself earned the two stars, that guy Matthew ruined my wedding prep. Super annoying. I wouldn't treat people that way.

You can take as many pictures as you want outside but no pictures of the interior so I added some I found online. This is what makes this design unique compared to other FLW works: -Hexagons/honeycomb, back in 1936 imagine the precision that had to be done by hand to make the huge structure a honeycomb as well as small details like the stone tiles. (1) A decade ago, driving on El Camino Real late at night with very few cars on the road, a MV police cruiser started a lane change into my lane without signaling. I tapped the brakes, and the officer aborted his lane change. We both stopped at the traffic light. When the light changed, since there was no vehicle behind me, I waited a few seconds to step on the gas in order to give the officer a chance to get ahead of me. Instead, he turned on his lights, pulled me over, and asked if I had been drinking. In, the moment, it was challenging to explain without mentioning his failure to signal. (2) Five years ago, I moved to my current home, a block off of El Camino Real. I couldn't sleep and took a walk at midnight. A police cruiser pulled over next to me, and a lovely female African American female officer asked if I was okay. I explained I was taking a walk, and she left. (3) Tonight, I wanted to charge my electric vehicle at the grocery store, but all the chargers were taken. So I left my vehicle to charge at a car dealership on El Camino Real. When I came back to get it just after midnight, I found that the dealer had blocked off access on both exits. In walking back and forth through the parking lot, I triggered some motion detectors, because a very grainy security recording started playing. It sounded threatening but I couldn't make out the words except for "security." So I called MV police station's non-emergency number. I explained the situation, and asked the woman whether it was okay for me to leave, since I was not committing a crime and I couldn't understand the recorded broadcast, which was a private message and not a police message. She said "I don't know, I'm not there." I explained I just needed to know whether it would be better for the police or security to show up, or if I could leave on foot. "I don't know, I'm not there." Could she please send a police car? "No; none are available because of an emergency." Okay, then. I hung up, and left on foot. * * * Three encounters isn't much, but the first and third really don't inspire confidence. I would consider avoiding El Camino Real at night, but that's hard to do since I live here.
