Trussville, TN is a city in the suburbs of Birmingham with a population of about 22,000. They've…read moreconsistently been listed on various publications including Money magazine as one of the most livable places in America. The downtown historic area is listed in the National Historic Registry for historical sites. This city hall houses the Mayor's office, the police department, the municipal courts, clerk's office, business licenses, zoning and subdivision information. For more information http://trussville.org/ There are two markers on this property that I could see. The first is in front of the city hall. It reads: Trussville The town of Trussvile was named for the Truss family who emigrated from North Carolina in the early 1820's. Trussville was incorporated in 1947. The present city hall was constructed in 1959 on land patented in 1821 by Warren Truss. The second marker looks to be a poem. It reads The Gateway to Happy Living Trussville is a marvelous town. The Gateway to Happy Living. Its people will not let you down; They're known for generous giving. Trussville has that quaint, village feel, And small town hospitality. Where love and kindness are so real. And there's peace and tranquility. A town of churches, parks and schools. The place that's best to raise children. Where they are taught to keep the rules And to be a good citizen. A town where fun is common place. With lots of wholesome recreation. A town renowned for charm and grace And its people's dedication. A small city with lots of pride. And a large city's advantage, Where the best folk on earth reside, And fulfill their great heritage, The greatest town upon this earth, Chock-full of people of good will, It's hard to tell how much it's worth To raise a family in Trussville. Shame on the City of Trussville for having too many people assigned to a tiny precinct location for…read morethe 2020 Presidential Election. You knew this would be record turn out and given the fact that Alabama refuses to allow early voting, you knew there would be long lines. You like to boast about the tremendous growth that Trussville has seen over the past 5-10 years, but that also means updating things that you maybe only think about, oh, let's say.. every 4 years. I really hope you take this situation and make changes before the next election... 3.5 hours of waiting in line was entirely too long.

Got fried green tomato Benedict with salmon for brunch. Absolutely delicious. Beautiful place. Good…read moreservice. Got free champagne because our food took a little longer to come out even though it didn't feel that long to us. This place is on the fancier side - a place I might take out of town guests. I would highly suggest getting a reservation. Will definitely be back!

Chile please keep your money. This place (in my opinion) has little bang for a big buck. The…read moreservice was great so if it was solely based on that I'd give them a 5 star. But I'm sorry the food? (In my case shrimp and grits) was NOT GOOD. And don't get me wrong, it wasn't a horrible flavor, but the flavors it did have were terrible. First the grits are not smooth at all. Like they aren't super course but they definitely could have been cooked down more. And they had little seasoning. And that's being generous. Then the "creole" sauce on top? Can we ask the audience what they consider creole? Because that was just pure tomato sauce. Like straight out a can, had to be. No way someone cooked that sauce from scratch or even with creole seasonings or typical additives I'm sorry I just refuse to believe it. AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST... 5 shrimp??? You can't be serious. I could understand 5 shrimp if they're the huge jumbo ones but these are smedium at best. Like I feel BAMBOOZLED because no way I paid 24$ for 5 shrimp and maybe 1.5 cups of grits. But imma be honest I'm not surprised the food wasn't that good. Any place that puts on the bottom "we can't refund for food you don't like" that should tell you everything you need to know. But I digress My friends said the tequila sunrise was good so that's another star. Service and tequila sunrise. The only highlights. The venue is pretty but I don't recommend
