The way and manner in which the court functions left me with having absolutely no respect for WA Justice I was guilty until proven innocent no matter what the law says that's how I was treated. I won by jury trial which I am thankful that the people of Clark County are able to see the truth and understood my resolve. Let me tell you the prosecution I was told was this ambitious new upcoming prosecutor Katie Sinclair but let's just say she is sloppy and a terrible closer even with a judge allowing her every free opportunity to make a case against objections that had just cause. This prosecutor can't close cases and even worse is how she was promoted to such a position when evident by her using the law books in court to reference the law and her serious lack of confidence that look more like a child asking Daddy for permission to speaks in court the position is not earned but rather given by a poorly weak prosecution within Clark County. This prosecutor isn't ready for her position she is unqualified and lacks proper guidance from experienced prosecutors and even with a judge giving her the case on a silver platter she still lost. Some might say "it's like watching theatre" I'm sorry theatre and amateur prosecutors have no place in matters relating to real peoples lives and decisions that threatens the freedoms of its citizens this court and it's legal representatives should be ashamed. I will give some counsel to this court it's judges and prosecutors 1st The People have the final say and thank god for that. 2nd sometimes it's better to learn to choose your battles more carefully. And 3rd stop putting weak lambs when they have less experience then most paralegals in position of such great responsibilities. The recommendation from me and perhaps many others who have seen Ms.Sinclair would agree Send this prosecutor to a mandatory 2 years of aggressive Mock Trials so she can have some respect and can be a wolf when standing inside of any court. Katie Sinclair you have much to learn and you are not ready. I appreciate the people of my new home and thank the people for giving justice and truth accordingly.

They allow young and old to come and see how they live, what they do and then add some incredible interactive displays for the kids (and kids at heart). The Tax Deduction thinks he is a fire fighter, he has scores of fire trucks, fire fighter outfits and fire fighter figures to play with. So, when we brought him back here for the second straight year he just considered himself at home among his brother and sister fire fighters. So you can imagine that the young Tax Deduction was nothing short of a sheet of teeth from beginning to end. The open house is an amazing co-operative effort with many companies including the electric company, water company, county sheriff and ambulance companies all bringing educational displays, some interactive, some not, to show young kids (and old kids) how to be safe. The fire fighters serve soda, popcorn, snow cones, hot dogs and chips all for no charge. There are some donation boots spread about for those that wish to contribute and everyone did gladly. Among the highlights were a real fire hose (small one) that the kids could spray at a wooden "fire" and when the water stream hit it the "fire" would spin. A antique fire truck was giving rides around the block. Extrication demonstrations with the jaws of life. Sheriff's K9 Unit demonstrations. A landing of a Life Flight Helicopter right on the grounds (and the kids got to climb in for a while). Fire trucks open for kids to crawl around in and much much more. One of the best things was for $10 they would sell you a quality bike helmet and have people fit it to your child properly. That is worth so much more than $10! The open house is every first Saturday of June, it is totally kid friendly and beyond. If you have a little one who's fireman or firewoman crazy this is the place.

Unfortunately because it was off season and in early September, so nothing was growing at the time. They even have a "Seed Library" where people donate their garden seeds to library. Readers can come up and see what was donated and take a packet of seeds to plant at home. Great idea to spread the wealth of seed planting. We've been to almost everything this historical site has to offer. Our favorite part is just walking around any time of year and seeing what's in bloom. In the spring they have gorgeous cherry blossoms and tulip trees. In summer there's tons of hydrangeas around the historic buildings along Officer's Row. The Fort Vancouver gardens are gorgeous in summer with a wide variety of plants and flowers. There's a lot of vegetables too! Overall a great place to explore. I feel so lucky to have such a gem so close to home! Would highly recommend.

With an easy drive just over the gorge, we headed out that way and arrived at Fort Vancouver in about 10-15 minutes from PDX. The grounds here are free for everyone, and pets are allowed outside the fort! What drew me to this site was its historical significance as part of the Lewis & Clark expedition, and their Junior Ranger program, of which I am unashamedly a huge fan. But I was surprised to learn that they just started their B.A.R.K. Ranger program, with activities that focus on your dogs! And because our dog was with us, we just had to do this too. The B.A.R.K. Ranger program encourages learning and discovery on the grounds outside the fort. There are some walking trails throughout, including one that leads to the Pearson Air Museum (free of charge). There is ample parking at the visitor center, near the historic fort, and next to the air museum. Unfortunately, dogs aren't allowed inside the actual fort itself, and there's a $10 admission fee per adult. If you have the national parks pass, you can bring 3 people in addition to yourself for free. But honestly, I believe the fort is the true gem and attraction of this site. P2 stayed outside the fort with our dog while I explored the fort. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they have docents that prepare food (not for sale or eating) using the same techniques they used when the fort was founded back in 1825. They also have blacksmiths on site making tools or decor out of iron ingots, and they all act the part. I didn't get a chance to see all the buildings, but I was able to climb up the stairs to the top floor of the watchtower. There are windows where cannons would have sat ready to fire back during the day. I was able to see the surrounding areas with more clarity up there. All in all, we had a wonderful time here. Fort Vancouver NHS is probably one of my favorite places to visit in the National Parks System. If you have kids, we can't recommend this place enough if you have the time and are looking for an educational and fun experience

They've done a nice job of setting this building up for an intimate gathering during bad weather and I imagine during good weather you could really spread out and make it a beautiful location for an outdoor wedding or event. The big fireplace made for a beautiful backdrop to the autumn theme we had and kept the place nice and toasty, too! The people we worked with to coordinate the rental were friendly and supportive. There was a lady that met us there right before and right after the event to help make sure we'd remembered all the clean up items we needed to wrap up to get our deposit back. They had a nice kitchen to work with and, while we brought most of our stuff prepared--we appreciated that they had serving utensils, coffee pots, and other supplies to use in the kitchen if we needed them. I think the only challenge we bumped into was enough refrigerator space, but that was a minimal issue and partially our fault. We were going to bring a cooler and forgot to. How can you go wrong having dinner in the same room where Ulysses S. Grant dined with the family that ran the school that resided in this building back in the day? How cool is that? We definitely will consider using this location again. If you are considering renting it, I recommend you set up a time to go visit the building and check it out. That way you can take some pictures and do some planning and just enjoy the ambiance of the house.
