Bathrooms and interior can use an upgrade, seemed like it could use an good cleaning in the building, but it's run by government so don't expect any changes but a nice color of fresh paint and decent designed peel stick flooring could make a huge difference. (shouldn't be over the top pricey..i j s). That parking..OH EM GEE.....that was ridiculous. You can ride around and around until someone comes out of the building then be on top of them like white on rice to get their parking space when they leave. I did however find out you can park out on the street which only had 2 cars parked there. Plenty of room for lot's of cars and it's not much farther to walk if you are able..plus you won't get any door dings.

My medical benefits have been denied because I didn't go to enough doctors that were covered by my insurance. I go to a general practitioner regularly in addition to weekly therapy and regular dental appointments. I pay out of pocket for certain psychiatry and acupuncture, because I am mostly medication resistant. I am constantly being threatened with some sort of loss of benefits or another. At the same time, the Washington Connection website still looks like it was built in the 1990s, and if you use too many characters to change your password, you will simply be told that your password info is "wrong", so you have to just figure it out on your own that you need to create a less secure password (less than 20 characters). There is no prompt on the Washington Connection website which would indicate anything about medical expenses as they relate (or don't relate) to insurance. Everything is about as counter-intuitive as possible, and it's absolutely exhausting.

Usually always to spend time with my bestie and his husband in the city of Tacoma, Washington. For quite a bite of time I considered living here even during my favorite chilly time of year. Winters inside, strolls through the rain, brews in Downtown Tacoma at the Odd Otter Brewery, karaoke nights at The Mix - LGBTQ+ Bar or performances by Spumoni , getting my Quickie Too - Vegan Restaurant fix, feeding and/or just getting to know animals at Debbie Dolittle's Petting Zoo, Tacoma Mall... I'm here for you!! LeMay - America's Car Museum, vroom vroom :) There's so many fun hidden gems, and things to do. Bundle up if you're visit especially when the high is 49 to 52. Tacoma isn't perfect. Downtown, while full of fun things is also rough around the edges. As noted by signs, graffiti (sometimes artistic), and a need for improvement in general city upkeep. I'm not a resident, just a frequent visitor so I can't speak to city services and the grievances aired, but hope Tacoma continues to thrive, listen and learn. Be the change, embrace the change, and help create things you want to see happen as well as flourish. As the saying goes and is true to me, "You'll Like Tacoma!"

Lost my phone minutes because I have black mold and I was seeing if I could get emergency housing why minds being fixed even the 211. I never got a person and that's their emergency line and one girl said we're so understaffed only one phone number in the 72 did I talk to a real person and HUD and Housing Authority bombard me with at least 10 to 15 emails a day telling me here is lists, see if you can stay somewhere else in another county would be great, but I can't talk to anyone who will facilitate that it's all recordings about enough to make you go insane. So all those advertised lists and emails at least 200 are all for nothing thanks, housing Authority thanks and when I try to contact HUD the housing Authority says well you can't they're like our legs and where the arms of the county and we do the work and they just finance it I go of course OK, thank you for letting me ventAnd

I have visited after it's reopening. My son's school had library days once a month during the latter part of school year. If your child go to school in Tacoma, then they most likely have a library account through Pathways. It allows them to check out 5 books at a time. We have joined the Summer Reading program. There are museum passes here if you want to go with your library card. That is awesome for the library system offers this! I will update this again because I need to take pictures and inquire about more things this library offers. So far I put materials on hold and pick them up. They do offer hotspots to checkout. Those are high demand. Those take a while to get. This library is closed on Mondays. This library is on the bus line. However some residents can ride the bus or ride their bikes to the library. There is some parking spaces at the entrance. I definitely believe this public library is worth visiting and staff here are awesome. They are very eager to help.
