I've usually made my purchases at stand alone boutiques and was excited to see an actual "Spartina 449" store so I had to go in. I walked in wearing blue jeans, a T shirt, and tennis shoes. I was hoping I'd be acknowledged in some way, however I was not. I saw other women dressed up like they just came from an afternoon tea or brunch being acknowledged and assistance looking for desired merchandise. Did II somehow miss a dress code? I was in there for at least 5 minutes before I walked out. Truly disappointed in my experience. I guess you have to look like you have money in order to be helped in making a sale. Carole at the register is so pleasant and calm. This kind of customer service was last felt when I went to Japan. Another reason I love coming to this location is the deals, merchandise, and coupons as a Hallmark member. Last year I had some ornaments in my online shopping cart and I waited too long to which resulted in them being sold and unavailable. When I found some time after the holidays, I wanted to use my free card coupon and didn't have much expectations with regard to holiday sales. Needless to say, I walked out with all the ornaments I wished for and then some for an even better deal than online! The boba, cheese, pokemon, cutesy ornaments etc. magically were available! I'm looking forward to the after holiday sales and my next visit. Happy with their customer service and selections.
