We were traveling nearby on a recent Saturday and opted to stop in at around noon. There is street parking as well as a large public lot across the street. This space was previously a small Thai restaurant (and I'm sure it had multiple incarnations before that). From what I recall, the layout in the Thai restaurant seemed smaller. They appear to have opened up space so that the dining area is deeper now. There is a dining area up front with a few tables; this area has more natural light from windows. The dining area continues along one wall adjacent to the kitchen, and it is a bit darker there. The overall vibe is 'artsy', with art displayed on the wall (some for sale), creative names for menu items, etc. The shop would fit right in to a small college town. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We got seated right away and were able to find items we wanted. The menu is not extensive, but it has a decent spread of items that should satisfy most people. I quite liked my BLT and the accompanying chips. The size was right and the bacon was well crisped. They also didn't try too hard with some odd bread or whatever. I like a place that just makes a straight-ahead BLT without trying to make it needlessly 'classy'. My wife liked her chicken salad sandwich okay. The side salad she got was good. Prices were reasonable. They seemed to have an adjoining property called Lune which may be their dinner incarnation. It seems like both restaurants are related and the menu implied that they did serve dinner, but maybe just at Lune (?). FWIW. I would consider returning here for another meal.

The Chef's Tasting Menu with wine pairings at The Farmhouse was a really cool and memorable…read moreexperience. Each course was beautifully presented, and the wine pairings were thoughtfully selected to complement the food. Michael was fantastic--friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable about the wines. He took the time to explain each pairing and made the experience even more enjoyable. It is a little pricey, but for a special occasion or unique dining experience, it's worth trying at least once. The creativity, presentation, and wine pairings made for a fun and memorable evening.

Ambiance great. Staff generally friendly. The server has fondness for the term "friend" and every…read moresentance ended with that. "Sounds good, friend". "I'll get that for you, friend". "No problem, friend". It becomes annoying... but not a big concern. What was concerning, however, was the quality of food. I can only say "hit and miss". Our table of two opted for the tasting menu. One of us got the game selections (quail and elk) which was seasoned quite nice, albeit the quail was overcooked and the elk was super rare. The other ordered the burrata and fish. Both were horrible. Absolutely bland. It wasn't presented as being the diet restriction option... it felt like the chef approached it that way. Final course was dessert. Uninspiring. In general, it was disappointing meal.
