I love them, I love watching the games and love that they have been a part of great winning teams. It gives them plenty of exercise and gets them away from their phones, x-box, Wii or whatever else they own. When the season is over I rejoice that I actually managed to be a soccer mom. Successfully, for another season. Really. My whole family rejoices. The league is for The City of Pasadena. Registration is at Pals Gym, a few blocks down the way. It's reasonable in price, the coaches are volunteers. Pasadena residents pay a few bucks less and it's more for those of us on the outskirts. The fields themselves, are well kept, there is no benches, or trees for shade. Everyone brings lawn chairs and their own canopy or umbrella. Pick up after yourself. As the games progress on Saturday the fields have trash scattered around although there is plenty of trash cans nicely placed within sight. Plenty of parking, it gets a little tight at arrival and departure as scheduled times are overlapped. Be patient. They have a summer season that my kids haven't been a part of for at least 3 years. They travel to Mexico, but manage to stay on their original team. My oldest is currently playing his last season. I will now be scouting a new league so he can continue to play. Coach Anthony has a unique way of connecting with each of his players and respect is shown both ways. It has been fun to watch the kids grow and develop a strong love for the game. One of my favorite things about Coach Anthony is the sportsmanship he instills in the players. I have seen him pull back his very strong offensive players to defense and allow his defense to get a chance to score. This shows great compassion to not run up the score and allows defenders to learn different skills during the game. I highly recommend Coach Anthony and the Pasadena Energy FC.

They usually have a food truck available, there is a full bar with TVs and seating areas inside and out.
