I can't thank Tina enough for her support and flexibility. I have visited the office in person a few times and it is in pristine condition; everything is so clean and bright! I mostly did telehealth with Tina for the majority of treatment, further demonstrating her ability to accommodate for her patients. As a result of treatment, my jaw has stopped clicking and sleep apnea has reduced. My tongue posture has improved completely. You really don't realize how many issues improper tongue posture can cause and how often one uses their tongue in improper posture until you experience myofunctional treatments. Though I was personally unable to fully address orthodontic relapse due to other health issues impacting gum health, Tina was able to help address maladaptive swallowing patterns/habits that impact teeth movement after orthodontics which I still feel was important to correct in my treatment. I truly believe that myofunctional therapy is a must for anyone going through orthodontics or having recently finished their orthodontic treatment to best preserve orthodontic work. I wish I knew about myofunctional therapy when I got my braces off a decade ago! I am very grateful for Tina's help and the improvements that I have been able to make in the present, and these are habits that I think will improve my overall quality of life.

ASIS (RB location) has been a total game changer in my case and I can't recommend them enough. I've…read moremade more progress working with Dr. "D" Catron and all the professional, dedicated PT Techs (especially Annika, whom I've been working with the most) in the last year than the previous 6yrs of conservative pain management (i.e. incompetent pain docs, epidural steroid injections, pain meds, numerous feeble PT attempts with mediocre PTs at substandard PT clinics, etc.) combined. My care plan is not only 100% tailored to me, but Deanna also personalizes every session based on how I'm feeling both physically/mentally that day, integrating mental/physical well-being in her practice. She takes the time to listen/understand how my condition impacts my life, finds ways for me to integrate my home care routine more easily/efficiently into my lifestyle, explains how each exercise/stretch works, and creates new ones on the spot to help save me time by combining several into one. Deanna truly goes above/beyond by taking the time to help me better understand my condition anatomically, how it affects me physically, and took things a step further by helping me understand my MRI/x-ray impressions ordered by the pain docs but never explained to me in a way I could understand by them. Thanks to her and Annika's profound empathy/compassion, unremitting encouragement/devotion, inexhaustible patience/support, and exceptional teamwork; I have managed to get off opioids completely, drastically cut down on multiple other addictive meds, regain confidence in my self/my ability to get better, and learn what I can do to continue along this path to recovery without having to get surgery. I'm no longer stumbling around in the dark and can finally see light at the end of the tunnel. They have completely transformed my life for the better and I sincerely hope they are getting the recognition/compensation they deserve for their relentless hard-work/efforts. Speaking of well deserved recognition/compensation for hard-work/efforts, I feel it's important that I mention all the other amazing PT Techs that have played a role in my journey to recovery (not in any particular order and hopefully spelled correctly): Jericho, Hanna, Blake, Chloe, Nick, Cora, and Jacob. Thank you to all with whom I've had the pleasure of working with at ASIS in Rancho Bernardo, words are not enough to express my gratitude for everything you have done for me!

My son Conner began seeing her when he was just two and a half years old, and from the very first session it was clear that she was someone truly special. Nicole has a rare combination of professionalism, warmth, and patience that makes both children and parents feel instantly at ease. Working with toddlers requires a unique level of creativity and compassion, and Nicole consistently went above and beyond to connect with Conner in ways that made learning both fun and effective. Her gentle encouragement, thoughtful approach, and ability to adapt to Connor's personality helped build his confidence in ways that meant the world to our family. What stood out most was Nicole's extraordinary patience and dedication. She never rushed sessions, always arrived on time, and treated Connor with such kindness and respect. You could genuinely see how much she cared about his progress and wellbeing. She celebrated every milestone with us and made the entire process feel collaborative and encouraging rather than stressful. Nicole also went the extra mile in ways we'll never forget. At the end of our time working together, she even surprised Conner with thoughtful little gifts, which meant so much to him and showed how deeply invested she was in the children she works with. Finding a speech therapist you trust with your child is incredibly important, and Nicole exceeded every expectation we had. Her professionalism, heart, and commitment to her work truly set her apart. If you are looking for a speech therapist who is compassionate, skilled, reliable, and genuinely cares about the children she works with, I cannot recommend Nicole highly enough. After the first appointment, I was amazed, and by the second appointment I was almost totally pain-free. Jera has a very positive, practical approach to healing and explains things in a way that makes sense. She provided me very simple exercises to help maintain my improvements, and I also found that I can use the exercises when my knee gets tweaked and I'm "restored" like magic! I went in to address a gradual decline that over the years started to affect my ability to exercise and finally even walk. I left able to walk, jump, run, and dance! What's more, the improvements have sustained...it's been 1.5 years since my last appointment and I haven't had any issues. However, I'd go back to Alternative Physical Therapy in a heartbeat if I have any problems in the future. I'd recommend Jera to anyone who is suffering or just wants to optimize their performance!
