This is a small-ish bar with very good food in Rotorua's Eat Street area. I felt like we had a good variety of the options on the small-ish menu, and everyone was happy with their orders. There were only a few beers on tap and a few more in bottles -- it was a decent selection, but smaller than I expected for a place that seemed to me to have more of a bar atmosphere than a restaurant atmosphere. The non-alcoholic drink selection was limited enough to be nearly nonexistent.
Sobar's pricey like most restaurants in New Zealand, but not too pricey in comparison with others. The restaurant has only a little indoor seating, with probably twice as much seating outside (under the roof that covers the whole street). We were there during the winter, and plenty of heaters limited the chill while we ate outside. read more
