The machines are not great. I used 2 washers and started pretty much at the same time. The one ran way linger and my clothes were still soaked like where i had to dry forever. And the dryers suck. Some of the doors don't close all the way so then it takes even longer. The one good thing this place seems pretty clean so that's a plus. read more

Love coming here but will be looking for somewhere else. I come here for the good prices and quick stop from my house. Had one bad experience with the counter girl a while ago. But didn't let that dim the experience I have here until tonight. First thing that made me upset was the washer I went to use was dirty. Second one I went to use had gunk in it too. Okay whatever found some clean washers. One of the women moved my stuff out of my washer and started loading her own. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The attendant saw this and didn't say a word. On top of it. The hours when googling soap gnome say open till 10 pm. Pulled in at 931 to get my last dryer of item and the doors were locked and the woman inside would not open the door. Just pretended not to see me. So now I just lost my 40$ comforter???? You couldn't open the door to let me get it. One minute?? It is a real clean nice Laundromat. There has been constant employee changes at this place, not sure what the problem is, but it seems like the nice friendly ones always go. There always seems to be someone new training at the register and you can be standing there for quite a while while they figure things out. The woman that seems to run the place, I think her name is Julia, really needs to take lessons on customer service friendliness. She always seems to be ticked off she has to wait on you and that you are interrupting her in some way. There is someone there working with her, might be a relative but at least she somewhat tries to crack a smile at least. Other than that they seem to be with it and I've never had any real issues with their services, like I said it just seems to be the employees kind of could work on attitudes. Best wash and fold service around! Prices are better than other local competitors. They always have my things done super fast and neatly folded. They even put my white shirts on hangers so they don't get extra creases! That is definitely going a step above the rest! I only moved to this area in January, but this will be my place that I will be going regularly for my laundry! And love the girls that work there! They are always so friendly! read more

I've been coming to soap gnome laundromat for several years I have to say they have excellent service I know some other people based on these reviews did not experience the same thing but I have to say I have been to other laundromats this one is the best As for local laundromats this one is the best they fold I would just recommend give it a chance I'm very picky when it comes to my clothing and as I said I've had some pretty bad experiences at some other laundromat shrinking stuff ruining clothes just want to say excellent service excellent laundromat in my opinion read more

This place is very well kept and extremely quiet, like a hidden laundry oasis. You have to purchase a reloadable cash card for $1 to operate machines. The prices are average and drying time is 10 min per 25¢. If you register your email address with the cashier the owner will load $5 onto your card. The attendants are very helpful and nice. There's a childrens play area, seating throughout, 3 flat screen TV's, free wifi, snack/soda/soap vending machines and they offer drop off service. My uncle uses this laundry mat all the time and recommended it. It's always clean and well kept. Machine are always fully operational. I dropped off my laundry for the most part. If I drop my laundry very early in the morning, it is usually done that evening or the next day the latest. They got my white comforter soooooooo white and fluffy. My clothes are always folded neatly with nothing messing. Mostly of all, the are affordable and expect local coupons from other laundry mats. read more

I went to this laundromat to do a simple thing - To wash a coat in a small washing machine.The machine did not accept cash - I asked the attendant for assistance - She directed me to a machine that issues a "Wash and Dry Card" using my Credit Card. This machine not only charged me a $1 fee to issue the card ; then the attendant announced that there is a $10 minimum !! I wasn't about to pay a total of $11 to wash a single coat -- What a ripoff !! Even if I had $10 worth of wash and dry to do, it is appalling that the customer has to pay $1 for the convenience of the Store Owner not accepting cash.I fully intend to order a charge-back to this establishment for the $1 charged to my credit card. I took my laundry to the Laundromat on Broadway in Elmwood Park and paid $1.75 to get the job done - No fuss, no muss ! read more

After a few years of coming for the wash and fold service, my latest few loads have been coming back stained blue (on my white shirts and pricy blankets) and ALL of my bras are broken (hooks are ripped off, missing and twisted underwire). Really disappointing to receive loads back and have to throw out what you were looking to use. Will be looking for a new place. read more

I went here because my favorite laundry mat-laundry smart was closed. I stopped going to this place a few years ago when laundry smart opened up because there was always problems with their machines and the people who work here were never friendly to help solve problems. Well, today was no different. First, when I walked in the lady did not even look up or say hello to me-at laundry smart they're always greeting their customers and striking up a conversation. So then I put my card in the machine and it took the balance out but would not start. When I called the lady over to help me she pretty much told me that I must've not put enough money on the card and that if the machine is broke I don't get a refund. Finally after enough explaining she came over and had me switch my stuff to a different washer and paid for it. I'm very surprise this place is still in business after laundry smart opening up and I'm appreciative that they were open on a holiday but if they want to keep business they need to do a better job in customer service. read more

I was at the laundry mat and my clothes had 1 minute left in the dryer. I took out my bag from the cart to get ready to take my clothes out. This man comes and takes the cart and I said "excuse me sir that cart is mine I was using it. " In a rude tone he responds "This isn't your cart it's the laundry dry mats" and continues to walk away with it. I know this world is screwed up and filled with plenty of rotten people but I have never came across someone so rude and disrespectful like that ever! I really held my composure because a child was present. I will never be going to that laundry mat ever again. My hands are still shaking and my blood is still boiling.
