It's hard to know what kind of review to give this place. My amazingly fabulous dry cleaner retired recently so I'm looking for a new spot, and Emerson had extraordinary reviews so I went there. I brought a shirt and a down jacket. The shirt they laundered fine for $4 but the owner warned me that the jacket cleaning was expensive - and by this, he meant over $50. To his credit, the fellow did advise me that I could easily wash it myself and that's what I ended up doing. I still can't wrap my head around the fee he wanted for clean my jacket. I am so glad that I found and use Emerson Cleaners. I am originally from this area but since I got married we have moved 5 times in 16 years. That's a lot of moving. Both my husband and myself need to dress professionally every day. We do a lot of dry cleaning. I have used cleaners all over the country. Expensive, discount, large, small you name it I have tried them. Emerson Cleaners is by far the best dry cleaners we have ever used. We have been going there for about 2 years and Craig (the owner) and Rich, his Dad know exactly what they are doing. I spend a lot of money to purchase my clothes and need them maintained so they last. Here's the best part: They pick up and deliver for free. There is nothing more convenient for us than to place my bag of dirty clothes on my front porch and in a few days the cleaned clothes are returned and hung up in my garage. I can't understand why more people don't do this. Maybe they can't find a cleaner good enough or can't find a cleaner they trust with their clothes. This service saves me so much time. I never have to worry if the clothes I need will be ready or if I can get there before they close. I still occasionally go to the store when I need alterations. The tailor there works miracles. I recently had a pair of jeans shortened that had a decorative bottom that I wanted to keep and it was no problem. It came back with the same original bottom just as when I bought them. If you sign up for their newsletter on their website Craig sends you discount coupons by email. How great is that! It is very informative and gives you tips about clothing care. Also on their website I read about their commitment to environmentally friendly dry cleaning using a process called Green Earth. I actually see a difference with my clothes that are cleaned at Emerson Cleaners than at other places. I had some problems with the cleaner I was recently using and had to go on a hunt to find a new one. I heard about Emerson and thought I would give it a shot. Yes, it is true I pass through two towns to get here and pass some 3 or 4 dry cleaners, but after the second trip they are worth it. I wish they delivered to my neck of the woods, but delivery is where I usually have a problem, my last cleaner told me that picking up 2 shirts wasn't worth it....real nice! I like the fact that you can purchase a garment bag from them instead of using the plastic all the time, that adds up! Thankfully in my town you can recycle the bags. I usually have stays in my collared shirts but take them out when they go to the cleaners. When I got my shirts back from them they had put new ones in! So far no problems, and I'm more than satisfied with how they operate. read more

This was my first time using Emerson Cleaners. As I walked into the facility the gentleman working in the adjoining machine room with the clothes gave me a great big hello as if he'd known me for years. Stepping into the business was just as nice, I was greeted by a woman (didn't get her name, long blonde hair, blue eyes) she was just as friendly as the man who had greeted me. After leaving my suit to be cleaned I received a call from the woman who took my outfit. She said that my suit was missing a button and that if I brought it in they would sew it on for me. If only I knew where the button was hahhahah. Definitely left a good impression with me as most businesses wouldn't do that. At first I thought this place was okay but not anymore. I submitted one suit to be cleaned and for some minor tailoring. When I got it back they did not press the sleeve that was tailored nor did they clean it. I found a spot. They said they cleaned the suit but missed the spot. Doubt it. So I had to come back 3 days later to pick it up. Now they got rid of the spot but did not press the suit. They tried telling me they don't press suits unless you ask. I was like but you tailored the sleeve and didn't think you had to iron it. They were like "not unless you ask" so I said yes do it and had to wait another 3 days to pick up the suite. Then I asked "just to be clear you don't press suits when you clean them? They waivered and could not commit to an answer. Never to return. Ranch is much better. read more

I stopped in at 8:45am to pick up the the dry cleaning for my office (that is done there every week) and it wasn't ready. The girl behind the counter told me it just wasn't on the carousel yet and to come back in a few hours. No problem. I was out for lunch 5 hours later (2pm) and stopped back in. It still wasn't on the carousel. I offered to come back but they insisted they would find it for me which I appreciated. At no point was I rude or raise my voice. The owner was clearly agitated and told me all orders are ready AFTER 4PM. I have never been told this by anyone there so I was surprised. I have been told "afternoon" before and in this case I was told "in a few hours." There is a time on the receipt (that even the owner himself had trouble locating!!) but it's part of a string of text, nothing to stand out. When I asked why I would be told by one of his employees to come back in a few hours, when "ALL ORDERS ARE READY AFTER 4pm" like he barked at me, he flipped out, said "Maybe you just shouldn't come back then" and stormed away, leaving the poor 2 women behind the counter with their eyes bulging and mouthing "I'm sorry!" I thanked them both for their help with a smile, and walked out of the establishment for the last time. I saw the owner with his back to me in the open air area with the washing machines, remarked "that was very unprofessional of you, sir" and got in my car and left. read more

Great service and great care of your items. We've been going to this place since moving to town, and have been very pleased. Craig and his staff are very knowledgeable about the work that they do. They are open and let you know the risks of dry cleaning certain articles of clothing. So far, they have done a great job cleaning my work suits and ornate gowns. Just left the cleaners. I brought one of the nastiest, most difficult stain in for cleaning. My pen broke open spilling ink all over the fabric. Spoke with the owner Craig who advised me the fabric was probably a lost cause.. He then offered to attempt to clean the ink stain. I watched as he worked on the stain with spot cleaners, steam, brushes and a wooden type of scraper. All done in 90 degree heat. When all was done, to my amazement the stain was gone. Shirts came back smelling fresh, well pressed and with custom collar stays. Craig ,the owner ,explained that they use high quality soaps and brighteners.
