My husband and I love Soak car wash! All of their attendants speak English and they don't have a membership, so one of the reviewers posts listed here is for the wrong car wash. I love that they pre-scrub our cars getting all the bugs off. They make sure it's super clean before we drive through. My husband loves all the attachments for the vacuum, clean dry rags, etc. All the attendants are super friendly and I've never had an issue with my car not coming out clean. I normally do the "middle of the road" car wash, and will drive across town for this place! read more

They recently said that they won't accept my membership because they do not offer membership anymore. However, they are still charging me monthly. The attendant did not speak English, and could not cancel my monthly charge. The phone number you can call takes you to an AI assistant, and only gives you the chance to leave a voicemail, and my call is not being returned. Easy to get to. If you're passing through Bakersfield off the Hwy 99 & your car is dirty, take the old Hwy 58 exit, go East & make that stop at Soak CarWash. Three different levels of services and pricing. I chose the top which is Sublime for $25. It did the job. Next I pulled around to hand dry & vacuum my car. I carry my own auto microfiber towels in my trunk, but I was surprised to see they offer drying towels for free. This is great service & very rare these days. It's all on the honor system so return it to the Dirty bucket when you're finished. Thank You Max for your help & great customer service. What I loved: The long crevice tool to vacuum deep between your seats. All other car washes off that tool that doesn't get in between. I spent a good 90 minutes here cleaning my car. Loved the air gum to get out all the water from the door handles, the car decals, and the spoiler. Water hides and when you drive off it shows up. Support this small business. The cutest little independently owned car wash! I remember when they renovated several years ago and loved what they had done with the place. From the new paint to the drought tolerant landscaping - it's exactly what this spot on busy 24th Street needed! They've also done a fantasic job at maintaining and keeping it super clean, in spite of the area. The staff is super friendly when you need them. Vacuums work really well. Don't join monthly membership. I have tried to cancel mine for 3 months and they are still taking the payment out. It's not unlimited, You can only go 4 times a month. I have a brand new car and it has scratches all over it. Yes it was the only place I had my car washed. They don't clean their brushes that they use on your car even after a muddy vehicle. I don't know what to say this is the best drive-thru car wash in town that you actually stay in your car The other ones in town they just wet your windshield and that's it these guys are out there scrubbing bugs off with the brushes and everything else before even went into the car wash I was like what $22 and it's worth every penny of it because they kind of care a little bit more than the other drive-thru ones here in town and it's nice to instead of having to actually dry your car you can use the air pressure hose and end the water just beads off with the high pressure from the air it's a lot better and a lot less rougher on your car vacuum is work good and all that don't clog up which is nice like I said overall it's the nicest drive-thru automatic car wash that you stay in your car in town they only got one but that's okay Mister car Wash got a whole bunch of them and they're definitely not as good and they went up on their prices I'm definitely going back soaks you rock read more

This place is awesome! The employees are friendly. At other car washes in town, I've had to go through the machine several times and my car still looks dirty. At Soak Car Wash, my car is clean the first time. They really spray your car with the de-bugger and take brushes and sponges to your car to get off any stuck on gunk before they put you through the car wash. In the car wash, the brushes actually touch my car, unlike other places. You can pay extra to have them dry the outside of your car too. I love this place! This is the only place I go, if I'm not washing my car myself. read more

This is a nice business. Customizations are possible for Odd-size vehicles, and humans are involved. As mentioned in a different review, they do manual cleaning initially and then allow spinning machines to finish. One note: when exiting the tunnel, the ground is very slippery, so definitely pull forward a little bit before exiting your vehicle. read more

I recently tried out Soak because I needed a quick wash. The guy that helped me at the gate was really nice, he explained that the $20 wash comes with a hand dry so I went ahead and went with that. The wash itself seems good, car looked nice afterwards and they told me exactly where to pull in and park after for the dry. The guy came over right away and did a full hand dry and sent me on my way. It's quick, easy and affordable, can't complain. read more

The way they give your car a thorough wash at the beginning reminded me of good old days with Cruz Thru. Soak Car Wash was 100% better than Mister Car Wash and even better than Sparkling Image despite having vacuuming the interiors included. The wash left my car clean and free from bugs that have been on my windshield for I don't know how long. It was just confusing where to park for the hand drying part but definitely a good experience. I really like this drive thru car wash because it is very try clean and doesn't scratch your paint. Also they don't get on you about being there too long. Their choice of music is nice as well. Vacuums work great. They used to have towels to dry your vehicle and they took them off recently not sure why but I do miss that. It is very well worth the patron monthly pass. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!! I had paint damage during the wash from scratches to actual paint coming off my car ! Employee did not want to do a claim for the damage and manager was not on duty this Friday 11/8. My number and pictures of my car were messaged to the manager but there no communication. Went Monday 11/11 to ask for a manager and the one on duty gave me attitude and said he could not do nothing. Owner did not pick up the phone when I gave him a call. Tried this carwash earlier in the week. I had high expectations given the reviews i saw and was very pleased. My daughters car was filthy with lots of bugs on the front from driving hwy 5. They did a thorough job scrubbing the car before we ran through the wash and it looks great. Would love to have had someone vaccuum but they make it really easy to do your own. Keep going back because the pre-wash and actual car wash are excellent. It is pricy since you have to do the drying and vacuuming yourself. I gave it 3 stars because the owner has the nastiest attitude if you ever have to speak with him regarding any issue. He feels as if NOTHING can go wrong at his car wash and if something does and you mention it, he takes it very personal as if he was insulted and offended. He does not mind getting into an argument and disrespecting customers. The only reason I go back is as I mentioned because the actual car wash is good. AND you don't see the owner often. The rest of the employees (who work really really hard are very nice). Oh, and you better use the restroom before getting there because owner DOES NOT ALLOW CUSTOMERS to use the restroom and it's set on stone. read more

I stopped going to car washes because at most places, what used to be a detail oriented wash, turned into a drive-through. However, my experience here was amazing! The assistants here hosed down my car, and kept a rag on them to scrub down any dirty spots that didn't come off with the hose. It was very refreshing experience. We use a car wash like this where live 3 hours away but your car wash is far better. They hand scrubbed the bugs off our windshield and they did a great pre wash. The 2 young men cleaning our vehicle Friday afternoon did outstanding work! It was worth every bit of $18-20 we spent. Found this place passing through Bakersfield. I got the basic wash you could get since I was in a rental. And with that price they actually pre scrubbed with a brush and rinsed the entire car. I could even see them scrubbing with their finger for extra sticky dirt. Which showed me they cared. Idk if it's a Cali thing. But, in my state there's no car wash I've seen pre-scrub to the entire car. Usually it's just the front bumper they scrub. I could only imagine what they'd do for the premium price. They also have towels and glass cleaner to wipe your windows and car. Which they provide for free. Now, back to the dollar store to return these cleaning supplies. Best drive through car wash in town, 100%. Nothing else comes close that I've been to. The only way your car will be cleaner is if you pay someone a lot of money to detail it. For your weekly, biweekly, or whenever you normally wash your car, this is the place to go. What makes them better than the rest? Oh jeez, the list can go on and on, but I'll list the important stuff. Price: on par with other drive throughs, which is awesome because they are better than the others in virtually every way. Drive Through: when you are driving through, you can tell the equipment is a step above the other places. More soap, much more powerful air dry, etc. Vacuums: twice as powerful as any other place I've been to. Compressed Air: why has no other place thought of this???? This is so simple yet so genius! In the vacuum area, they have a compressed air sprayer than you can use to spray out dust, dirt, excess water that didn't get dried, etc. I like using it first into my air vents, turning on my air so dust gets blown out, airing out other areas of my car, then vacuuming everything out at the end. Floormat Hanger: they have areas were you can hang your floormats to vacuum and clean. The only improvement I could think of is if they had a water sprayer there as well, since some of us (like myself) have hard plastic aftermarket floormats that need to be washed to get 100% clean. I simply bring a wet towel with me every time I go and wipe them clean. This is the only car was I will ever go to from now on, it's that good. read more
