So Thai has officially earned a spot on my list. The first thing I tried was the BBQ chicken, and it was everything you want--juicy, tender, and packed with incredible flavor. Every bite was seasoned perfectly and left me wanting more. I also grabbed the chicken dumplings because they were buy one, get one free on Uber Eats, and shoutout to them for putting me on because they did not disappoint. They were so good that I had to make a trip to the restaurant myself. On my visit, I ordered the chicken Pad Thai, and it lived up to the hype. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the flavors were balanced, and the chicken was just as tender as before. On top of that, the service was welcoming and attentive, making the experience even better. There are still so many dishes I want to try, and if I'm back in the area, the Pad See Ew is definitely next on my list. The Pineapple Fried Rice was decent with a good amount of Pineapple and Chicken, but the Papaya Salad could use a little more flavor. Horrible thai food! I was really excited to try this place since I live walking distance and it was a huge disappointment. I got the street noodles with grilled pork and the noodles tasted like clumped 3 day old ramen noodles with soy sauce poured on them and the pork was super fatty and had a really bad gamey flavor. The pork was tender enough, and the egg and bean sprouts added that familiar texture mix, but it just didn't have the depth or punch you hope for in a solid pad Thai. Visually, it looked the part, steaming noodles, a wedge of lime, a little crunch on the side, but flavor-wise, it landed squarely in the "meh" zone. At $16.99, it felt a bit steep for something so middle-of-the-road. $13.00 would've made more sense for what you get. Not a disaster, just not memorable. I'm really disappointed. I requested mild because I couldn't find a "no spice" option, but this dish was extremely spicy -- not mild at all. I couldn't eat it. I even tried adding water, but it didn't help. The potatoes were hard, and one piece of chicken didn't seem cooked through. I had to throw it away, which was so upsetting after waiting for delivery so late at night. I have a sensitive stomach and this made me feel sick after 2 spoons. I've had Thai food before and mild dishes were never this spicy. I hope the restaurant can be more careful about spice levels for customers who request mild. I found this little gem down the street from my job. I got the chicken dumpling steamed (to die for!), Tom Kha, and the mango sticky rice for dessert for the office. The steamed chicken dumplings were so good! dipped into the sauce and it was so soft and melted in my mouth.
