It was everything I like in a spin class - dark room, loud music, bike dancing. There were clearly a lot of regulars in the room...if you're nervous about "keeping up," maybe don't opt for the front row. The weights session was a nice mix of exercises with 5-10 lb weights. Also, they have SPD shoes to borrow. Apparently no one else uses the little lockers in the lobby. Overall a great class - would definitely come back!

There is a large pool, multiple yoga rooms, a large basketball court, a spin/cycle room (with updated quality bikes), two exercise equipment rooms (with updated equipment like elyptical machines), a well staffed and organized child care section, and newly renovated locker rooms. You can truly spend a day at this location enjoying the many perks. For example, we enjoyed an afternoon of family swim, then dropped the kids off at their childcare (included with a family plan membership), and spent time on their exercise machines and in the weights section. They have quite a few better machines and strength training compared to some private gyms we used to belong to. You can tell this Y tries very hard and cares about staying committed to its members. There's a sense of pride in this place that can only be experienced upon immersing yourself in all the South County Y has to offer.

What I mean by that is that both the RPMs and resistance are displayed as numbers on the bike. At the beginning of each song the instructor will tell you what RPM number to target, and what level of resistance you want to aim for - The instructors are awesome with people who are new to spin, new to the studio, or (like me) just really bad at setting up their bike. - Compared to a lot of other places, they're pretty affordable. If you follow them on social media they also run periodic sales where you can sometimes get a small pack of classes for $10-11 each The only real drawback is that sometimes the music is so loud it's hard to hear the instructor over it. That happens pretty rarely though!

The shower needs a scrubbing and the body wash was empty with a gross bar soap on top. The bikes don't have computers. Also, way too loud. The previous instructor was about to lock the door as I was 5 minutes late. She was kind enough to still let me in (5 minute grace period - so be forewarned). Since I am NOT a spinner she also helped me get clipped into my bike - which was so nice because the class already started and it was dark. The class itself???? AMAZING!!! I really do not like spin and will try to find any other workout if I can. But this place was close to my hotel and had the right time for my schedule. I am from Los Angeles (have tried SoulCycle and Cyclebar) but had to come to Foxboro to find the best class I have ever been to! EMILY is the BOMB!!!! She is that instructor everyone wish they had for EVERY class bc everyone would be in amazing shape!! Emily's positivity, energy and teaching to great music and using the music and her instruction to pump you up and keep you going was inspiring. I even thought that my 16-year old daughter would love the class (and to have such a thought for for someone who does not enjoy spin is saying something!). The bikes are unlike any other spin bikes--- smooth riding and top notch. Glenn is able to create the perfect balance of a zen-like yet intense ride like no other workout class. His music is always perfectly selected and frequently updated. The East Bay is fortunate to have Luxe in our back pocket. I highly recommend Luxe to all people who have not yet tried it. One spin and you will be hooked!
