Amazing and highly recommended! I experienced car trouble on Highway 18 and needed to be towed. Snyder's Tire was closest for a service facility on the USAA map, so my vehicle was left there after hours. The following morning the awesome team at Snyder's looked at my vehicle and determined the issue was an improperly installed air filter which had been done earlier in the day at an quick oil change service center that has a name starting with a 'V'. The issue was quickly fixed and I was on my way! It was explained that I couldn't be charged legally by Snyder's because it was determined the oil change service center was the cause and I went to have them do their job correctly later. Again, nothing but praise for Snyder's! They rock! They're trustworthy and super helpful! I'd give 6 stars if I could!! read more

I popped my tire about 10 miles from the shop, called Snyders and they were RAPID RESPONSE! They had my replacement tire in stock, aggressive price points and I was literally there for about 5 minutes! Well done ya'll and thanks for being so FRIENDLY! read more

Unfortunately I had my oil change there a few weeks ago. I was happy with the oil change except after the service they said to me oh, you need new tires I said seriously oh yes, you need new tires. I knew that wasn't true because the tires were fairly new. I don't know how this place does so well especially because their prices are at least three times higher than most of the garages up here in the Mountain community, I've met the owner and he's a really nice guy, but the owner wasn't there that day. I went back a week and a half later and I spoke to him he even confirmed my tires did not need to be replaced so I cannot recommend this place. I've spoken to many many other people up on the Mountain community day as well confirmed that this place is extremely expensive. I really wanted to like this place but not when they lie and try and rip people off cannot recommend this place. The best place is really the garage in Cedar Glen don't bother because when you have a small community like this and you try and rip people off, it does not look good for you read more

We are truly fortunate and blessed to have Snyder's Tire Works near us in VOE. Yesterday, the guys were good enough to plug a tire for me. And all for just $20! Great and quick service, for an affordable price. We have used these guys for years up here. They seem to be the 'best' in town to us. Not long ago, my wife who is disabled with a prosthetic leg, frantically pulled in to their business with a tire going down. According to her account, these guys were busy that day. Per usual. And yet, despite all their service bays being used, and a full parking lot at the time, these guys made time for her. She was go thankful, greatful, and relieved. In no time, they were able to safely get her back on the road. Well done fellas! We love you up here. Continue the great service. You ARE a fixture and statement of excellence in our community! TY! read more

They fixed a problem that my previous mechanic couldn't fix. Also the guy we talked to was very friendly.

Great place took care of my daughter, and that's important to have local shops who take care of their customers. Thank you for taking care of her , this made me a loyal customer read more

They are fantastic. Theyre honest and knowledgeable, a rare combination these days. I highly recommend them.

I had to walk in the snow because nobody would give me a ride to the next two shops to see if they have the tools and I ended up having to go to another location where I was helped. I felt like I was being turned away with no solution, even though I tried my best to accommodate the owner by searching for the tools which they should have on hand at any tire shop is frustrating to see businesses like this in a place where people need service they don't just want it. The mountain can be very dangerous. Be sure to take your tools with you. read more

I live in Crestline: Snyder's did my 2021 Tacoma's front brakes and rotor resurfacing last year for a fair price with veteran discount. This summer the rotor's started to warp due to the braking driving downhill causing my truck to rumble (I guess it's common on the newer Tacoma's) I took it in and they replaced the rotors with drilled and slotted rotors (they cool faster) for a better than fair price, veteran discounted the labor, and did a warranty replacement for the front brake pads (effectively saving me the money from my next brake job). The team is super friendly and professional, I highly recommend!!! read more

My car had a huge nail on it, and the guys are we're so helpful! They plugged my tire up no problem! Super professional, quick, and reliable!! This is definitely my go to place! I highly recommend them! Thank you guys so much!!! read more

The people are very nice, and they did some of the things I requested, but then, they encountered a difficulty getting some of the parts I needed. However, they worked on the issue and called me a week later saying they were able to get the parts and I could bring my truck in to finish the job! (which I did ;) read more

I would be so happy if every business were run like Snyder's tire works. I stopped in with an issue on my left rear tire, ask Johnny if he could check it, and a few seconds after he took the tire off he showed me a spot where a puncture was lodged near the side wall that he was unable to fix. (I was kicking myself for not bringing the tire inflator, left in my garage in LA.) He topped my tire off with a little extra air, gave a word of reassurance that I would be fine if I was only losing a few pounds per day, and sent me on my way free of charge. It was swift, honest, friendly, and very no nonsense. I unfortunately will now have to conclude this matter at the big box retailer that sold me the tires and I am not expecting nearly as nice a tire service experience as at Snyder's. Thank you, Johnny and please keep up the good work in Crestline. read more

Snyder's Tire Works - Tires Near Me - Crestline, California

Honest, prompt service and friendly attitudes. Will definitely be return customers. Highly recommend!

I have been bringing my Tacoma and Highlander to Snyders since 2016. Every single experience with them has been professional. They are so much more than just tires. I have stopped by without appointments and they have dropped everything to fix a hole in my tire amongst other things. They are good people! read more

So glad to have an honest shop on the mountain. Rob, Johnny, & all the guys there go out of their way to earn my business. They take pride in what they do, and they've cut me some slack during the hard times. They understandably have a large workload, so sometimes you must wait. It's worth it, I've never regretted it. They simply are the best shop in a hundred-mile radius... read more

I was able to schedule a smog appointment in a few days, which I needed because I waited last minute for registration... I dropped off my car and the man who helped was very personable and finished the smog in something like 35 minutes! I just went to the consignment store next door while I waited. Mr. Snyder processed my check and was home within the hour. The mechanics there are nice and not creepy at all. They also reset my tire pressure that my dealership didn't even know how to turn off smh... I definitely recommend! read more

Awesome place. Never have problems... kind and friendly staff. When I ask when a job might be done they are very accurate in the estimated time. And they also gave me rides to my home (pre-COVID). Nice work! -Will read more

Great Honest Business on the Mountain. I have gotten my tires for all our vehicles, sometimes its worth it to get it here vs driving down the hill. I see they help allot of visitors with emergencies. The manager is honest and straightforward and if cant get it there they have a shop down the hill. read more

I have tried calling them for 4 days and they do not answer their phone. This is ridiculous, it says that the location is open but no one is there to help. Very unprofessional! read more

I had two tires that needed to be mounted on my rims. i brought my unidirectional performance tires and custom rims. I also had a slow leak in a donut spare tire. They mounted and balanced the two tires in the correct directional rotation and even saved my custom valve caps. Then they remounted the space saving spare with a new valve and reseated the bead. all done in just a couple of hours. Fantastic service. Just what I needed To get my little sports car back on the road. Thanks! read more

Horrible place. Came here during a snowstorm asking for help to put chains on our tires and the worker turned us away and said they were too busy but he proceeded to sit down in his chair and do absolutely nothing. Definitely gave my dad a dirty look for having an accent. Don't come here if you actually want any assistance with anything. read more

Got flat tire in Lake Arrowhead while visiting and needed help. Stopped at Snyders in Crestline on Lake Drive and spoke with Jeremy. Very nice guy, he took us in immediately and got us back on the road right away. Easy on the wallet as well. Thank you for all your help! read more

They don't make me feel dumb when I don't know what's going on. Once I went to a dealership and they said I would have to replace our transmission. I brought it to Snyder's and they found the problem and it was a lot more financially do able. I've had my tires replaced, oil changes, breaks fixed and all experiences were great. I won't bring my car to anywhere else. read more

And a life saver. Went in to get oil changed and car ready for road trip. I asked they check my brakes. Thank God they did as my brakes were missing one of two bolts. Could have been a tragic road trip. Thanks for watching out for me! Oh and the killer deal on the services you provided me! read more

Came in with a Hwy 18 Special. Anyone form the mountain knows that that means. Only cost me a few dollars to repair the leak. Had to make an appointment but that is no biggie. PROS: Cheap Fast Friendly CONS: The walls of the building don't taste good. read more

I love Snyder's - prices are always fair, they explain everything, and work hard to make sure that your car is repaired the first time. I've come in once or twice with minor issues (paneling that was hanging, sound from the tire), which they looked at, fixed and sent me on my way at no price. Highly recommend them. read more

Had two used tires mounted by Snyder's a couple weeks ago, when I went to put them on the truck, they were flat. It was raining when I went back to Snyder's to have them fixed, there was a circle of foamy bubbles around the bead. They obviously did not even leak check the tires, or seal the bead, and charged me $20 each. When I asked them to fix the bead leaks, the dude acting as manager copped attitude and wanted to charge me another $20 to fix their poor work. That's it for me. I can get better service for less money down the hill in San Bernardino. read more

A little over 2.5 years ago, I moved up to the mountain. I asked a co-worker, who was a long time mountain resident, which shop he took his truck to for service. He didn't hesitate, "My father always took his vehicles to Snyder's. Every car I've owned, I've taken to Snyder's." This guy was in his late 60s. Even though I live in Lake Arrowhead, that seemed like a good enough recommendation to me to drive to Crestline. I tried them out and I've been coming back the whole time I've lived up here, recommending them to anyone who needs honest service. Here's an example of their honest service: Last time I went in for new tires and an oil change, I asked them to to an exploratory check of the whole car - to see if anything hidden was wrong. They said I would have to pay for the mechanic's time to do the inspection; and I agreed to that. Now, a bunch of shops would take this as an open door to "find something" and charge for it. Not only did they not "find" anything, but they didn't even charge me for the inspection! I mentioned this to them, thinking they forgot to add it to the bill. They said the mechanic was able to inspect as he was performing the other services and that they didn't see a need to charge me for it. Wow. Full recommendation with no hesitation. read more

Rad staff, super quick service, and bitchin prices. No need to leave the mountain for tires or brakes...Sean and the crew have you covered.

They swapped out my winter tires for spring tires - wow were they fast, efficient, friendly and great prices! Thanks Snyder's.

Jeremy (I believe) was great. Faster than a Nascar Pit stop. Fixed my tire, threw it back on, honest pricing. Was on my way. Kevin

I drove in this morning for the first time, because my car was making a bad noise. I suspected it was a wheel bearing going out, but what do I know!? Went for a drive around the lake with the owner and he confirmed my suspicions. Fixed it same day for what I consider to be a very fair price! I just recently moved up here from Huntington Beach and could not be more pleased to have found Snyder's! I will feel very comfortable taking my car there with any future problems... And its a 2002 Ford, so I'm sure there will be plenty! Lol! read more
