We trusted this business with my 84-year-old grandfather's car. That was a mistake…read more The car sat for 2 years without meaningful progress while the owner demanded $1,500 a month to store it. When I refused to pay more for a car they had not repaired, she told me about her $40,000 monthly overhead. Her operating costs are not my grandfather's responsibility. He hired them to restore his car. She told me once, he keeps bringing parts. Last time I checked parts are needed to rebuild and restore a car. When work was finally started and progressing, it was sloppy. Parts went missing. Instead of giving us a clear record of what they had completed, what remained, and where the parts were, the owner made excuses and accused me of threatening to sue her. Then they tried to get my grandfather to sign a letter saying he had dementia and that I was forcing him to act against his will. That accusation was outrageous. We recently became aware that the business had gone bankrupt and went to have the car removed. Even after we paid them in full, they tried to stop my grandfather from getting his car back. It reached the point where we nearly had to call the police. This is only a small part of what happened. In my opinion, these people are crooks. I strongly advise anyone considering this business to take their vehicle elsewhere. They do terrible work and take advantage of people. _____________________________________________________________ Tanya, your response is beyond delusional. My grandfather was not happy with the work. He chose to remove his car, and he was dissatisfied with its condition when he got it back. A video of him dancing does not change that. You stopped the work, not me because you were threatened that we'd sue you. I repeatedly asked you to account for the missing parts and the work that had not been finished. Funny at least one part was "found" after the car was removed. I stated my concerns clearly in texts that I still have and can post. My grandfather authorized me to make payments on his behalf; I never claimed to make his decisions for him. After he removed the car, you continued calling him to bring it back so you could finish the work. When he told you the car was at another shop, you called him "hostile." You cannot claim he was happy and that I alone interrupted the work while leaving out that you kept asking him to return after he chose to take the car elsewhere. Your response reads like you are more concerned about being sued than about taking accountability. Stop speaking for my grandfather. He was unhappy with the work and made his own decision to leave.
